Yes I agree he sounds great! Seen him when he was back with Styx in the mid 90s in California.. one of the best concerts I have ever been to .. and I've seen many
I saw him a few years back live in con ert, his wife joined him on stage. What a duo! Couldn't ask for anything else. He and the band was amazing. Im 46 yes. Old. I reme4 him from thec80's, he's still got it. No, joke. Blessings ❤
I am 72 too and your songs are wonderful Your songs always brings back Memories for me but good ones like for you. I'm lonely been divorced 40 years what a jerk and it's still you babe always al
Wow 1979 the year I graduated high school. I wonder how many 40 somethings owe their existence to this song and a 70's big car back seat? Great song, glad to hear you still got the pipes keep on rocken!!.
Wow being famous celebrity and still keep 50 yrs and counting of marriage.. he is a lend indeed.. knowing that make me admired him most... Thank you Dennis
Wow for being well 75 now Dennis hasn't changed a bit, his voice still sounds as good or even betters than in the 80s this song speaks volumes. Especially to generation X who went to high school in the 80s, this is the iconic Styx song. Well done Dennis keep going my brother, thanks for the memories
I was at his concert at Seaworld late February in 2020. The guitar player gave me the paper off Dennis' with the setlist on it. Dennis sounded great the whole time. Overall a fantastic night. Who the hell would've thought three weeks later we'd be stuck in lockdown for this shitty ass pandemic.
My first concert was Styx at the international amphitheater in Chicago for the Grand Illusion tour. I remember waiting all night in cars with friends to be able to buy tickets in the morning when ticket master opened. Ahh the old days.
Here's a weird thought, does anyone think the fact that DDY at 75, TS at 68 and JY at 72 are still out there doing it, is because of spite? Most guys their age are DONE, but all 3 of them still look decent and still sing and play pretty damn well. They just keep going and going. I can almost hear all 3 of them on the treadmill, in the gym or in the practice sessions, "Ha, I'll never stop, no matter how tired I am, I will show them all!" For whatever reason, I hope they keep going long enough to reunite, even for just one night. Can you imagine a final farewell REAL STYX concert at Wriggly field, maybe done up as The Paradise??? I know John is gone and Chuck rarely visits anymore, but oh man, that could be a SHOW!
That's awesome God bless him I'm sorry I was judging him forgive me he is a true man of a wife a women and 49 years together wow wow wow and he can still hit those notes and not miss a beat
I was there in Evergreen Park when they laid the drummer to rest. I am absolutely thrilled to see Dennis still doing this song that well. Nothing but respect for that performance !!
What a voice, what a voice! He's 72 and still singing those high notes many young people couldn't. Legendary. Wonderful
Yes I agree he sounds great!

Dennis, I admire people like you that have what it takes to keep you family together for over 50 years.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
72??? holy shit! An absolute vocal legend, & the heart of Styx
You got that right J..!

He can still hit the notes and sing it in the right key, brilliant.
Dennis DeYoung (72) still sings Babe in the original key - and very very well!
He's showing his age. Still ok but the vocal range is gone
@@mike24819 at 72, it's still impressive to perform it without lowering a half-whole step.
@@mike24819 I was thinking the same thing. Not to mention what a self absorbed ass DDY is.

Best of all times, best of life, best wishes for him !!
OMG Dennis!! 70 yrs old and you sound like that....wow!!! Memories
72!!!
Dennis ...you still soind like its 1983!...Id do anything...to turn back the hands of time
Absolutely outstanding performance at the age of 72.
Total respect to a band that has stood the test of time.

I was born in December 1979 and I love his music.
Always loved this song, ah the eighties, what a time of awesome awesome music, well done Dennis you still have it!
Seen DDY at Epcot in 2014 and he was absolutely fantastic. My only time seeing him live. Thank you DDY from Scotland.
I was at this show and took my 4 year old. Dennis still sounds great and loved getting to hear those songs from him and not the imposter.
It's 100% DDY's need to be a dictator that gave the imposter the job to begin with.
Wow being famous celebrity and still keep 50 yrs and counting of marriage.. he is a lend indeed.. knowing that make me admired him most... Thank you Dennis
It's 2020, and for me its Dennis, Delp, Perry, Gramm, and Howe.
The voices of my youth and my old age.🤟
Me too David. What an era that was. Another old Dave in Berlin
Wow! My idol can still hit it just like before. Bravo!!! 👏
Saw Styx in 84 and what a great show. Dennis you still got it!!!
I saw them in 83. Amazing show, William, totally Amazing..!

This was one of the first songs I ever danced to at a skating rink to. Thanks for the memories.
Amazing voice! Killing it. Folks can age gracefully and stop with vanity and making these doctors rich!
He's wearing a terrible hairpiece, maybe he shouldn't have spent money on that.
What a great personality to go along with his timeless voice 🌹
Great voice, total d-bag. If it wasn't for his need to be a dictator, he would still be with Styx.
Oh no . Not good
Love him he still sounds the same wat a gem he is! The best!! ❤❤
@@shaneschirmer5238 than why would you think he’s still married with his wife of 50 years?
@@willthetrill4849 some people like to be dictated?

Rita, you are very polite..he sounds like shit, but hes old so I get it lol. Styx was a great band in their day!
@@sammyd9564...our voices change as we get older. Ok, he might not be as good as he was back then, but I was still impressed.
Thanks Dennis, we all know, you are that Styx thing and much more. There is no Styx without Dennis.
AMEN
I like Dennis, but Tommy & J.Y. are Styx

We owe your wonderful wife a lot!
God Bless her for keeping your life going so well. 🧡😀
Only few old singers with high vocal range can sing their song with the original keys. Dennis deyoung is one of them.
The whole band haven't lost their gift of their tremendous vocals. Mine went at 42. I'm not jealous 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
One of the BEST voices ever ! ❤️🇺🇸
My first concert was Styx at the international amphitheater in Chicago for the Grand Illusion tour. I remember waiting all night in cars with friends to be able to buy tickets in the morning when ticket master opened. Ahh the old days.
Wow..... Memories of roller skating, holding hands with a girl having just met. Good times, The Best of Times!
This man's voice and musicality does not change!
This is my favorite Styx song. Had the album. Cornerstone. Wow Dennis you still got it. Singing along.
No Way! I was not expected that AT ALL! He sounds the same. That is the difference in music back then... It was the real deal.
My first slow dance was to this song
what's the right key? this is the actual key it was written in.
You can still give me chills Dennis and I'm 72 now!
I was there. I've seen him at Epcot a few times, always a great show!
His voice never gets old.
Wow! Wasn’t expecting it to be this good 👏🏻👏🏻
Wow!! Sounds so amazing and an added bonus, he is funny as hell 😆.

Good genes. Blows my mind.

Styx lo mejor de los 80 yo en los 80 iba a una disco que se llamaba le paradis que tenía la portada del disco el paraíso lo mejor gracias styx
His backup band is phoning it in. No energy, no smiles, really bad. Dennis is doing a great job!
Because he doesn't have the talents like Dennis and Tommy. But that is ok I still love hearing him.

Babe (aka, I Love You, Suzanne) ... OK, maybe that title was too long, but we know ....... Congrats Dennis and Suzanne on a long and lasting love ....
Poor Dennis, the whole time he's singing, he's thinking of when the song was new. That is also me. I miss those days alot.
La vida se nos va pero estos grandes seres humanos serán eternos mis respetos Dennis De Young
This guy IS Styx. With him gone they don’t exist.
1000% agree. He may be closer to music teacher than to rock star for some, but he's one of a kind.
I couldn’t have said it any better!!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
@@davidgee2988 Yes..he demanded to showcase his softer ballards while Tommy Shaw wanted them to keep their hard rock edge..
