Kudos to any country or government that will help the Salvadorans and El Salvador to modernize. There’s no cause to turn this into some political statement. It’s not a crime to help a brother, when he’s down and out. Charity comes from the heart. A little investment can turn into a great fortune, and I honestly believe El Salvador is on the road to success. It sure was exciting to see the community having fun and dancing together on a Sunday afternoon. Fantastic people, and great music. Thank you for sharing this Jay Cee! The reality behind these so-called "donations" is that they come with a hefty price tag. While the government labels them as charitable contributions, the truth is far from it. The people of El Salvador will bear the brunt of the Chinese government's alleged benevolence. Numerous areas have been sold to foreign individuals, predominantly from China, transforming them into exclusive zones inaccessible even to locals. Similarly, countries like the United States exploit our resources and exacerbate regional poverty. Wealthy nations capitalize on our corrupt governments, facilitating their ascent to power. Prior to the gang formation, Americans provided military training and weaponry, indirectly fostering gang proliferation years later. One can only hope that in the future, a portion of our nation remains in the hands of Salvadoran citizens, untainted by the ulterior motives of these affluent nations posing as altruistic saviors.
Let's hope for the best.

It's China's "gift" as part of the one China policy. El Salvador switched from recognizing the Republic of China (Taiwan) to People's Republic (China). The CCP gave Costa Rica a national stadium years ago when they switched.

Reality is complex how Chinese communist have been so respectful with el Salvador and give support with this type of constructions. In the other hand USA has given not even a penny to El Salvador's government but had given all resources to NGO's to sponsor and acuse El salvador as a country with no democracy.

It’s not just the library the Chinese are building in El Salvador. It’s also a pier, a power plant, and a modern soccer stadium. I know why the Chinese are doing it. I think it’s obvious, and they are doing it all over Latin America. What fascinates me about all of this is that Salvadorians, in large part, don’t even ask what the Chinese want in return. They just accept it as progress and move on. I have seen many RUclips videos made by people from over there about these multiple projects. In the comments, I bring up the point that the communist Chinese government doesn’t even help their own people, they oppress them, so why would they help a country so far away? I never get an answer. You can even see it in the comments for this video: the resistance people have towards even bringing up the subject. The Chinese are not doing this out of kindness or charity. If they knew kindness and charity, they would show it to their own people. Salvadorians can ignore the question, but one day that Chinese bill is going to come due.
