    Today I listened to this video again two weeks later and realized I had missed information. 😊You said -ip means “and” and “then.” Your videos are worth a second or third listening because they’re full of information. Thank you.

    Just like you say, "it's that simple".🤣😂🤣 However, it becomes complicated when you have to change the pattern you have been used to use. For example, in English you would never say I went to the part by walking. You would just say I walked to the park. Another example is I went to New York by car or I drove to New York, rather than saying I went to New York by driving. So it's a matter of adjusting some language brain switches. 🙃

    • @LearnTurkishvia
      @LearnTurkishvia  2 года назад +2

      Exactly, you need to switch your mind set for every language you speak. 👍

    i don't understand why in "i left home without breakfast", "evden" comes before "ciktim", but in "i passed the exam withoug studying a lot," "sinavi" doesn't come before "gectim". is it possible to move "sinavi" before "gectim"?

    • @LearnTurkishvia
      @LearnTurkishvia  2 года назад +1

      For sure you can move "geçtim" before the verb. The subject should be in the beginning and the verb should be in the end but with other elements, you can play according to what you emphasize.

    Each of your sentences has one subject. Can -ip be used when a sentence has two subjects? Biz markete gidip iki çikolata aldım.

    • @LearnTurkishvia
      @LearnTurkishvia  4 месяца назад +1

      Good question. 👍
      No, it's not possible. All the actions must belong to only one subject.

      @@LearnTurkishvia 😲 Teşekkür ediyorum. Your -ken/when videos also has one subject sentences. Is this rule about one subject per sentence also true for -ken/when?

    • @LearnTurkishvia
      @LearnTurkishvia  4 месяца назад +1

      No, we can use more than one subject in the sentences with "-ken"
      When he was watching TV, I was sleeping.
      O TV izlerken ben uyuyordum.

    Merhaba. How can I connect 2 negatív sentence with 'ip'.
    Markete gittim ve iki çikolata aldım
    Matkete gidip iki çikolata aldım.
    Anladım.
    Markete gitmedim ve çikolata almadım. Nasıl yazayım?
    Markete gitmeyip çikolata almadım.
    Yoksa Markete gidip çikolata almadım. Hangisi doğru? Belki hiçbiri :D

    • @LearnTurkishvia

      Markete gidip çikolata almadım = I went to supermarket but didn't buy chocolate.
      Markete gitmeyip çikolata almadım. = I didn't go to supermarket and I didn't buy chocolate.
      But I must say it sounds wierd.
      We say like this: "Ne markete gittim ne de çikolata aldım" or "Markete de gitmedim, çikolata da almadım"
