Good morning Jacob, I hope this day finds you doing well. I never was big about watching things on YT until a few months ago when I finally got a tablet big enough to see. Very much lucky for me your channel was one of the first ones I ran across. I spent most of that day watching The Carpetbagger videos and enjoyed every one. Literally your channel was the first that I subscribed to. I absolutely adore the way you show things and places without prejudice or malice. You have such a pure heart, and I would follow you almost any where. Thank You so much for showing me a lot of places I would never otherwise be able to enjoy. Since I live on the west coast, I wake up grab a cup of coffee and watch your newest video. The only thing I would ask is please don't let the haters get to you. It makes me cry to see you upset over the words of some hateful moron that has nothing better to do than belittle others. You make the world so much better for myself and a multitude of people around the world. I'm sure there are a lot of us that would stand and fight for you Jacob. We love our Carpetbagger, you are awesome my friend. Please, please keep being you. Much love and hugs to you and Jen from the left coast
Love the insight into the cps system. I can't imagine what those kids go through and i bet you were a great help to them. You're by far the most genuine person on RUclips.
What an interesting Museum. Shocked at the diversity of the articles left behind .I am so glad they are donating some of the luggage to foster children. I used to always try to find shopping bags or backpacks for the children so their belongings did not have to go into garbage bags. I always thought the unclaimed luggage was auctioned off . Loved the Big chicken . Safe travels . Keep Safe❤Keep Well❤
I have worked down the street from Unclaimed Baggage for 25 years and have lived in Scottsboro most of my life and you did a fantastic job showing it off! 🎉
I love your videos. I'm always happy when a new one is posted. Really glad your returned to the lost luggage place. I always wanted to travel, but sadly my husband was sick for a number of years..so I had to work and take care of him. I am now a widow at 45 years old. I don't know what the future holds, but I hope to be able to travel one day. Keep up the awesome job that you do. Because of you I do get to see some of the world ❤❤❤ and I think you and Jenn make a wonderful couple, I love when she joins you on your journeys. Be safe out there❤
Just came here to say I do that too! I put a paper in my checked bag, carry on and personal item just in case. I also have a luggage tag with my phone number and email address securely attached to the handles, and a smart tag in the checked bag and carry on 🙂. The paper has my contact info, flight info and address and phone number of where I'm staying on what dates.
What a terrific video! This was really interesting. Thanks for taking us along. I really appreciated your comments about the importance of luggage to foster children and teens.
9:43 Sadly, Jean-Michel Basquiat died in the 80s as a young man in his 20s. He was an amazing artist, and a friend and collaborator of Andy Warhol. There are some good documentaries and films about his life. For sure worth checking out!
Jacob I hope you never stop doing what you do I have health problems I require nurses mon thru Fri I have at least four watching you now love you so much❤😊
I play the bagpipes and they can range from $1000 and up depending on if you get silver or not. the kilts are usually custom made in Scotland and they are expensive as well. bagpipe bands usually have their own tartan that they want everyone to have so it matches. it baffles me how someone can loose or leave the whole thing on an airplane. I usually have all of my items with me in the plane I usually do not check them as checked luggage from it being expensive. And the Bagpipes are usually expensive to fix as well.
9:14 there’s the start of your new video intros! I pictured your banjo theme playing while an animation plays of you poking out of different suitcases in a pile, then you jump out of one and grab it as you take off on your next adventure 😊
I really want to go to Unclaimed Baggage one day. I saw it a decade ago on Travel Channel. I was hoping one day you would go! Glad you made my wish come true!
Jacob, aw that luggage and your story about foster children not having proper luggage and having to use trash bags 😢. Bless you for your work, and bless those who donate luggage or purchase it for those children ❤.
Hi Carpetbagger, thanks for another great video. I don't comment . on anyone's videos but I have found myself comment on your videos and a few others. See I have went through cancer a rare cancer of the throat. I have been very sick throughout my journey which I was a watcher of your videos from way back before the channel I do watch daily plus I go back and watch your old ones daily as well since I have had the time. Your videos help me escape the pain and emotional, mental feelings throughout the day. I was asked if I accomplished my treatments what would be number 1 on my bucket list or what I call my second life dream wish list? My number 1 is to do the route 66 complete road trip,2 meet carpetbagger and jenny penny , I just want you and Jenny both to know that your videos help others escape sickness, heartbreak and emotional times some more difficult than others. You should be proud of yourself as others are of you guys. Keep doing the videos. Much love and prayers 🙏 ❤️
I watch Your videos every night, first thing, and it is the cherry on top of my day 🍒✨😻 It's so good to see Hoggle in great shape ❣️ I think it is fascinating to think about the stories behind the items there 🤩 As always, Thank You for bringing Us along with You Jacob 🙏💝💼😻
I'm worried they'll also eventually open a pet store with all the animals they lose. 😅 The museum looks great! The information about the foster luggage was sad but touching as well. I wish kids didn't go through that. I appreciated the vid. Keep up the great work! 😊
I think a lot of the luggage gets lost because of employee irresponsibility at the terminals. I've known luggage to get put on the wrong flight or wrong bus or not put on at all. I've known some luggage to get broken into & robbed out of. Me & friend once took a bus ride from the south end of AR to the north end of AR to pick up a car to drive back home. It needed a radiator so we put a replacement radiator in a box to go with us. We seen the box put on the 1st of 3 busses we traveled on, but when we got to our last destination the box was nowhere to be found. It arrived the next day on a different bus.
Is not a lot of this luggage when people are returning from destinations also? So when a lot of the time say the wedding dresses. They already got married and they're just returning home. But the dress doesn't return with them. Don't want to necessarily be sad for the bride. Because they used the dress. It just didn't come home with them.
Oh I thought I would mention a camrea for you to look into DJI Osmo Pocket 3 it's a little pricey but not bad the videos are great on RUclips. I think it's size and all it's packaged in the camera could be a great help to you and when your filming on rides plus the tracking is great and easy hidden if you need to do so. ❤❤❤
I love the Labyrinth movie, when it came out I had to buy a VHS tape from the underground! As for the luggage, it is amazing how many things people leave behind on planes and trains! I love that they paint the luggage for foster children!
The wheelchairs make me so sad. It’s bad enough that airlines break like 7 wheelchairs a day. But imagine you depend on a wheelchair to get anywhere, even around your house, and all of a sudden *poof* vanished into thin air. Those things can cost more than a new car these days. I’m sure those ones go missing less often, but still. Even manual wheelchairs can cost thousands of dollars. But also something you literally need to function. I’m glad another person gets to use them but still. That sounds like an awful thing to have to go through
Ha ha I suppose light hearted humor is a way to present that store and its type of retail sales. What’s surprising is the location for such a store. Alabama must have finders keepers law(s). Other states have unclaimed property laws mandating escheatment to the state.
When I was young my parents traveled all over the orient and bought me a inflated cain they carefully took it with them when they went to various countrys, as they bought it at the first place they visited. Unfortunately they left it on the plane when they came back to the usa. The only thing was a picture of my mom with it when she arrived in China. Wonder if it ever made it to the unclaimed luggage center?
Tom Spina did the Hoggle restoration. He's about the best in the business for restoring and preserving old props. Pics of the restorations are on his website.
I got my name/address on my army backpacks. And any tag they give me. “The Big Chicken!” I never seen that before. Cool that it’s got it’s own merchandise.
I was thinking during the video Justin Scarred did at the Ripley's museum, they were saying they had a mummified hawk confiscated. Interesting. Hard to believe some of this stuff wouldn't have been claimed.
Hey Jacob... This is Stanley. Remember I called out your name @ Stone Mountain Park this past Saturday! It was So cool to meet you in person. Just getting off work sitting in my car watching your videos as usual.. LOL Keep on traveling Carpetbagger!!! Wish I can one day travel our beautiful country and possibly the world 🌍 You and Jenn are totally right for each other ❤
It makes me sad thinking about all the stories behind the lost luggage. Yes u might think well if the owner wanted it back they would have went back to claim it, well it doesn’t always work out that way. Sometimes the staff are incompetent or stuff gets accidentally discarded or damaged.
Boy Jacob i sure wold like to dig around in that unclaimed baggage , that would be HOOT!! wheeling around in there in my wheelchair, lol. couldn't you see me going around?? that was very interesting & your supper looked great .especially that Meatloaf [ my favorite] but where was the ""cornbread""?? I have to have my bread. i don't feel satisfied if i don't, so where is the next adventure taking us?? can't WAIT..

I’m sorry for your loss, I hope everything gets better soon.
❤🙏🏻💐
Sorry for your loss, I hope you heal soon.
Excellent video! I never knew about this place.
Great job 👏 highlighting the importance of foster children and their belongings placed in suitcases. Thanks Jacob TCB ⚡️!
I so agree with you about the garbage bags. I’ve always wanted to go to the unclaimed baggage while visiting my sister in Huntsville.
This is why I always print out my flight details twice and put one inside my suitcase as well as keeping one on my person.
😮that's a great idea. I going to do that

Thank you for all the work you do,I’m elderly and bed bound you have no idea how much joy I get from your travels.❤
From one social worker to another, thank you so much for your foster care and luggage message. It was so well said and beautifully put. ❤
Thanks for all the hard work Jacob.
Every day watcher. Always rooting 🎉 for a safe adventure for you 🎉🎉
On an up note, maybe the wedding dresses were lost on the trip back, after the wedding 🤞🏻
I hope so❤
Labyrinth is one of my favorite films 22:26
This is just astonishing, can’t believe how much stuff gets left behind!

Nailed it AGAIN Jacob!!

Hi Jacob 👋🏽. I would love to go there.
I have a Muhammad Ali signature I had no idea it was rare. I’m always learning about something new on here, thanks Jacob!
I really want to go to Unclaimed Baggage one day. I saw it a decade ago on Travel Channel. I was hoping one day you would go! Glad you made my wish come true!

I love this place! I've only been once but I cant wait to return.
Stay happy. Stay well. Peace.
I always wondered what happened to unclaimed luggage. Nice to see that they don't just put everything in the trash.
I put luggage tags on all my bags and putting address info inside too is helpful.
😮that's a great idea, I'm going to do that
Great video Jacob be safe on the road

A lot of the small theaters list two movies but show them at different times on one screen.
Saw that Cedar Point is not letting Crocks and flip flops on Top Thrill Dragster 2.
Wow, something I've actually seen. We stayed in Marietta right down the road from the Big Chicken.
This was interesting ! I never loss anything at the airport !
Museum was amazing & wedding dresses ! Gosh !!!
I'm worried they'll also eventually open a pet store with all the animals they lose. 😅 The museum looks great! The information about the foster luggage was sad but touching as well. I wish kids didn't go through that. I appreciated the vid. Keep up the great work! 😊

Put your ID on the bag, in the bag, and an Apple Airtag helps.
That's a great idea, thanks
Loved the big chicken!
I have been to the store there. Found some good stuff.
What did you buy?
i work here at unclaimed been following and watching your videos for a while can’t believe i missed you in store 😫

Interesting place. Cool restaurant, your dinner looked good. I liked what you said about foster kids.
Great message Jacob ❤. This is why i love to see your vid everyday

I wonder if DFW Airport has an Unclaimed Baggage Store ?!?! If they do I haven't heard of it.

That's so cool to see Hoggle get restored and preserved like that.
Great video 😊

Half hour from me. Wish I’d known you were there. I would have came to meet you! Love the video :)
Thanks for bringing up the suitcases for foster kids. Our two foster children had nothing. Now they are our adopted children 😀.
Thanks for adopting your two children.❤❤❤❤
Hoggle!! So glad they were able to restore him. ❤
I thought 💭 so too
12:23 there water skis lol
Hoggle!! It's so cool to see him get restored and preserved. Hope you have fun Jacob! 😊😊
That was amazing I never knew thier was such a place.
Hello Jacob great to see you and your videos 📸😊

I would love to go here someday.
FYI: The actress, Lucille Benson, played Mrs. Elrod in Halloween II (1981) is buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery right behind Unclaimed Baggage.
I got a 160 year old family bible out of there , I donated it to the Rome Genealogy department at the library. $6
Nice Hodag on your hat!!
I always thought they sold the luggage grab-bag style. Where you don’t know what’s inside until you buy and open it. That would be more fun for me!
Lol. Same.... kinda disappointed it's not that way.
I believe that some of the articles are overly priced
It makes me sad thinking about all the stories behind the lost luggage. Yes u might think well if the owner wanted it back they would have went back to claim it, well it doesn’t always work out that way. Sometimes the staff are incompetent or stuff gets accidentally discarded or damaged.
