When I was around 12-13 I was a passenger in a fatal car accident. The morning of we were going to take our sedan but I had a really weird feeling, I begged my grandfather to take the truck instead. As soon as I went to scream out look out that’s when the impact happened. My head hit the window and I was knocked out or stunned it felt like we were rolling. The airbags did not deploy. I woke up to my grandmother trying to wake up my grandpa who was grey and unconscious. There were around 20 people surrounding the truck I was asking where is the other car?!! We were on top of the other car. We both were going around 60 mph and I still have ptsd from that car wreck. We were transported to the hospital and my grandfather told the doctors and paramedics how I begged him to take the truck. They just looked at him and said it’s a miracle you all survived in the truck in the car you would have been dead on impact. Sometimes reaction time is all it takes!! A few years ago, back in 1989, I was driving on a back country road here in New York, doing the speed limit which was "unposted", so I was driving 55 on the road. Suddenly from a dirt side road I saw a van dart out, stop for a split second and began to pull out in front of me!! I had no time to slow down, zero distance to stop in, and I had just enough time to scream at my wife in the passenger seat to "HOLD ON!"!! As the van ignored the stop sign completely, and pulled into the road in front of me, I aimed my 1988 Ford Tempo to the rear of the van and the dirt road it was pulling off of. As the front tire caught the edge of the dirt road I jerked the steering wheel back, forcing my Tempo up on the two driver's side wheels!! Now I am NOT a stunt driver by any means, but given the short amount of time I had to think about it, and given the speed and our trajectory I KNEW by doing this maneuver that I would miss the van completely and avoid and accident there! About 50 yards though on two wheels I gently aimed the car back onto the road, and gently steering the wheels to drop the passenger side tires back on the ground!! When I was finally able to stop the idiot in the van, didn't even stop to see if we were OK even though he was apparent he never actually stopped for the sign and cut us off!! I only wish that back in 1989 we had dash cameras, because to this day I am certain nobody actually believes this story......but it really made me freak having avoided a wreak as an "unofficial stunt driver"!!

There is no video to prove it, but I was trapped in a coastal sea cave during a storm at high tide. My attempts to swim out against the deadly waves failed. Not being a particularly religious man, I screamed, "God, please help me!" as a fearsome surge of breakers filled the cave. I was trying to grab onto the cave's ceiling when this deluge began receding out of the sea cave taking me with it. Another massive set of waves forcefully countered the flow pulling me seaward, and lifted me high enough against the cliffside where I grabbed onto a ledge as the sea retreated below me. After resting on that ledge for 15 minutes thanking God, I crawled along that ledge to a path leading me to safety. Was it God that controlled the sea that day or was it just mere chance that spared my life? All I can say is from that day on, I trusted God. Trusting chance had never really worked out that well for me.
@@fandaklada609 Actually, he didn't! There's a longer version of the vid on RUclips that shows how me managed to get back to the original jetty without falling in. MsG
When I was in the Army as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division, we were doing a training jump to prepare for Grenada. This was back in 1983. The wind was a little too strong for jumping that day, but we went anyway. Hundreds, or perhaps thousands of jumpers were in the sky at the same time. Upon my exit of the plane (C130) a big gust of wind flipped me upside down. After 4 seconds, my static line opened my chute while I was still inverted. The chute then wrapped around my right leg. As we were jumping from a mere 250 ft, there was no time to pull my reserve and even if I did, it probably would have gotten tangled up in my main chute. So as fast as I could I unwrapped the chute from my leg. Looking back on this, I don't know how I accomplished this, but I did. I was then jerked upright and my chute finally opened less than 50 ft from the ground. I was supposed to turn into the wind, but there was no time. I was supposed to release my rucksack but there wasn't time. I slammed into the sand on the drop zone at least twice as fast as normal and then landed on the wrong side of my body where my rifle was. The wind dragged me across the drop zone while I struggled to release one side of my chute. I switched to trying the other side and it finally released, thereby collapsing my chute and bringing me to a stop. With a huge sigh of relief, I closed my eyes for a second and let the air that I was holding in my lungs out. When I opened my eyes and looked up, I learned that another jumper was about to land on me and had to roll over while he landed on my chute. I know this sounds unbelievable, but it really did happen. Somehow I was completely uninjured. But that is not quite the end of the story. Immediately after gathering up my chute, I had to find the Gamma Goat that we dropped from another plane and drive it over to the spot where the howitzer landed and hook up. Then I had to find the rest of my squad and the firing range, then send off a round. Following that, we were all in formation, being told results. I actually can't remember how we did, because of something the battery commander said to me. He asked who was the 5th man out of the plane, and I answered that I was. He then told me something that I will never forget. He said that I, (the guy who got flipped upside down and most definitely should have died or got severely injured), had the best exit out of the plane in the entire battery! I can only assume that he meant that I jumped out the farthest, and that also he did not see what happened to me after that.
