  • This is a documentary about Mulefoot pigs. Mulefoot are a heritage breed, meaning they were found on farms 100 years ago. Their syndactyl feet is their primary breed characteristic. This means they have a single toe on each foot instead of a split hoof.

    These are one of the breeds we want to raise on our family farm. I hope they are around for a very long time. They are so adorable! Look at the babies!

    We raise mulefoot and Hampshires. The Hampshire meat is excellent but the mulefoot is out of this world. We breed a mulefoot boar to a Hampshire guilt and just had piglets. Looking forward to seeing how the meat turns out.

    So do they only have 1 toe or is it 2 toes in one hoof. Douse that not keep them in the swine zoological cadigory.

      They have one toe on each foot. They are still swine.

    Where is this breeder located at?

      Keith Clinker this breeder was out of Parma, MI but is now out of the business. You can however go to the Mulefoot Association website for a list of registered breeders. Here is the link: americanmulefoot.com/breeder-info

    How large of a pasture area do we need for 2-3 hogs?

      sandy peters 60 square feet for grower/breeder pigs and 100 square feet for pasture/breeder pigs

    I have about a dozen mulefoot pigs plan on keeping a couple gilts for breeding wondering if anyone is interested in buying some they weigh approximately 50lbs.I live in Central Mo
