it's weird that just as I was thinking of learning this song, marty has just uploaded the tutorial right on time, and this isn't even the first time this has happend
Marty I’m so glad after all this time you still seem to upload videos on every song I ever want to learn. I go to you before anyone. Thank you so much for your hard work and commitment I’ve been watching you for a long time!
Thank you Marty, I have been playing this song for the last, almost fifty years wrong. I always played the high B and E strings from bottom to top and the way you showed me on this video corrected me. Once again thank you all you show us.
I'd check out Carl Brown's lesson on Guitar365. Marty is a good teacher, but Carl's lessons are almost always more accurate. For example, the way Carl shows you how to play the riff that plays before the "If I ever get out of here" section sounds much more accurate and like the song, instead of just saying it's two guitar parts and having you choose one, which makes the sound much less full.
I know this is an old thread, but thought I should add yes, it is kind of 3 songs in one, this is something he did while in the Beatles. There were multi part songs like Golden Slumber. He started writing the parts of Uncle Albert/ Admiral Halsey before the Beatles broke up, then finished it for his Ram album in 1971.
I swear you did this song years and years ago because I remember learning this song on YT back in like 2013 and you and Justin Sandercore were the only teachers I watched lol
This was great! I love McCartney songs. I grew up with the Beatles and then Wings. I loved this song. My brother learned guitar years before I could ever play, and this was one he knew. I always planned to learn it. BTW, is that guitar the one you received from Gibson? I remember watching another one of your videos where you did a walk through of the Gibson factory. In that video they gifted a Guitar to you at the end. I believe it looked like this one. Its definitely a beautiful, guitar, I really like the color.
Marty! You are the MAN! Loved this song as a kid and im adding it too my set list. I appriciate your vids! If you ever find yourself near Muscle Shoals? lmk Ill get you into the Studios here, Fame, Holly Manor, Avalon Ave, Wishbone. Im frinds with all the owners :)
That amazing kinda day when works called off at lunch cuz of rain you get home and realize you after noons gonna be learning band on the run lol... finally I get to play along to the 45 I own of this song.. #winning
I have a few suggestions for songs you could do next... just in case you're looking! 1. Petra - "Beyond Belief" 2. Fall Out Boy - "Centuries" or "The Phoenix" 3. Skillet - "Hero" or "Whispers In The Dark"

great content. thanks. im sounding good on the end of the intro the last 15, 14 slide 12 but im sounding way off on the opening 10 hammer 12 10 . any thoughts. is it the settings on the amp? also im having trouble making the second run through on the very opening chords sound different like they do in the recording.
