I agree 100%, there's nothing like shopping and planning to buy somebody the perfect gift and they won't even open it or paying somebody's way in somewhere because you know they can't afford it but you just want to spend time with them and they keep talking about paying you back! Trying to do works to earn the love does not work, let him love you, fall in love with him and everything else falls into place!
