@@Ibirdball At some point before the March 5, 1966 Mount Fuji crash G-APFE was repainted into a modified version of the BOAC-Cunard scheme shown at 0:40, with B.O.A.C. in gold letters about where the Cunard name was. There are pictures of it taxiing out for takeoff at HND. Gruesomely, it taxied past the wreckage of Canadian Pacific 402, a DC-8-43 that had crashed on landing the night before, killing 64/72 on board. Just over 2 years later G-ARWE, BA 712 on April 4, 1968, suffered an uncontrolled engine failure just out of LHR and returned there, with 5 fatalities including a cabin attendant who was directing evacuation.
+Mr Chickenn I've literally just recorded an update about AT4 xD, but the way it will be uploaded is going to be changed. All will be revealed in the update :).
They originally got the de Havilland Comet, Bristol Britannia and Vickers VC10 but quickly saw the 707 as more financially viable, even though they were the airline that helped create all three of those British airliners. In 1955 they originally ordered the Vickers VC7 (it would've looked like this - www.flickr.com/photos/boxbrownie3/40573769790/in/photolist-24Pnbc1-8BTqDZ-H8TyMe-J4HYLp-H8TwWa-r16LWB-Pz3VLS-Pz3VSU-bSPtqt-TucBXG-SDPLKj-rWUfpZ ) that was essentially the British 707/DC-8 that would've arrived in time for the EIS of the US jet airliners. BOAC then cancelled the order, citing the proposed Rolls-Royce Conways to not have enough power - but 15 months later ordered 707s powered by the same engine! By this time of course BOAC had given Vickers plenty of time to destroy the 80% complete prototype and all the development associated with it...
1962 - G-APFE picture - 707 involved as flight 911.
R.I.P to everyone that perished in flight 911.
So it is :/.

+Mr Chickenn It is kinda :).
Apparently B.O.A.C were called the Boeing only aircraft corporation because they bought so much 707s.
