You always get the post card scenery Marcus.. looks like an unbelievable place. I hope you go there in the summer time see the landscape change. Nice flight
Hi Marcus.....Nice area for a flight. Be interesting to see the area in the springtime and see the water level difference. That Fimi has a nice camera.........👍
Hi Marcus, nice flight with your Fimi X8 SE 2022. It would be nice if Fimi added a histogram to the app, and a better camera in future models would be appreciated. IMO you would be very happy getting the $299 Fimi TX10 smart controller. It has many more desirable features than the DJI RC and is a perfect companion for the Fimi X8 SE 2022. While we love and enjoy our DJI and Autel drones, there is always a place in the fleet for the Fimi X8 SE 2022. It's a pilots drone for sure.
Very scenic area to fly, but the camera really overexposed much of video. I saw the same thing in your last Fimi video, the camera doesn’t seem to compensate for the wide open 1.7 aperture lens. And I never hear anyone talk about ND filters for the Fimi, which would probably help. When you had those disconnects and drone lowered itself, that was a big alarming. Great video Marcus, thanks for sharing.
Hey Marcus. It looks like on auto RTH it drops to the selected RTH height. (following the data on the screen recording) But when you do a command RTH it did not drop in height. Just an observation. I might take a drive to Robie Creek and get some footage but I think I want to be on one of the bluffs rather than in the bottom. I have driven to the point you see in the video at 7:13 where you can just see a road to the left. (similar to Celebration point location.) I just finished a video of Jerusalem road which publishes on Tuesday. (I'll have to look into the permit thing.) Thanks for the video.
Yeah, I need to mess around with the drone and get that all figured out. The important thing is to get that RTH height set correctly. I need to remember to hit that check mark. Thank you!
I consider max RTH mandatory going up slopes and needing to know when your height above ground is past RTH height. Lose connection and the drone descends into the ground with lost signal. So nurse the RTH height going up slopes to avoid crashing while waiting for a reconnect. Not that hard right. Mind the drones AGL and adjust RTH accordingly if hanging around.
@@IdahoQuadcopter Could be the software picks thee higher or current altitude and RTH. Designers could of taken into account some guys push their luck going over and around obstacles. You could from start of flying have RTH lower than flown and see if the drone descends. Any excuse to fly it :)
You really do live in a very scenic part of the world and the camera looks as good as most would ever need. I think what may have happened with the lower RTH was perhaps when trying to yaw when the signal was lost, you probably had a little decent also and the fimi being the fimi does everything fast and of course you couldn't tell. Hindsight is wonderful I know but I think in that position, I'd have either gone straight into RTH on the controller or if feeling brave done a straight backwards manoeuvre on the sticks rather than attempt a turn when blind. Of the 2 I think the RTH switch would have won out. If it was a mistake, we all make them but if you do it on a video we can all learn from it rather than only being able to learn from our own. I think on my SE 2020 I'll be dumbing down the response on the vertical stick!! Thanks again for a great video in your lovely part of the world.
I thought the most return to home is work on the premise of if they are lower than the return to home height they will rise up to, but if they are higher than the return to home height, they stay where they are
I'm jealous of the that beautiful, rugged terrain that you have near you. I do have a procedural question. Max legal altitude is 400 feet above ground level. When you are in hilly terrain, isn't that referenced to the highest obstacle around you, not your take off altitude? Couldn't you have legally gone 400' above the mesas that you flew over? Thanks for another fun video?
Awesome as usual....what is different between that one and the 2020....same camera isn't it? I know after the latest FW updates my 2020 is all good. They haul the mail...Stay safe my friend...😎
Why do you continue to use metric settings in your drones? I like to pay attention to at what altitude you are doing things, but I always have to think for a second and do the math in my head.
Really enjoying seeing these pre recorded flights. Fantastic scenery you have there and it’s especially good seeing the changes during the year there.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you!
Nice Marcus, let’s get that bird in the air love all your videos man keep doing it
Thank you Robert!!
Love the landscape. Thanks for the flight, Marcus. Oh, for warmer days…
Thank you George! It was a fun flight!
Great place to fly. Can fly it in the rain, that's cool
Thank you. I'll go back there again.
Wow Marcus you have such amazing spots by you. Wish I had that here . I do miss my fimi . It was my first lover 😂 great video

Thank you Michael! I do plan on returning to that spot again. The Mavic 3 would be perfect here. 😁
@@IdahoQuadcopter 100 per cent Marcus couldn’t think of a better drone for the job. Make a great video be looking forward to that. Hope all is well
Great place to fly. Love the view. Not bad of drone. Have fun out there Marcus. Keep pushing the hobby. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much Herman!!
What a beautiful place to fly! Man you have it good lol! Nice flying as always Mister Crawford!
It's always fun to fly at a new spot Matty. 😀 Thank you!

Nice flight and another great video! Love the videos and content. Can’t wait for some better weather to get my mini 3 pro and Air 2s out flying!
Thank you very much! Yeah, I'm ready for spring too!
I really enjoyed the FIMI x8se 2022 videos. I mostly use mine in the winter as it performs very well in the cold (better than me, for sure). Thanks.
Thank you Steve! It does hold up very well in the cold.

Thank you, Ron. I have a feeling that I inadvertently descended on the return. Point taken on the over exposure.

Thank you. Evidently, I lowered altitude on the first RTH. On the second one the drone remained at its current height. Thank you.

Yes, too bad drones can't measure AGL. You just have to guess in hilly country.
Marcus it looks like the FINALLY got the X8 dialed in with the horizon and sharpness on the camera. I wish my 2020 version looked that good.
Thank you Patrick! This one is not bad.
Hope the recent rain events have helped to raise the creeks and reservoirs in your area. If so these areas much look very different today.
Yeah, they're dumping water out of the reservoir like crazy right now.

I agree, I'm pretty sure I inadvertently descended. Thank you for your thoughtful analysis.
Awesome flight Marcus! I wish I had the 2022 model. The 2020 is good but not as nice as the 2022 especially the gimbal
Thank you Ryan! The new camera is a big improvement. 👍

Yes, you certainly can. For that reason some set their height limit higher than 400ft.

Nice shots buddy! Try switching white balance to fluorescent and see what you think to the video quality. 😊
I do need to try that. Thank you!

I still have my 2020 se I love it I just need a battery but cant afoard one as of now you cant go up to 400 feet I don't know meter's is that 400 feet
Thank you, Gene. 400 feet is roughly 120 meters.

I wonder if the TX10 FIMI controller could possibly help with the loss of signal issues ?
It might, I don't know.
sir what apps did u use to record ur voice in the video?
The DJI mic system. 👍
do you know how works the batery recicle?
I do not. That might be a question for Fimi support.
What is The Height limit on this drone? Specs say 800 meters, Is that true?Got one sitting under The Christmas Tree right now😊
Maximum legal is 400 meters, so it's not something I have ever explored.
Cool drone!
Thank you!
Hi! Its better than Hubsan Zino 2+?
I like them both. 🤷♂️

Most of the drone manuals are in metric. I like the system. 👍
Has anyone used ND filters on their x8 se 2022 ? if so how do you get them to stay on ?
I have not, hopefully someone will comment.
