Criminal or not, we all have the right to due process. In the future, when an officer of the law arrests a person, they will think twice before they kneel on the suspect's neck for over 9 minutes.

Lamont I do like to view some of your videos. But I do agree we all have our own opinions how we see things. I'll give you credit about that part. Derek Chauvin deserves his sentence like anyone else who kill/murder a person. George Floyd was already handcuffed it doesn't matter if he was resisting arrest or not. I'm not here to argue with you Lamont or anyone else. A police officer job is to protect and service that's it. Not place a knee on someone's neck for several seconds or minutes.
What happened to Floyd was horrific and no one deserved what happened to him. But Floyd like many had demons and if we"re going to have an honest conversation all aspects of his life need to be addressed. Addressing his bad side does not mean that he deserved to die. Too bad we"re not allowed to have an honest dialogue without getting cancelled.

Hi Lamont, I have been going thru your postings on this channel for a few weeks now. I enjoy and do sub to a few of your others channels. And sometimes I post a comment. So I am a little bit behind on this channel. I respect your point of view, and honesty. I think maybe it could open a pathway to more discussions on this case and others. I feel that some should look at this piece and "argee to disagree". No need for hatefulness. Do I agree on your description of the police officer? Yes I do, the US does not provide the needed training to police officers. In most of Europe, it takes year's of training for a person to become an officer. In the US it takes only a few months. Police Officer's need additional training to deal with people who suffer with mental illness, or addictions. Do I feel that the money spent on his funeral was out of control? Yes, I think that money should have been placed aside for his child. Or it could have been setup to help other's who have addictions, or maybe a scholarship in his name. Do I feel the Officer should service time? Yes, he is sworn to protect and service his community. His actions that day reflected he did not care to do that. Mr. Floyd was restrained, he was not able to breathe. No indication that the Officer was in fear of his life. He had no cause to keep his knee on his neck. He failed to up hold his oath, in doing so he needs to answer for his crime, as would anyone who breaks the law. I agree that some people used his death to just riot. Nothing will ever change if we riot. We can be angry, but we take that anger and we use it in a peaceful matter. Change comes from open dialogue, that express the pain, hurt and suffering that Mr. Floyd's death caused. Words are more powerful than we know. Towards the end of the video I saw John Tentas grave he was a professional wrestler that went by the name of earthquake on wwf wrestling. He passed away from bladder cancer in 2006. I wonder did Lamont know who this person was ? He didn’t stop to recognize him so probably not. 12:40 minute mark of video.

The problem was that once he was on the ground, he wasn’t given a chance to comply. Chaivin told him to get into the car, and Floyd said he would. But when he told him to get up right at that moment, Floyd said that he couldn’t, which is understandable given that he was still pinned to the ground and couldn’t move.

Sadly we live in a world where if you have an opinion there will be someone telling you that you are not entitled to it. Or rather they will call you entitled if you speak it. It has become dangerous to keep an open mind. I like that you have a willingness to share honestly and openly in such a world. I do however believe that some people become cops to help their community. Most of my family are police officers, firefighters, search and rescue, emt, forest rangers ect.... My family has been doing this for generations. I know some did it for the excitement, some thought it was expected because mom and dad did it, But truly the majority of us just want to help. My Uncle was killed in the line of duty and sadly his son took his own life shortly after. I miss them both. But I will also say this.... Cops do become jaded. As do any first responder and those that do end up making mistakes that cost lives or cause harm. I will freely admit that this has happened more than two or three times in my family. Keep speaking your truth. It is a brave thing to do in these times.

I waited til I saw everything about the case. When I saw the body cam footage is when I realized that both the cop and Floyd were equally guilty. If GF had just sat his ass down when the cop was putting him in the squad car,he'd still be alive to commit more crimes.

A police officer once said, "It is a front row seat to the greatest show on earth." There were officers holding George's legs, there was no reason to kneel on the side of his neck. On the other hand, if you can yell "I can't breathe," repeatedly, you can obviously breathe.

It wasn’t until I watched the whole entire trial & seen the actual police cam footage that I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt the police officers ( all of them involved with this terrible tragedy) are INNOCENT!! Criminal or not, we all have the right to due process. In the future, when an officer of the law arrests a person, they will think twice before they kneel on the suspect's neck for over 9 minutes.
Or not be high on fentanyl in public being a danger to society. Whole situation wouldn't have happened. If you can't expect all citizens to be perfect then you can't expect all police officers to be. You can however choose not to live a life of crime.

Lamont I do like to view some of your videos. But I do agree we all have our own opinions how we see things. I'll give you credit about that part. Derek Chauvin deserves his sentence like anyone else who kill/murder a person. George Floyd was already handcuffed it doesn't matter if he was resisting arrest or not. I'm not here to argue with you Lamont or anyone else. A police officer job is to protect and service that's it. Not place a knee on someone's neck for several seconds or minutes.
What happened to Floyd was horrific and no one deserved what happened to him. But Floyd like many had demons and if we"re going to have an honest conversation all aspects of his life need to be addressed. Addressing his bad side does not mean that he deserved to die. Too bad we"re not allowed to have an honest dialogue without getting cancelled.

Hi Lamont, I have been going thru your postings on this channel for a few weeks now. I enjoy and do sub to a few of your others channels. And sometimes I post a comment. So I am a little bit behind on this channel. I respect your point of view, and honesty. I think maybe it could open a pathway to more discussions on this case and others. I feel that some should look at this piece and "argee to disagree". No need for hatefulness. Do I agree on your description of the police officer? Yes I do, the US does not provide the needed training to police officers. In most of Europe, it takes year's of training for a person to become an officer. In the US it takes only a few months. Police Officer's need additional training to deal with people who suffer with mental illness, or addictions. Do I feel that the money spent on his funeral was out of control? Yes, I think that money should have been placed aside for his child. Or it could have been setup to help other's who have addictions, or maybe a scholarship in his name. Do I feel the Officer should service time? Yes, he is sworn to protect and service his community. His actions that day reflected he did not care to do that. Mr. Floyd was restrained, he was not able to breathe. No indication that the Officer was in fear of his life. He had no cause to keep his knee on his neck. He failed to up hold his oath, in doing so he needs to answer for his crime, as would anyone who breaks the law. I agree that some people used his death to just riot. Nothing will ever change if we riot. We can be angry, but we take that anger and we use it in a peaceful matter. Change comes from open dialogue, that express the pain, hurt and suffering that Mr. Floyd's death caused. Words are more powerful than we know. Violence and damaging your community will not change this world. It will only give people the wrong message. I am sorry for the long post. Lamont, I truly enjoy your channels. Towards the end of the video I saw John Tentas grave he was a professional wrestler that went by the name of earthquake on wwf wrestling. He passed away from bladder cancer in 2006. I wonder did Lamont know who this person was ? He didn’t stop to recognize him so probably not. 12:40 minute mark of video.

The problem was that once he was on the ground, he wasn’t given a chance to comply. Chaivin told him to get into the car, and Floyd said he would. But when he told him to get up right at that moment, Floyd said that he couldn’t, which is understandable given that he was still pinned to the ground and couldn’t move.

the officer didn't intentionally kill him most the blame goes on the bystanders. He kept looking because the other officer kept telling the crowd to move back shows it on film, he was put in a position of being there longer for that reason the crowd period was also to blame

Sadly we live in a world where if you have an opinion there will be someone telling you that you are not entitled to it. Or rather they will call you entitled if you speak it. It has become dangerous to keep an open mind. I like that you have a willingness to share honestly and openly in such a world. I do however believe that some people become cops to help their community. Most of my family are police officers, firefighters, search and rescue, emt, forest rangers ect.... My family has been doing this for generations. I know some did it for the excitement, some thought it was expected because mom and dad did it, But truly the majority of us just want to help. My Uncle was killed in the line of duty and sadly his son took his own life shortly after. I miss them both. But I will also say this.... Cops do become jaded. As do any first responder and those that do end up making mistakes that cost lives or cause harm. I will freely admit that this has happened more than two or three times in my family. Keep speaking your truth. It is a brave thing to do in these times.
