Funny you should mention that. Lamont did a video of a St. Louis veteran police captain who responded to a pawn shop robbery during one of the Floyd riots, and ended up getting shot and killed in the line of duty. But since his murderer was also black, it hardly got any media attention.

The funeral was more about the way he passed and by whom. It may have been extra and overdone but it was done to soothe the restless soul of the country who witnessed this horrific death by people who are employed with serving and protecting. He could have been arrested and taken away but it ended otherwise. We can not unsee this event and those of us with sons live with this fear everyday. Our children are not perfect and most come from difficult backgrounds but by no means should anyone have to see another person expire like this and it happens all too often. Make it make sense. Thanks for covering him though. I do not agree that the officer felt bad, he didn't care and I do not believe that he will do all of his time. This country is rooted in hate, it has never gone away. The cycle designed to be in place will remain as it is beneficial to those who govern it.

the officer didn't intentionally kill him most the blame goes on the bystanders. He kept looking because the other officer kept telling the crowd to move back shows it on film, he was put in a position of being there longer for that reason the crowd period was also to blame

Hey LaMont, you mentioned that some people might debate whether George really deserved that big funeral, but always remember that the funeral is for the survivors. So if it helped his family to feel better having that big expensive (donated) casket, and the horse drawn carriage etc. let them have it all. The problem was that once he was on the ground, he wasn’t given a chance to comply. Chaivin told him to get into the car, and Floyd said he would. But when he told him to get up right at that moment, Floyd said that he couldn’t, which is understandable given that he was still pinned to the ground and couldn’t move.
George Floyd didn't deserve to die the way he did. I think the cop went too far, putting pressure on George Floyd's neck. Rest in peace to George Floyd and prayers for his family for comfort and strength. Great story and video of George Floyd. All lives matter.

I didn’t follow George Floyd’s case that closely and didn’t see the video of his death, funeral, the trial, etc. I’ve heard all the stories and rumors. I’m just glad that the officer is behind bars. A citizen should not be killed by those hired to serve and protect unless it’s warranted.
Hold up! I've watched the whole video and the video of him in the ambulance! George Floyd did not resist at all. He did everything the cops asked him to . That man was scared and shaken . Lamont I'm surprised at you. That cop had other homicides he's done and kept getting away with it. His own wife even said he's killed 2 other people while on duty. He knew exactly what he was doing on that man's neck! One of the other cops even said turn him on his side so he can breathe and Chovin said no! He killed that man and meant to do it! The videos of George in the ambulance they were very rough and negligent with his body even laughing about the whole thing! Yes Mr. Floyd deserved that funeral and many more because the fact still remains that blacks are getting killed every day by police and nobody is held accountable . No Lamont. No, I am not siding with anyone. However, how many people you know have not resisted an arrest? Also, the officers had him handcuffs, on the ground. What else a person do. Being handcuffs and hogtied? Nothing. This was an experienced police officer who knew that kneeling on the back of Floyd was not a proper police procedure. No, the death of Floyd was not an accident. Even while the paramedic was working on Floyd. The officer was still kneeling on the man's back. Why? . Why didn't the other officers say or do anything. It was one of the officers at the scene knowing that the procedure was not taught at the academy. I would have pulled the officer off of him. Especially knowing if that man dies. I will lose my job, and go to prison. No, I am not saying what Floyd did was right trying to pass a fake bill. I am talking about that. Once again you have a man handcuffs, hogtie on the ground. He is no longer a threat to the four police officers. And last this officer who was on the subject back had worked many years in that district, and had many complaints from the citizens in that community. That officer past working in that community was what got him indicated. The funeral, etc, the police escort was not paid by the city. Everything was paid for by people donating money. Do your research Lamont.

I believe that the cop was partially responsible for Floyd’s death. The police were cold hearted and didn’t care about the suspect. They were callous in their actions. George was a drug addict, but he didn’t deserve to be chocked to death. The funeral was too much. Chaven deserves all of those years. Keep your video hidden. Why bother if you will not receive compensation.

My brother took his own life the same day George Floyd died. As a result, I was completely numb to the media circus that followed. I'm a compassionate person, or I try, but I just couldn't care. I was swallowed by my own personal tragedy.

Funny you should mention that. Lamont did a video of a St. Louis veteran police captain who responded to a pawn shop robbery during one of the Floyd riots, and ended up getting shot and killed in the line of duty. But since his murderer was also black, it hardly got any media attention.

The funeral was more about the way he passed and by whom. It may have been extra and overdone but it was done to soothe the restless soul of the country who witnessed this horrific death by people who are employed with serving and protecting. He could have been arrested and taken away but it ended otherwise. We can not unsee this event and those of us with sons live with this fear everyday. Our children are not perfect and most come from difficult backgrounds but by no means should anyone have to see another person expire like this and it happens all too often. Make it make sense. Thanks for covering him though. I do not agree that the officer felt bad, he didn't care and I do not believe that he will do all of his time. This country is rooted in hate, it has never gone away. The cycle designed to be in place will remain as it is beneficial to those who govern it.

So if it helped his family to feel better having that big expensive (donated) casket, and the horse drawn carriage etc. let them have it all. The problem was that once he was on the ground, he wasn’t given a chance to comply. Chaivin told him to get into the car, and Floyd said he would. But when he told him to get up right at that moment, Floyd said that he couldn’t, which is understandable given that he was still pinned to the ground and couldn’t move.

Thats an outrage, mr Floyd was in the wrong when he wouldn’t do what the officers asked, now I think how the officer handled it was sickening and Mr Floyd did not deserve to die, but if people would just follow the law and do what the police tell you to do these things wouldn’t happen. Floyd did not deserve to have his funeral turned into a political spectacle and protest with an agenda. People seem to have lost the sense of what a funeral is for; to celebrate the persons' life, and to bring the individual loved ones peace with their loss.

I didn’t follow George Floyd’s case that closely and didn’t see the video of his death, funeral, the trial, etc. I’ve heard all the stories and rumors. I’m just glad that the officer is behind bars. A citizen should not be killed by those hired to serve and protect unless it’s warranted.

Hold up! I've watched the whole video and the video of him in the ambulance! George Floyd did not resist at all. He did everything the cops asked him to . That man was scared and shaken . He knew exactly what he was doing on that man's neck! One of the other cops even said turn him on his side so he can breathe and Chovin said no! He killed that man and meant to do it! No Lamont. No, I am not siding with anyone. However, how many people you know have not resisted an arrest? Also, the officers had him handcuffs, on the ground. What else a person do. Being handcuffs and hogtied? Nothing. This was an experienced police officer who knew that kneeling on the back of Floyd was not a proper police procedure. No, the death of Floyd was not an accident. Even while the paramedic was working on Floyd. The officer was still kneeling on the man's back. Why? . Why didn't the other officers say or do anything. It was one of the officers at the scene knowing that the procedure was not taught at the academy. I would have pulled the officer off of him. Especially knowing if that man dies. I will lose my job, and go to prison. No, I am not saying what Floyd did was right trying to pass a fake bill. I am talking about that. Once again you have a man handcuffs, hogtie on the ground. He is no longer a threat to the four police officers. And last this officer who was on the subject back had worked many years in that district, and had many complaints from the citizens in that community. That officer past working in that community was what got him indicated. The funeral, etc, the police escort was not paid by the city. Everything was paid for by people donating money.
