I'm finding that documentation on the entire line pretty scarce. What's the difference between the Monterey Deluxe and Elite. Countries of origin? I bought one online this week (just arrived a few minutes ago, mid-video!); mine looks just like Daniel's, same burst, black chrome, etc., only with three knobs (one's a push-push harmonic-ON plus "intensity" control, AFAICT) and then only one on/off switch. Does that indicate any specific version you're aware of? (BTW, my serial number is FGN 03060xxx. I'm _guessing_ that's 2003, the 6th month, and #xxx in production on that day. But ya got me? Any thoughts? TIA!)
@@larryh.3173 you got an elite with the sustainer pickup in the neck position. It’s one of the older versions that used the push pull tone knob as the sustainer high freq booster. The intensity knob controls the strength of the effect when engaged. The smaller switch will engage / disengage the sustainer. The deluxe models did not feature the sustainer pickup, usually a set of Duncans instead.

I love the Monterey line. I have 2 deluxe, and 2 elite. Such cool guitars. I wish they were still available.

These seem to be no longer available here in europe. In japan (where I bought this), they were aproxx. 1000 USD. Cheers!
