This video is so on time. I struggle with sizing on all size tshirts because I thought certain sizes were set in stone.🤦🏽♀️ The arm pit tip helped a lot. Thank you so much for sharing.😊
I tell you I can't thank you enough for explaining how to do a chest print. That is the BEST!! explanation of how to place a chest print, so easy to follow. Once again thank you very much, bro!
I mostly agree with his comments on sizing but only to a point. It does save on both cost and time and that is vital to get the job done well. At our shop we used the same size screen or vinyl design on all adult sizes. If we had a big run of shirts for a family reunion for example (with children/toddler shirts), we would make Youth and sometimes a Baby size screen for vinyl and use it as needed. But there is more money and time. Plus you have to weed more vinyl at a different size or make another screen and remember to swap it out as needed. Add more colors, that means more registration. Occasionally we would also make a larger screen or vinyl for 2X/3X designs but that usually depended on the design and how it fit on the shirt and also if the customer wanted a larger print. I think as a rule, use the same screen or vinyl for all shirts. Big Brandoh knows his work and has put in the time and it shows. He has quality work! Follow his rule and it will serve you well. But occasionally there will be the rare unicorn that is the exception to this rule.
Hello thanks again for sharing your wisdom and struggles. Once again this is some real cocci. I have printed so my documents related to where you need to place your design according to the size of the shirt . Imagine my head spinning. What you have presented is so easy to understand and you also provided REAL examples. Once again thank you for keeping it REAL. You are so humble...Much love to you.
Thank you for your knowledge because i was going to get a huge press because i thought i needed to change the size of my designs. Your sharing of knowledge is appreciated!

This video helped me alot..Just starting out doing tees. Yeah city of Watts and Compton my home town Currently reside in Dallas Now...Man your videos are Great...Straight to the point Boom😁 Trying to get my clothing brand together. Thanks for all the info you put out!
Men ima just say you a fucking OG! I’m up 6k followers on my IG been doing embroidery designs now finally getting into heat transfers and appreciate all game for reals. Ppl don’t understand the free game you put them on 🙏🏼 me for one going to use it 💯
Thank you. Just spent 2 hours looking at videos telli g me how to resize all and i discovered my press is to small. Now i don't need to buy a new one. Cheers
I disagree. The bigger sizes should have a bigger print. So it looks proportionate. As a clothing brand owner I don’t like the way small prints look on big shirts. It looks like you cut corners and don’t want to put in the extra work for the bigger customers. So I personally use 1 size screen/design for sizes Small-Large and another bigger screen/design for XL-3XL
if you feel thats the best way to do things, keep going. but if we're talkin proportions, XL and 3X getting a bigger design size would be disproportionate. XL is closer in size to L when measured. So wouldnt your design for 3X be too big on a XL?
@@BigBrandoh these are both good points, I think an important factor with the larger sizes is that it may look like a significant difference flat, but once that person is wearing it, the bigger size folk fill out the t shirt more, so I think the design being the same size for all shirt sizes makes the most sense if compared against each other while actually being worn
Thank you so much for this wonderful explanation... came right on time. I appreciate you. What heat transfer did you have the "This CITY" on ? Is that a normal white or a printable vinyl? Thanks in anticipation
This is exactly the information I needed. I was about to spend a lot of time creating different size designs for small, large and 2xl. I thought it wouldn't look right. How far down would you press a name on back of shirt?
Wuss good brandoh ..luv the videos uce ..ever since I found yo channel finally had a better understanding of this tshirt bizz..get one question tho ..when u make a custom shirt..using like photos of celebrities or sports teams..did u have to patent it..or only if u sell it?..jus wandering if and how u dealt wit day type of situation..thanx uce
I know this is a older video! What are the correct sizes for prints? What should a front design size be? Back design be? Left chest size? Inside neck design? And sleeve design size be?
there are no correct sizes for anything. if i told you 3" for all left chest prints. but what if you left chest design is just a line of text. that would be like 7/8 x 3" text. that wouldnt visually look good. you make the designs to what you think looks best for you. cuz all designs are shaped different. some of my left chest prints are any where from 2" to 6" and everything in between. back prints are from 3" all the way to 20" just depends on the design and what looks best
Hey Brandoh I Appreciate your videos there always so helpful . Thank you for the help. Me my self is trying to start my TShirt brand . Little by little I'm doing it I like the art work thatbu have on ur shirt . With the pictures in the font . Did u do that ur self ? Or do u have a person that does ur work . I'm trying to do that for Riverside. I'm just starting out doing my research. Thank you for the help once again .
great video, I need some help I am going to be making kids hoodies for hockey same last names are 5 letters some are 12 how would l make it so they look nice and not squashed
have a kid wear the hoody, tape off the back wear you want the name to land. measure the tape and create your text to those dimensions. this helps with size of design and placement. put the text too high and the hood on the sweater will cover it. So this way you'll see how the hoody fits on an actual body and have a visual placement of the design ready to go.

OOOKKKKKK Big Brando looking slim and trim. Niicceeee
On vinyl I use 11.5 wide no matter what my design is. Unless it’s supposed to be smaller then I use that size for all the tshirts

I too use different prints for larger sizes but that starts at 3xl anything from a YL - 2X gets the same print
THANK YOU for all the help your throwing in everybody's way.. what's is a good size .. i'm still struggling
Do you use 4 fingers down from the collar on small and medium shirts to?
yes
Refrigerator magnets…thanks for that tip 😀
Dope content taught me a lot. But quick question how do you get your ink to stop sticking to your Mask? When you peel it

What size font do you use is the real question
love your videos!
Wooooop 135th and normandie 🙌
Dope ! Good looking out for the info . Ps name of that font
standard railroad font and then i make tweaks to it in photoshop.
Do you ever do S or M shirts? how do you handle the seams from the arms been in the pressing area?
size small and medium alstyle shirts lays over the bottom platen fine. no issues with the seams.
Dope shirt!!🔥
Great info man
what program you use to resize my design to put on gang sheet?
i use photoshop or illustrator. both work and can do the job
Cool! Awesome video. THX
Love your video. What vinyl are you using that has the design of the city?
How far down to you hang the collar of the heat press?? Front and Back.
i hang the front of the collar right over the edge. for front and back placement.
Great Gems. I often debate with myself about this. I got plus size supporters.
Thanks a lot man!
Thanks
Awesome! Thank you
I just started t-shirt printing and I didn't find clear answer for this but if I use teflon paper should I increase temperature just a little?
yeah you can. its all trial and error. try different temps, duration time and pressure to get the best press possible.
Great info thank you
great video, I need some help I am going to be making kids hoodies for hockey same last names are 5 letters some are 12 how would l make it so they look nice and not squashed

So this way you'll see how the hoody fits on an actual body and have a visual placement of the design ready to go.
What canvas size should i use for a design on the sleeve of a long sleeve T shirt?
take a long sleeve shirt, measure the sleeve and create your canvas to that size.
What vinyl are you using ?
econo. check the links in the description
Where you get the Teflon sheet from and where you get your press??
Loved this video. Have a miserable customer always wants his print big because he wears 3xl. This will help
I was struggling with where to put the left chest. I'm using your strategy! Thank you!
