Thanks Peter, I appreciate it. Those groups and forums always have someone who would have us believe they knew everything from the moment they first picked up a camera.
Liked #234, you got an intriguing formula for your magical rule of third rule. I've always shoot without worrying too much about focal distance but more of composition. You have some beautiful photos, well edited and composed. Nice to use the hazing to create the look of further distance-feel. Softness creates the illusion. I believe most photographers like to have everything crisp tack sharp all around, not sure why. Watched the full video, liked button and comment in appreciation to support the right way, happy to support your channel 😊 Have a wonderful day, take care 😎👍
Thank you for the grate advice, much appreciated. I have been using zone focusing, not hade any problems, but will give your method a try. Thanks again.
Great answer and treated in a really respectful way. Having seen similar questions treated with distaste/ridicule on Facebook groups

I completely agree - it doesn't always need to be sharp front to back. Thanks for the nice comment and for watching.

Hi. Isn't the hyperfocal distance the distance from the camera? In the figure at 3:05 it is indicated to be from the nearest point in focus.
