Dagan is in my view the best ‘guitar presenters/musician host’ if that makes sense. His enthusiastic presentations & obvious love of the guitar is so inspiring & infectious that it can’t not put a smile on your face while watching. Even though RUclips is now a mega transmitter of information, if Dagan had a TV show 20 years ago it would have been a hit. Excellent vibe, excellent presentation, keep doing exactly what your doing. Wish u were in Australia!
I also love that doesn't just play nothing but 70's boomer rock riffs. Nothing wrong with that music of course, but a lot of guitar channels out there act like nothing after about 1986 or so ever happened, when really there's a ton of good guitar music that's come out since.
Dagan and Marty Schwartz are the Bob Rosses of guitar RUclips lol. Just super cool guys who genuinely just love having a guitar in their hands! Followed closely by the guys at Andertons!
My wife saw one at our local GC and of course had to have me try it. She loves the look of it and said buy it. First time that has ever happened! Love this guitar it just has a mesmerizing effect on people. Literally everyone was looking at it while I was checking out. I have never seen a guitar get that much attention.
I preordered my electric blue in late 2019 when first heard of but it took over a year to get it because of how messed up 2020 was with the pandemic. It rocks , I love mine & it even came with a blue hard shell case!
I picked up one of these when they first released couple years ago. Absolutely bonkers. What’s interesting is mine sounds much “darker” in nature for whatever reason than the one Dagan is rocking. It’s not great through phones or whatever but into a tube amp it completely rawks. Really heavy and literally really heavy, it’s a beast lol. Photos and video don’t do it justice, in person when the light hits it looks insane.
Do you have the silver spaceman? If so that is darker because of the pickups. I have both that one and white lightening and the Seymour Duncan in white lightening is much brighter
@@eschatts1 I’ve got the Electric Blue, like in the video. Mine for whatever reason isnt as raunchy but it does Sabbath and AIC really well. Also have the White Lightning Explorer which has the same JB’s and it’s a lot brighter, better at KISS and such. They’re great guitars.
I think Epiphone guitars keep getting better and better they are starting to give a lot of top brands a run for there money they are using better components I own two Epiphone guitars but they are older models but they are modified one is a Silverburst Les Paul Custom with a Ebony fretboard it has Billy Gibons Custom shop Pearly Gate pickups 50s wiring SWITCH CRAFT INPUT JACK and switch I put Grover key stone tuners and a Custom tone Pro bridge and tailpiece & over sized chrome pickup rings and last I had a full setup and I got the frets leveled and polished it sounds better then most USA Les Paul's my other one is a Standard Pro with Seymore Duncan pickups a JB and a 59 they both sound Amazing thanks for the cool video.
Yea I’m really happy with my 20’ Epi LP Classic honey burst. I bought her back when they were $499. I’m a guitar player turned drummer turned guitar player again and I always wanted a Les Paul since the late 80’s. This is something I could afford. Great instrument especially with the coil splitting knobs
I saw him play on this guitar on the tour. When I was home I look on the internet what it was. And dahhmm I couldn't believe it was a Epiphone 😍 so good😍
Got mine my Luthier says its better made than a gibson explorer I took in last year. Changed the blue knobs and mirror pickguard for clear ones from ebay in china it looks much better I love it. That mirror pickguard is foul get rid of it 🙂 Really glad I got this guitar
I don’t know why any guitar companies paint the back of guitars. No one ever looks at the back. When your playing, when it’s on the stand and when it’s hanging out beside you on the couch it’s always front side up. Lol, not that it really matters to me in anyway. Color is my last concern with an instrument or auto. It would be nice to find the guitar I want with the color I’d like for the price I’d pay. We all know that’s too much to ask. Sweet demo my friend!
They’re a similar shape but that’s about it! They feel and sound rather different - both excellent, but different. Definitely worth trying both before you pull the trigger 👍
The '59 is more versatile if u ever get into blues/indie rock things. The JB pickups in the Tommy Thayer have that 80's hair metal midrange punch that's hard to tame down. If that 80's hard rock sound is your bag then Tommy Thayer. The 59 would be easier to sell if you ever want to. The Tommy Thayer is kinda niche.
I have it. Paid for set up @ Charley's Guitar shop in Dallas. Plays like a piece of garbage. Is it the guitar or the set up ? Makes me wanna cry lol.. I actually wonder if mine is fake. Got it at guitar center.
@@jameshughes6049well, they have sold more gold records than any other american artist, plus they are in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. They must be doing something right . 😅 😅😅. In the end, we all have our personal tastes. I love the color, but something about the Chinese made guitars, some feel cheap. I'm hoping to get an ltd ec1000 in purple.

Is the body thinner on that model than on a typical Les Paul Standard type body?
It seems just a little but thinner than my Gibson Les paul Classic but not noticable unless comparing side by side.

I had this guitar, but I sold it. Very pretty, but looked like a cheap guitar. I never felt completely convinced with her.
