My tips, as perhaps one of the more older viewers of this video, who has spent their life learning, is ...learn to enjoy the process, want to learn for learnings sake. 1) Start by learning anything you enjoy or that peaks your interest, don’t worry about whether it gets you a better job, sounds impressive, or if you even finish the topic (you can always come back to it). Doing something you enjoy will help make a habit. 2)Find subjects related to your area of interest and expand into them. For example, if you are a RUclipsr, you might want to learn about lighting, film production or coding. Or perhaps you might want to study mechanical engineering or car maintenance if your interest is NASCAR. 3) In order to make sure you are learning in the best way possible and not getting gaps in your knowledge, try to follow some sort of structure. Either one you have planned out yourself or perhaps a syllabus taken from a college course, found online. This doesn’t mean you have to pay college fees etc (although going to college isn’t the worst idea in the world) but, the point is to just make sure your not going in circles or missing things out. 4)As you are doing this for yourself, don’t worry about grades, or what other people thing and don’t worry that it takes you 6 months to understand something. 5) Enjoy the process, don’t take it too seriously. It’s meant to be fun after all. 6) Finally. Just start, don’t over think. Start now. Just 5 minutes, start.

This was brilliant Thomas! (pun intended lol). Seriously, you guys did a great job and I've left with a good deal to reflect on which is a great feeling. I loved the intention for each shot and overall it was super entertaining. Life long learning is something I've learnt from my dad, who though he's been GP doctor for over 35 years, he is still always learning something new each day. In fact, my dad would always ask me; "What's one thing that you learnt today?" after I might have had a bad day at school and would default to say "absolutely nothing", but then again he would say... "well there must be something...", and eventually I'd realise that I did learn something amazing that day. It was useful hearing about career skills, domain dependence and essential skills. One thing I am challenging myself with is to comment on every video I watch. That way it forces me to reflect a bit more deeply on what I have watched, and also prevents me from wanting to watch countless videos that may not be very useful. I've been a big fan of your videos and podcast for years, but this may be the first time I've commented. Epic video.

I did make it through college and I obtained my degree. Largely by listening to your video's and practicing what you said to perform. Thank you a million times over Thomas Frank. You're an inspiration for millions.
The stock shot at 11:05 was so beautiful
I get flashbacks of when I was welcoming the dawns studying, drinking tons of coffee and listening to jazz.
man here I was thinking your videos and info couldn't get any better cause they were already SOLID thank you for proving me wrong.
Hahaha that intro! 0:58 great work Thomas! ✨
So funny 🤩😂
Necessary!
Your videos are constantly getting better. This one was fun and dynamic. The moving shots and graphics are fun. I love the data you give, but I also just love watching you grow as a creator. Way to set the example.
Always ask yourself "what's my next action?" helps you build momentum on anything
The quality of your videos has gotten so much better over the years, nice job man :)
Wow Thomas, this was an incredibly produced video with a very strong takeaway. Really fantastic!
Its been long since ive watched ur videos, this one is more slower , making it smoother and just more rich
Big up on this upgrade of production quality. 👍🏻
I'm so proud of you! This production quality is amazing! It's been cool seeing your video quality increase over the years! Good job, man!
This video is exactly why I follow you. I have devoted myself to continual learning now that I'm older. I wish I would've realized how important it is to have a learning mindset when I was a kid. Great video! R.
I like how this video had a few shots of Thomas walking whilst talking to the camera. Made it feel like a mini documentary.
Congratulations on your engagement, Thomas! That is such exciting news 👏🏻
In these, “my gf” became “my fiance.”
Congrats Thomas
Who's the lucky guy?
@@notredamelockerroom376 woah, chill bro
@@jaylinharrell1555 its a joke
This is my most favorite video of yours so far..
This whole 13 minutes for me was like a show..
It's like I'm watching a Discovery channel show.
Just amazing.

I really appreciate your increase in your production quality day by day...
Following you since last 4years..
Me in school: you mean the 40 hour rule...

You mean the 10 hour a day rule?

The quality of this video is fantastic. Just a work of art in my humble opinion.
Epic video.
this video is so well done. particularly moving the camera to make room for the graphics. and all of the b-roll was perfectly applicable to illustrate what you were saying. great job!
Are we gonna glance right over the Furby at 6:18 or?
This was SO GOOD! One of your best videos yet! The content and video quality were absolutely amazing - it felt like a mini-documentary!
I love Charles’ cameo, was so surprised to see that xD
Not only is your content top notch but so is the quality of your videos. There’s always some cool, new, unexpected and highly underrated filmmaking trick. You’re awesome!
I honestly can't pay attention to the content with that exponential curve of the quality of your edition, man.
Just can't deal with this.
Bro this was one of the strongest into’s you’ve ever made. So smooth
I don't know if someone mentioned it but I really like the new improvement in your video. The way you walk outside while explaining things. You used to be locked up in the room.
It seems like there's a spirit of openness from you with just the walking scene :D
It’s ok Thomas, we know, you can make your movie now. We know it would be good.
Literally! Do it Thomas!
Thomas the quality of this video is TOP NOTCH! Not only highly informative but such an easy flow of visuals to match! Impressive creativity and design!!!

1:33 "Hey Charles..."
Me: Wait, who's Charles?
OH CHARLES CORNELL
Holy sh*t Thomas!
I didn't watch your channel for over a month but now I'm back needing more productivity content and I can say that the PRODUCTION QUALITY HAS RISEN A LOT. Keep it up!
And as always I'm not your dad. Keep this outro up as well xD
Imagine working on a spreadsheet in 1978..they just didn't experience the gut wrenching frustration of excel crashing on you 😂
Oh, but the hours spent looking for the mistake was excruciating. I’ll take an app crash over the old days any day. Anyone who misses them spent too much time sniffing pink and yellow correction fluid. ;)
@@AlloftheGoodNamesAreTaken hahaha. The old accounting highs...
What about if your ink pot fell and ruined your work sheet? The horror.
Your production quality is truly exceptional!
No one gonna talk about how cool his jump was?
I agree ! It was so cool
I was thinking exactly the same thing
The planning, creation and value of information in this video is INSANE
My brain functions well from 9‐5 and after that it's done 😂😂
Great video! Will definitely try to implement this
For me this one hour would be listening to podcasts, there are many informative podcasts these days and they're so interesting and fun
"cause as always, I'm not your dad"
Thomas' son be like:
*cry*
I like this style of video. Usual sit down videos get boring. This is great.
Like a good AI, Thomas learnt that he should lower his speech speed so that humans could process information more effectively.
This production quality is amazing, by the way. I've been watching for years and its cool to see how much the channel has improved
2:39 you walk perfectly like a human. good job.
you're the best thanks for the tips including that one which we make excuses that we have a lot of job to do and procrastinate using this excuse instead doing the job
"I'm not a robot. I'm a human." Exactly what a robodouche who's plotting world domination would say.
Being your content consumer for a long time now, have seen you growing with respect to your skills quite well. Great job man!! Love your videos!!
The 5 Hour Rule

This is the best video about productivity that I saw in a long time, for both content and realization. Great job Tom! Say hello to Sophia for me!
"I'm not a robot" - Thomas Frank, 2020
This has been part of one of the most beneficial sidetracked RUclips binges I've had.
Thanks for happening to fall into my algorithm, subbed for more scheduled learning time binges.
2:40 SMOTH ;)
The words "Low Value Activities" really stood out to me as useful, THANK YOU! I have decided what learning I will start with and I begin tomorrow. I appreciate your insights and also thank you for the time you take to make these videos.
If you read this, I hope you have a very successful new week!! ❤️
Btw thank you Thomas for inspiring me to create videos about self development and productivity!!
Thank you

I'm loving the BBC style walk while explaining, the quality of your production is really improving, excellent video man.
"Don't worry I'm not a robot."
But you failed to answer if you are a cake. 🤔
He's a beefcake.
😆
I'd certainly eat that cake.
Aside all the thousands of comments this will receive. You so an absolutely amazing job at delivering your message to your audience - and I find your humbleness a very beautiful trait to live up to even with all your knowledge and calm demeanor!
The 5-hour rule requires you to spend one hour each day, 5 days per week, learning something new.
Your videos keep getting better and better. I'm glad I found your channel
