You both speak English very well. When a project is engaging & challenging the energy happens. You both are a testament to positive forward movement; probably why so many people enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing.
Marina, I was born in the Netherlands, and I have lived there all my life, and I can hear very well that you learned Dutch ('Vlaams' actually) in Flanders, but I am really impressed by how well you speak that language, especially considering how few opportunities you have for practicing. If people say you speak Dutch (or Flemish) very well, then that is not out of politeness but because they really mean so! Here's a big compliment to you, and you'd better accept it.
i had a girlfrind for some time in belgium. and i understand flemish pretty well but cant properly speak it. for a foreigner I cant hear a big difference. i understood everything without subtitles.
Lovely video, thank you! I know you have answered many of these questions in your videos but it's nice to hear them all together like this. And I'm impressed with Illia's first glass cut in his whole life, well done! 😁
I think your channel is fantastic. You two work so hard and are so positive and pleasant. It is amazing that you do all this work after your jobs and also speak multiple languages and have a wonderful cat! The house is going to be fantastic! Thank you!
I think your journey is wonderful, and the two of you are very harmonious. Anneke, as with all cats, will choose her home. I think she already has. I have 10 cats, and they all picked me and my family members. It makes for some crazy times, and they have their little fights, but it's good for most of the time. Thank you again for sharing your journey. May God bless you and your whole family. I had a teacher from The Ukraine. She used to paint the most beautiful eggs for Easter. Mrs. Maslak was one of my favorite teachers, I think part of it was she shared her family traditions. I love learning about other cultures.
Great project! As a fellow Belgian I can tell you already that your farm is not regular poor farmer’s house. It is two floors building plus you have a baking house. A real treasure! Keep up the good work !
I SO enjoyed yall show tonight. Hope it did not too cold. We are just beginning to get cooler weather. Annika is such a smart kitty and I like watching her explore! I can answer why y'all are full of energy. YOUTH. KEEP ON KEEPING ON! I WILL CONTINUE WATCHING BE SAFE AND TAKE CARE. YOUR FBF IN USA🇺🇸🙏🌳🌰🍁🍂🦃🤗❤📖☕🦅🕯🦆🌤🌲🐿🐇🕊⛄🐄🐎🐈❄🏔
I studied German for a year in high school and then had a one year NATO tour in Lahr, 40 years ago. I understand how easy it is to lose a language if there is no practice. Living in a bilingual country like Canada, most students learn French. You both speak well, your immersion in the culture will exercise your ability. Europe is so multilingual, and English is a product of all those languages. Illia, if you have a few minutes you might want to look at "My Self Reliance" and "Shawn James". Shawn is building a log house in northern Ontario. The determination you approach your work is the same but Shawn limits his use of modern technology. Incredible.
You make it fun and interesting to watch what you are doing and have gotten done. Please don’t stop, I enjoy the two of you and the inspector cat that is slowly adopting you.
I admire you both so much for keeping your jobs and not relying on subscribers to finance your entire life and aspirations. You have integrity and strength of character that are most admirable. You are such positive role models for your kids. And many other RUclipsrs could take a lesson from all of your hard work and drive to achieve your goals. Kudos my friends❗ 👏 🥰
I wanted to say, you are both doing very well with your English. I understand the people who are asking for Russian or Dutch versions. The project is going very well and I am enjoying the renovation of the farm house. This is a huge project and I am impressed by your efforts. I have renovated a number of houses (more modern buildings) and it is very enjoyable to watch your work. Keep it up, obviously a lot of folks are following allong.
I soooo enjoyed this! I admire your hard work and ingenuity! I also love how your relationship with each other just shines so brightly - your love for one another is very obvious! Thank you for sharing your journey together! God bless! - from Ohio, USA
I absolutely love watching you both you work so very hard on this beautiful house… I love felix the cat he seems to know that you are videoing and loves to be on your video too.. Great job to you both.. ❤️you speak English very well! Wish you both the best… Wanda from USA
Truly loved the question about Anneka being one of the stars of your channel! It always makes me smile when Anneka makes an appearance. Thank you sharing part of your lives with those of us who aren't as adventurous as your family.... it's obvious we all love your story! 💗. From Wisconsin, USA!
Both of you speak English very well. I think the success of your channel is proof of that. Enough people understand and appreciate the experience you are both sharing.
I'm really impressed by your boundless energy working on the farmhouse, especially since you have full time jobs and a family. I wish you the best and stay safe.
Thanks for posting and sharing your life with viewers like me. It was very nice to hear the questions and responses. Wishing you all the best with the project and your lives outside of it too.
Das ist schön,das ihr Euch mal vorstellt.Ja,Anneke ist eben der heimliche Star des Kanals.Sie wird alles überprüfen und abnehmen.(lol)Macht so weiter und bleibt Gesund.
I enjoyed that, from Illia 'escaping prison' to seeing the temporary fix window go in, with the work on it at the start, through glass cutting and window frame put back. You covered a lot of ground in the questions you answered. I look forward to the next. How nice that grandma has come to visit.
Illia, your English really has improved! You are enunciating words more clearly and I don't need the closed captions these days! 😁 Thanks for sharing your lives with us! We look forward every week to another video showing your progress towards your dream!
Wonderful video! I enjoy hearing you speak about what you are doing, & this was a special treat to learn more about each of you and your children. And Anneke! Thanks for all you do to provide us with the videos. I look forward to the next video & learning more about the property as a whole.
Its amazing how much you can get done with a full time job as well. You are both hard working and driven. Love watching your content guys, you seem like a lovely couple.
You guys are amazing and an inspiration. It is a joy for us to have you sharing bits your life and adventure with us. You and Anneke will succeed. I have an ancient ancestor named Anneke Jans! (early 1600's)
This has been very interesting , many of my questions got answered . One thing that puzzles me though is why you have not poured all your time into fixing 1. The Kitchen , 2. The bathrooms , and 3. A couple of bedrooms ? If these could have been done at the start , then you could have lived on site and it would have been so much easier . All of the other Farm buildings could have waited .
I like the window. I just had to do that for my mom. Mine was on the house and I think I'll have to redo it come spring. Maybe the inspector will give you little inspectors. 😉 I like that little half wall between the house and the little shed. Are you keeping both the wall and shed? See you next time.👍👍😊😊
Thank you for sharing your lives with us on RUclips. The Q&A video is very nice. It's very interesting when good people like you let us see your journey on fixing up the farmhouse. I love history and I really like cats so having a cat as a co-star is very interesting to me. Cats can be very smart animals at times. I currently have one that thinks more like a squirrel than a cat. He's way too smart and good at figuring out how to get things he wants.
LOL Awww.... so funny! I also love the cats for their independence. It always seems that they just allow us to live next to them, to renovate their farm etc.
Marina and Illya (sorry if not spelled correctly), you speak English well enough both of you. So, many people past the age of 30 take a longer time than 7 years to learn a foreign language! So proud of you both! Your strength and determination, organization and creative solutions to huge obstacles are awesome. Love your humor, positive interactions and beer "commercials"!😄
Thank you for taking the time to answer questions! Do you have any other old photos of the farm? It's always interesting to see and hear the history of older structures like your farm.
It is very good of Anneke to make you so welcome on what she obviously considers her own territory. Obviously she approves of you and considers you good people. Cats are always right about people.
Everybody you can gets a translator for other languages. Anika could be watching out for the mice. Maybe she is a hunter and since no one lives at your farm yet, maybe there are mice. She's the protector of the house! She is so adorable and so calm. I am so excited for you, after all the work you are doing, for you to finally move in! I am anxious for that day to come. It will be so exciting! All my best from Alberta, Canada.
You guys are fantastic! You always seem so joyful and positive and ready to tackle each job and get finished with it. Good on you both. I applaud you both. Stay well, stay safe and go gently. Hugs from Australia xxxx
Marina, you have a super brain! I love watching you guys because you are positive, hard working and always smiling, enjoying your experience without any bitterness. And I love the cat... You say she is not yours but if we ask her she will probably say she is! She is always around, especially you. I wish you a smooth experience and good weather with this project.
Great job on the window Illia, nice to know that you work on some things however you want to just for the challenge of getting it done and is looking good! I admire your ability to hold your family close, and get the work done that will give you a nice home on a beautiful farm, and will hold many memories that you build together and share a nice place to entertain family and friends. I think Annke is your new family member, because maybe she does not like living with dogs. who knows, maybe they chase her too much, ha ha ha I love watching her as you work. Chief Inspector makes me laugh every time.Have a good week. Much love Annmarie
This is an FYI from watching Illya work on that old window. If you have more to do in future, it's easier and less time consuming to use a 4 inch angle grinder with a thin cutting blade to remove the old super hard glazing putty or a Dremel tool with the correct attachment, especially in the corners.
Thank you very much! I planned to shoot a short one, but failed :-) The next one I will probably fail as well 😂 I always share the timestamps in the description , so that viewers could have an overview.

Ja dat vond ik ook. Ze heeft een mooie zachte G en een vlaams accent.
i had a girlfrind for some time in belgium. and i understand flemish pretty well but cant properly speak it. for a foreigner I cant hear a big difference. i understood everything without subtitles.

Helemaal mee eens, super goed Nederlands (of eigenlijk vlaams idd).

Thanks a lot for answering some questions. Your doing some good things to this property. Just keep plugging away.
You accomplish so much in the time you do spend there.
I love watching the process. Excellent at beautiful finishes.

I rarely have the patience for 30 min. videos but this was really nice and interesting to watch.

wow i really admire people who can speak more than one language Im stuck with english. I dont retain enough memory to learn new languages. You guys are the best, I enjoy your videos.
Me too. I've tried French and Spanish, but my memory has never been good. I have no where to speak French, and I don't know too many Spanish speaking people well enough. It would take total immersion for me to really learn.
Regardless of the language you use, I totally enjoy your videos and your journey.
Thank you for the Q&A!
As always looking forward to the next video! I'm very curious to see other sections around the farm which ones are being removed, how heating and cooling will be, also how the plumbing and electrical will be installed. There's no more asbestos roofing sheets to remove from the remaining structures? I would hope that process is finally done and over with.

Wow, 55 years! Your help or advice would be so cool! I am so happy you enjoy our videos.
This was a very nice q and a! Thank you both.( and Anneke as well).

You two are such a lovely couple, it's a joy to watch your video's. The cat's gorgeous too.
Always enjoy seeing what you are doing. Anneke chose the farm and you. 😻

I love listening to audiobooks while doing chores. It's a nice change from music and podcasts.
Could be a very nice opportunity to practice English and Dutch as well 👍
Thank you the English.
Thanks for taking the time to tell us all about yourselves. The cat rules the show. Get her a tool belt.
Great answer to the energy question, it's your interest, passion.
I think it will be nice for you before you buy newer windows you will enjoy older type windows that people in the past used. Although I think in older days they might have had smaller window panes, I enjoyed the old diamond style panes. They were only 150 by 150 mm but looked nice.
Enjoyed your answers very much.
Thanks for the Q&A. Very interesting! Nice job on the glass cutting, especially for your first time!
