Here in the U.K. there are 5 versions of the EQS 450+ available . Only the basic version has 4.5 degree rear wheel steering as standard, the other four versions have 10 degrees as standard for the life of the car. I am fortunate to have the 10 degree steering. The maneuverability of the vehicle is astonishing when compared to my previous S Class!
All 580's come with 10 degree steering, at least in the USA. The scheme you describe in Germany for a subscription for the 10 option is absolutely ridiculous. I love the 10 steering even living in an are where its not strictly necessary. It makes the car seem a lot smaller than it is. It turns a lot better than my E43. Another thing that not many people have noticed or commented on is how quick the steering is. Lock to lock is around one turn of the wheel. I dont know if its speed variable but in a parking lot the steering "fast" indeed. Idont know if you mentioned it in the video, but Im sure the high speed same side steering is probably limited to only a few degrees. I wonder what the spec is.
Mercedes seems to have removed the option of upgrading the angle of the rear wheel steering. The comment that you can upgrade form the default angle to 10° has been remove from the price list early this year.
Sehe geehrter Herr Lüning, an ihren englischen Präpositionen könnten Sie noch ein wenig feilen. ;) Ansonsten sehr stabiles Englisch und schöner Inhalt. Weiter so! Nachtrag: eine visuelle Darstellung wäre in Zukunft eine schöne Einblendung.
Alright. You could easily improve your English grammar by a lot studying the the prepositions. Some actual footage of the rear wheel movement would have been nice.
I recently saw a RUclips video that claims Mercedes-Benz to become the most luxurious brand in the near future. I don't fully agree with this view, but I acknowledge the direction, Daimler is placing the brand in.

Always a lot of technical details to digest, but luv it.
Appreciate your opinion that the 10 degree rear steering is not necessary... Thanks
Nice hint on the link between technology and brand awareness.

Dear Mr. Lüning, the Mercedes EQE has also a steerable rear axle (optional).

For the Renault Talisman there is also 4-wheel-steering available.
I talked about electric cars with 4 wheel steering. There are a lot more fossil cars out there with it.
Great Car.
F1 since 2022, on 18 inch
Thx. I no longer watch men driving in circles.
