DIY: Macrame Heart Shaped Wall Hanging

- How to make a DIY macrame heart shaped wall hanging! This wall hanging features a 3D heart made with Berry Knots. I love the textured look this one gives, and think the heart design would be perfect to celebrate Valentine's Day. But really, this wall hanging is fun for any occasion or space. Please see below for materials and written instructions:
🧵 ROPE USED:
4mm single strand cotton cord from Ganxxet in the colors natural and lavender.
Wall hanging measurements:
Length: 13 in (33 cm)
Width: 12 in (30.5 cm)
Set-up: Measure and cut 14 natural colored ropes 72 in (183 cm) long. Measure and cut 12 lavender colored ropes 30 in (76 cm) long.
1) Attach all 14 natural colored ropes to your dowel rod with a lark's head knot.
2) Tie one row of 7 square knots.
3) Tie one row of 6 alternating square knots.
4) Starting from the left, tie 2 square knots. Then take one lavender colored rope and tie a berry knot around the next 4 ropes. Tie a square knot with the next 4 ropes. Tie another berry knot around the next 4 ropes. Finish the row by tying 2 more square knots.
5) Starting row 4, from the left tie 1 square knot. Now tie 4 berry knots. Finish the row by tying 1 more square knot.
6) From the left, tie 2 square knots. Now tie 3 berry knots. Finish the row by tying 2 more square knots.
7) From the left, tie 1 square knot. Move down a row and tie 2 tie square knots. Repeat this on the right side.
8) From the left, tie a row of 2 square knots, 2 berry knots, and 2 square knot.
9) From the left, tie a row of 3 square knots, 1 berry knot, and 3 square knots.
10) Tie 3 full rows of square knots. Once finished, you should have 13 rows total in this wall hanging. Trim your ends to the desired length.

Making this for Valentine’s Day it’s adorable I’m wondering when you cut the ends of the berry nuts do they come loose easy or is it a good idea to give it a little bit of hot glue or liquid stitch
I’ve never had a problem with them coming undone, but one thing that I have found helps is tying the cords with a simple double knot behind the berry knot before trimming the ends off. But also, adding a little glue is a good idea too if you are worried 😊
