  • What is the history of Zamora Mexico?
    Zamora, Michoacán - Wikipedia
    The village of Zamora was founded on January 18, 1574, on the orders of Viceroy Martín Enríquez de Almanza, by Spanish settlers from the Spanish city of Zamora. The Spanish were attracted to the area because of fertile valleys in the region that were well suited for agricultural development.

      no guarantees, though. I don't want to be the awkward person that says it's fine to go, and some innocent folks get brutality unalive by thugs or something?

      @@AngelicoCiudad I couldn’t agree with you more. When I’m in Mexico people ask me about visiting the United States with so many random mass shootings at schools and public places there I tell then that chances of that happening to you are low but however “ no guarantees that it won’t “.

      @ReneRincon-gs6ui
      Basically. However, i just say "no quarantines" in very violent cities or sketchy roads in a nation (for usa it's Chicago, LA, Detroit, or Memphis). Many unexpected armed robberies, belongings looting, and get unalive. Always say "no quarantees" to such wild nations or cities so you don't become the awkward guy.

      @renerincon1 11 месяцев назад

      @@AngelicoCiudad While I agree with you , I’m from Calif and in L.A. it depends where you are at. Some areas are dangerous while a lot of areas are as safe as milk. I have many relatives there. The idea of crime in L. A. is overblown . Overall it’s actually pretty safe.
      Kind of reminds me of Mexico. Stay away from the northern border states. I have many relatives in CD.Juárez Chihuahua😵‍💫 . But Merida, Puerto Vallarta , Querétaro are overall very safe.

    Hi Jerry snd Lori!
    Saw Lori at the park. She was with a friend deep in conversation or I would have said hello and introduced myself.
    Was wondering if you do anything special to keep flies off your food when you eat outside.
    We live in San Nicolas De Ibarra and we can’t eat on our patio without the flies taking over.

    Jerry, the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Zamora is 107 meters high, or 353 feet. I was taken aback when you said 1007 feet. Whoa! 😁 For comparison, the Eiffel Tower is 1000 feet high.

    When my husband and I lived in Morelia Michoacán , our Mexican neighbor told us to be careful visiting certain parts of Michoacan and Zamora was one of them. Even though all cities can be dangerous, I wouldn’t personally go out of my way to a city that’s known to be dangerous if I didn’t have to. We love Michoacan but there are certain parts that we won’t go to for safety reasons

    What exactly makes Zamora the most dangerous city, and if it is, why would or should anyone go there?? Unfortunately Mexico is being taken over by the most militarily and financially powerful groups (drug cartels), slowly but surely. And yet Mexico remains such an attraction to Americans. If Americans want to get away from corruption, thrn going to Mexico is like going from the frying pan into the fire!

      610 homicides in 2022, for a per capita rate of 197.
      But, gringos visiting Mexico are 20x safer here, than they are at home in the US. Just don't be competing with the cartels.
