High quality. Excellent work.
I wish I could hear more of your cymbals.
Matt Cox yea I agree! This mix was he house mix so much of the cymbals were heard in the room
Goose The Drummer That makes total sense. I notice you're not using a shield, so there's no reason to have overheads blowing out the FOH mix when they're easily heard live lol.
Matt Cox EXACTLY! You're a smart man 👌🏼😂
Good angle. I like how you dealt with this song. Its very simple and too much of anything can ruin its beauty. Also, i LOVE what the guitarist is doing in the background. I never hear that type (3:45) of playing in worship settings enough (at least when i do its not done well). I can tell this guy was like "oh man, this is my time to noodle"
cheeseUout Thanks a ton! I love what they were doing too!
Hey Goose great video... I'm a friend of phreakbeat... I've subscribed you...
Drums & Gaming
Drums & Gaming Awesome! Much appreciated. Sweet channel!
Thank you very much... >.
Hey Goose! I absolutely love your approach to drumming, really enjoying these videos!
Question, I'm sure you get asked this a lot. But what gear and how do you get yourself videos like these?
Benjamin Stewart Hey Ben! Thanks. I really appreciate that. For this video, the sound guy recorded the house mix and gave me the file on a flash drive after. I set up my OFF brand GoPro - lol - and sync the audio to video after using FinalCutPro software. If the sound guy cannot record the house mix then I will use my audio interface and run my mix into the interface to record my mix while I play and sync the audio and video after and such. Hope this helps!

When you do your light doubles on the snare, instead of opening your fingers like a buzz roll, why don’t you do a true double? Is there a reason for that sonically?
Well, this was 5 years ago. I prefer true doubles more and would play it that way now. I think I should have had the snare a bit higher and played with my hands lower on this and played more true doubles. Good eye!
@@GooseTheDrummer Thanks! I’m playing this song tomorrow and was watching you to learn, great job! There are definitely things I play differently now than years past. Keep up the good work, God bless you.
Tasty use of the mallet also, you don’t mind if I steal that I assume?
@@josephwhite3401 ofcourse not, go for it!
