Road Trip! 🛣🚗 Mandeville + Clarendon! I went to Milk River Hotel & Spa🧖🏾‍♀️

This was probably my first time going to Mandeville, Jamaica. I always heard that Mandeville was a very cool place (temperature-wise), but the heat was just as bad down there. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it was really a typical rural parish.
It is said that Jamaica has some of the best mineral springs in the world. It is also said that the Milk River Bath is the most radioactive in the world.
The road to get to the Milk River Hotel & Spa was ridiculously long and littered with goats and cows. We had to stop/slow down on two occasions because goats were having their way in the middle of the road: but hey, it's their place - we were just visitors.
I would not suggest going down that road late evening because I do not remember seeing any streetlights : not even in the small communities that we passed on the way.
The actual street where the bathhouse is on is a little rough but manageable.
The area was very quiet and peaceful, except for a couple of cows that were grazing in the field.
The receptionist was very pleasant, also the gentleman who was checking tickets. It was 600jmd for 15 minutes in one of the mineral pools. Small towels were also offered at 600jmd each.
Bathrooms are right across from the mineral pool so you can just change then run across to the pool or you are alone, you can choose to change your clothes in the same room where the mineral pool is. It is very private, and you're allowed to close the door behind you.
I'm not sure if the mineral bath actually did anything for me physically, but it was very relaxing. The only thing is that my nose burned for a good couple of minutes after I came out of the pool.
I would definitely go back, but it would have to be a stop on the way: not necessarily a main destination.
