Christmas pressie for Brad, a damn 2way that works and we can chat to him on lol. I'll be bringing my portable 2way to see who we can find around the place yesssss.
As a Coach driver, I'm no expert, but talking to truckies and some fellow coach drivers who also drive trucks...distributed part loads generally are placed over the rear axles of the trailer. The reasoning is the maximum amount of weight you can put over the rear trailer axle, is that it improves the tyre grip under braking. This helps to prevent lock up of the rear trailer axles, which in turn can reduce your braking distance, helps to prevent the trailer passing the cab...lol. You can increase the trailer brake bias to help stopping in a straight line. But with modern trucks having ABS it may not be as important, but it would still help with shortening your braking distance. If I was driving semis, that it what I would do.
Ah okay thanks for that. I do put pallets at the rear when I return home more so because of the yard and access to unload but if I’m dropping off along the way home I try and get the pallets to the front. Last week I kept getting wheel spin up Jugiong hill in the wet because there was no weight over the drives. That seems to be a recurring issue, I’ve never had the trailer locked up. And I don’t think you can change the trailer bias in this Volvo, it’s all or nothing. But if someone knows what button does that I’m happy to know. Thanks for watching mate, appreciate it
greetings from norway. i didn't know aus had volvos. yours looks preety cool simple interior. our eastern european drivers always have curtains dangling and flags in windows sometimes u cant see the drivers face beacause of all the curtains
@@limitededition3295 hello thank you for hitting play. There are curtains but they are tucked away because we never use them. I’d imagine if they are pulled out each day they wouldn’t be packed away all the time so would flap about in the wind. Dare I say it there would almost be as many Volvos on the hwy here as kenworths from just what I see. And I’m very surprised to see next to no body customising them. There are a couple of exceptions, I see a couple of Indian drivers adding a second exhaust and a lot of extra chrome, but not many
@ I heard you mate. I was carrying a hand held for a week and a bit but still don’t have much range. It’s so annoying people call me up about an issue ahead and think I’m annoying them or I have it turned off.
