    I've added this to my watch list and will comment more once watched! I took a 22' KTM 890 Adventure and aggressively modified it for off-road performance then considered sharing my creation here as well. Excited to see what you've come up with!

    What a gorgeous bike! I have the 22 890R but have done most of the upgrades you have here. I also changed my wheel set from the stock version. I run the Motoz Tractionators and I’m able to do 70-75mph on the pavement with comfort! I also did the Rekluse clutch. I ride here in SoCal/Baja so there is a lot of technical rocks and sand. I love the Rekluse! The only downside to me is the cost. Some of the “flameouts” or stalls you had in Moab probably would have been a non issue with the Rekluse. It’s very helpful in technical terrain for me! I’m much older than you and need all the help I can get!! Haha! Thanks for posting, I’m really enjoying your content!

    Cool bike! I have recently purchased a new '24 890 Rally as well. I have yet to set it up and will likely steal many things from my 790r. I am disappointed that '24 Rally's don't come with the skinnier rims, or carbon fiber skid plate like they did before. Sure, the '24 rims say "Dirt Star" on them but they are the same width as the non-Rally version. I will take the Dubiya wheel sets from the 790 and put them on the Rally. Running dirt tires provides next level confidence on these bikes! I run a GL tank bag on my 790r and am planning to put it on the 890. It is a very convenient place to carry things as it is easy to get to them. I don't, however, like the amount of dirt that gets around the OEM gas cap. Though it may be a little bit small on capacity, I will look at the bar bag you are using. Be careful with the Rottweiler intake. I have (2) riding buddies that dusted their engines with that intake. There is a large thread on ADVrider with others who had same issue. I've heard that they have a new air filter, and have declared the original filter to be "street only". I left mine in the box, and am still running a Guglitech filter with the original PowerPlate pre-filter (on my '20 790r).
    I'm not sure why you referenced the headlight removal video. From the info that I've gathered, one doesn't have to get into the headlight for auxiliary power anymore. The new 890 has it (both keyed and not keyed) under the right side cover.
    You had some suspension tuner stickers on your forks, yet didn't mention anything about suspension in the video. Did you have the suspension tuned for you?
    I hope that you enjoyed your time at the event in Moab.

      So the '24 Rally's should've been a wee bit smaller, like 4" in the back and 2.15" up front which does help but it's definitely not a 2.5" in the rear!! It also should've come with the carbon skid plate guards, make sure your dealer gets you those!! A lot of us in the USA didn't get them upon delivery but the dealer can work with KTM and remedy that.
      The GNAT bar bag from Mosko is 💯
      Make sure your friends have updated to the 3 stage filters from Rotty, supposed to have fixed the issues!!
      Yes, I referenced it more for running the power to the GPS ... you can get to the power under the fairing but the cord has nowhere to go so to keep it clean most of us are running it up through the headlight cavity to hide the cord...
      The dealer put those stickers under wrap showing where I bought the bike and I haven't taken them off yet 😆 .... haven't done anything to it besides stock yet, it's been flawless for me!!
      Moab was AMAZING, wound up riding this bike so much more than I thought!! Was a beast, I wish I lived closer to there!!!!
      Thanks for watching 👊🏻

    Beautiful setup 💪🏻👏🏻👏🏻, I did similar things on my rally I got couple of months ago , just about finished farkling with it.
    I m really tall 6’7’’ so worked on opening up the cockpit with some dropped 2 inch low and 1 inch back peg and high rise flexx bar on top of vanasche/scotts setup. I threw the cyclops explorer light bar in there while wiring for zumo and heated grips because I agree with you, it is a pain to take everything off so figured do it at one shot.
    I expected the cyclops to be bright but its even better than expected 😮.
    Definitely go for it, either model looks great. Seat concepts tall seat / comfort seat for me to connect some highway miles between trails.
    Do you have any issues with lithium batteries ? I was about to get a antigravity for it but my local ktm guys kinda told me that ktm corporate will use that big time to void the warranty in case any electronic gremlins pop up. So kinda undecided there, be nice to shave off that weight though.
    Got an orange mosko pannier setup on order for May, got the desert one but sent back when I saw the orange come out, figured wth I can wait another month.
    I like panniers cause those mounts will for sure see some sliding action at some point so protect the rest of the bike. 🤷🏻‍♂️
    Final question for you, db killer removal on this akro slip on, have any info or link how to get that done? It’s really muted so since cat delete not unfortunately an option for warranty issue this seems as the only way to go.
    Thanks! Safe riding and enjoy that beauty!

      This comment made me so happy!! Incredible, thank you for writing it!! SO glad to hear you are loving it and thank you for the push on the cyclops … I need to get it done!! JT Young really helped me and actually a lot of guys have said the lithium batteries have removed a lot of the gremlins for them so I decided to give it a show!!If I see anything wonky coming up I’ll get back to you …. Great work on the orange/black mosko gear! Will be PERFECT on the rally!!!! You need to join the ‘24 Rally Owners group on facebook!! We’ve had a few guys say how to remove the DB killer as well as a few others on RUclips … it fought me HARD and I wound up having to have the guy who does a lot of work on my bikes do the final blow to remove it … ridiculous the amount of work it took!! Hope to see you in the FB group!!

    What a beauty. I have the 2023. Did you drill the Akra and removed the db killer? Also no decat? I suggest the arrow one perfect fit and more bottom end power. Instant torque. The XT+ are amazing you gonna love them. You convinced me on the scotts & vanasche fuel cap. Subscribed ✌

      Thanks so much for watching and commenting!! That Akra DB Killer was the bain of my existence hahaha … took a lot of work but it finally got removed and is SO much better!! I wanted to de-cat straight away but new in 2024 was a 3rd O2 Sensor in the cat so we don’t have any work around yet!! I want to so bad but waiting on Rotty or Arrow to come up with a fix that doesn’t throw codes, they are on it fortunately!!
      XT+ so far have been amazing off road but terrible on road 🫠 … terrible headshake at 70+ MPH … continuing to diagnose and see how it can get better. Been balanced at a few shops and bike was fine till that front went on!!
      Good for you on the Scotts & Fuel Filler!! You wont’ regret either. Once you’ve had a proper steering damper and cockpit opened a little more you will love the confidence that comes in sand or making sure nothing takes ahold of your steering!! Also, no gas tank hissing or getting sprayed with gas when you open the cap is a win hahaha!!
      Thanks again and ride on!!

      @mototrailz 7 месяцев назад

      @@MaxBetMotors thanks for your reply. I can’r believe they put a 3rd sensor on the cat 😱. My god 🤦‍♂️
      I rode 5000km in Morocco with the xt+ and no head shake. Just make sure the big steering nut is tighten a little more tuan recommended like we do on the exc. For reference i have a normal xt+ in the front and the dakar in the back and during this trip many times i could do cruise control no hands at 120km/h without any doubt so something is wrong there. Check the steering nut & the weight on your wheel (i always install tires myself). Hope you can fix it. But that front gave me so much more confidence in the mud & sand like no other and still being tubeless. Best front so far for me for adv bike & tubeless.
      I really hope the gas cap will resolve the hissing and also the fact that my friend was sprayed with gas like crazy during our Morocco trip.
      Ride safe buddy ✌️

      @@mototrailz ahhhhhh, that's so helpful!! I will do that ... done the balance with weights twice on 2 different machines and have been good so I bet I need to check the steering nut!! Love the review, much appreciated!! On the gas cap it bypasses the entire canister so you will have ZERO hissing or gas spraying you 😜

    How are the Mitas XT's on the road. I ordered the same set you have for my bike. I've heard mixed things about them on the road.

    • @MaxBetMotors
      @MaxBetMotors  Месяц назад +1

      Hey Brian!! I will give you my real intel on these that I have ... I personally hated them!! The front I took off after probably 800 - 1k miles as the head wobble was nuts and it did not feel planted at all. I went back to a green stripe E-13 I believe and it's been flawless. The rear was 'fine' but needs replaced after probably 2,800 or so miles which was way less than I was hoping for. I'm not easy at all on rear tires but would've thought 4k easily do-able. I'm replacing back with a E-12 Green Stripe again. I think if you need a good on road tire on the rear I'd do a Rall-Z and the front I would do something with a softer carcass like the E-13 for lower noise, the fronts just always seem to last so long. I wish I had better news as I love Mitas but I think this tire needs some work.

      @@MaxBetMotors Oh man, that sucks. I have the Rallyz on my Honda and perform great on road and off road. It sounds like I may need to return the Mitas. I can’t the green stripe available in the US.

    Great video, I pretty much have almost the exact same build on my ‘23 890 R - couldn’t agree more on Vanasche quality. @@Advlfe Correct!! I bought the 4 pack from Amazon and used 2 for each bag … the nice thing with the Aux Pox is that the base is what straps to the bike and the waterproof ‘bag’ is removable without having to undo the straps which is way handy for more items used day to day rather than like tools and such!!
