Yes modeling. Right there with you.
I’ve been really convicted about my phone and driving. I’ve quit “hitting birds”. No seriously. My son, he’s in charge of my phone in the car if I need to check something. Like Marco Polo, or if we’re doing an audio book or honestly the Map!

So good Rian! The heart check is definitely something that has to be constantly reminded about here.

Yes! Screens have benefits, but they need to be kept in their proper place. I love that you discussed actually talking about the realistic effects of screens and talking about how what we spend our time on matters.

great way to keep track! Having things to do with the kids is so important many times kids flock to devices because of boredom.

Yes, I tell my students we will not use the computers for the first hour in class. I have other activities that do not require the screen. You are right to guard our hearts from too much screen time even as adults.

I love the heart check! We so struggle with screens. I don't know how much of it is a heart issue or is a modeling issue🤔 because to be honest he does okay when I take it away, I have to be honest and say it's a modeling fail here😔

It's so so hard to set a good example here! But it's a great reminder to do better ourselves!

Yes this a great video. We usually take a break for 3 to 7 days depending on how bad the TV issue becomes with my 5 year old. I've been trying to be more consistent with limiting it since he's an only child and his dependence on me is high considering he doesn't really have many outlets and we live in an apartment. Our area isn't doing any activities really for kids. Praying for the Lord to continue guiding us better in this area....you are so right that we need to live out what we are teaching our kids. This is so important. I'm always trying to be aware of that in myself.

Yes, those breaks are necessary. And helping them find better things to spend time on can be a chore, especially right now!

Same we r Always on the go but kids still do mention if they can watch mommas phone we treat it more like a reward thing it seems to work.

Yes, treating it like a privilege instead of a right is so important!

currently no screens before school, during meals, 1 hour before bed time. tablet time follows the same rules and gets a 30 minute limit.

  • @RussellsLovingLife

We have a 30 minute screen time per day.
