Poland in my humble opinion is one of the best countries in Europe. And the fact that it's constantly evolving, it wont be long before it catches up with the better known destinations in the region.

@@Robertino12 I also think that Poland is located in Central Europe, but people from Western Europe as well as people from the USA, etc. think that Poland is an eastern country, so I will not cause them any problems. It always makes me laugh when people say that Europe has no center :D when America has it, Africa has it, Asia has it but Europe doesn't have it, their logic is strange but oh well

About the dragon (not sure who told you this, but I'm from Krakow and this is what I've been told my whole life ;)) - it was a shoemaker called Dratewka (diminuitive of "dratwa" which means rope/shoelace or something of the sort), not a shepherd, and the dragon got really thirsty after that sulfur-rich sheep and it started drinking from the Vistula river, unable to quench it's thirst, to the point where it exploded from all the ingested water. Minor detail, but I think it makes it even more ridiculous. Anyway, great video. All the best:).

For a moment in your video you can see the Wawel Cathedral. Do you know that on 17 January 1734, during the coronation of August III as king of Poland, the first two movements of Johann Sebastian Bach's Mass in B minor were performed under the baton of Grzegorz Gerwazy Gorczycki? /*/
/*/ From 1736, Bach held the title of court composer to the King of Poland and Elector of Saxony. Some claim that another work by Bach was performed during the coronation. However, it is difficult to imagine that Lutheran sacred music could be performed at a Catholic ceremony, during the coronation of a Catholic king in Catholic Poland.

I will tell you a story about the bugle call in Krakow, which is interrupted in the middle and played every hour. Considered a legend or maybe not quite. Two friends who knew each other from college, when World War II broke out, fate threw one to the Polish army in the west and the other to the Polish army formed in Russia and later this army under the command of general Anders got to the west of Europe and the allies went through Kazakhstan, Iraq to Italy the one who came from Kazakhstan told the other the story that happened to him. Wasko had its own military band and the local authorities of the city in Kazakhstan turned to the Poles with a request that the military band would play for their inhabitants and the army would play to the joy of the inhabitants. At one point, the trumpeter played the bugle call from St. Mary's tower, the one from Krakow, and suddenly, as before, people were clapping and rejoicing, suddenly after hearing the bugle call, everyone fell silent and suddenly everyone dispersed in silence. The author tried to find out what happened, but no one wanted to say, only one woman explained to him what had happened. Their legend said that in the old days, when the Mongols plundered Europe during the siege of the city, someone killed a trumpeter in their opinion calling for prayer, which imposed misfortune on the nation and only the lifting of the curse will take place when in their country the trumpeter from this country will play again which has come true, so is it just a legend?

Polish beer industry and market are booming nowadays and basically there are maaaany, like hundreds of craft breweries. Although we're known for vodka and mass production beer like Tyskie, Żywiec, Okocim, Książęce etc., Polish craft beer is way better than those. It comes with a price ofc. When you wanna get wasted, you buy a six-/eight-pack of Tyskie but when you prefer tasting than getting wasted, you definitely buy some pretty dope IPA, APA or wheat beer, or other types. FYI we also invented the Grodziskie style of beer - just saying because maybe you'd like to try it. Poland is actually the 8th biggest producer of beer in the world. When it comes to the production per person in top 10 countries, only Germany is higher than us in the world ladder. Personally, as a beer lover, I like Polish, German and Czech beer the most, the rest is no match for them.

Man, stop it, you're killing me :D There are many great craft beers in Poland, though most of them are still produced by rather small breweries. If you wanna good and tasty - go for that. No offense, but big-brand lagers are just plain boring because of how staple they became (though it seems you had weizen, so you're safe ;) ). In Kraków there is a Bropub near Wawel, that has quite wide variety of local craft beers - I highly recommend visiting them!

Quand j'avais 17 ans, mon père m'a emmené à Cracovie.

W innych miastach, miasteczkach wygląda to zupełnie inaczej. Tam bardzo się dba, upiększa, odnawia domy.
