I admit, I completely misinterpreted your post and probably have read to much feminist nonsense like men are bad, men should take over the duties of bearing children, embrace abortion and on and on. @@jackietherrien For me she the female "James Last". And - she grew up in better circumstances. Not in the pre war time. James Last played almost all genres as she does. He composed, he arranged and he had a great band for 50 years. You will find tons of music from him on RUclips.
And maybe, Emily will also still be on stage once she is in her 80s....

Tears to my eyes, as well, but for youth and talent, not so much gender. I've long proved that women are equal to, or better across many skill sets.

To capture so many moods and evolve the styles of some of the greats in film score composition at the age you are - absolutely amazing! Sounds like clear influences from Hans Zimmer, Thomas Newman, James Horner and John Williams all rolled into one with seamless transitions. And yes, it's to my shame that all the names that spring to mind are male... you really are changing the game! I'm in love with this piece 💗
NICE! Every bit as good as Williams, Newman and Zimmer.. Heard a bit of all three in there :)
To all below that commented that there was "no real melody": This was a film score suite. Wikipedia: "A score is original music written specifically to accompany a film. The score comprises a number of orchestral, instrumental, or choral pieces called cues, which are timed to begin and end at specific points during the film in order to enhance the dramatic narrative and the emotional impact of the scene in question." Films sometimes also include songs but this was a score not a song. Also it was a suite, a demo session, what I understood compiled by Emily as a showcase to Warner (and others) what she could write for different situations on the screen.
I mean, what can I say. She's simply amazing. Your mind has to work on a whole other level that many of us will never live to fully comprehend. I'm in awe.
There's a movie on Netflix called "Dog Gone". I'm pushing through it (waaay too sugary for my taste) just to enjoy Emily's score. That's her first official movie score!! Spotify has the whole soundtrack too. But I want to see how she matches the music with the movie, the same way she did in this demo. She has a Grammy now too! Such a talent
It’s like a portfolio, or a reel, showing different moods of music she can write to score a film. It’s not a stand alone composition.
Made me feel emotional and nostalgic at the same time. To be able to include so many moods into one piece without it feeling sloppy is a huge feat, especially at her age! One day we'll be watching films with her scores in them, can't wait.

...my favorite musican, componist, pianist, conductor...Emily is music...saw her in Stuttgart on a small stage during jazz open 2015...love watching the way she ll go...and the amazing music which comes out of her beautiful heart...to all of us...
We had the Hollywood sound from Wolfgang Korngold and Miklos Rosza passend on to Alfred Newman then to John Williams and then to Hans Zimmer.. But I see the scepter has been given to such an enormously talented girl. Fantastic music. Fantastic talent. Fantastic Score. All the best for you.

In 2008, Emily won an ASCAP Foundation Morton Gould Young Composer Award for her piece "Northern Lights", the youngest composer ever to win the award.
In 2015, she won an ASCAP Foundation Morton Gould Young Composer Award for her orchestral piece "Les Voyages".
In 2016, she won an ASCAP Foundation Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composers Award for her piece "Old Office".
In 2017, she won an ASCAP Foundation Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composers Award, for her piece "Je ne sais pas".

Emily won more than 10 Awards in her life. At age 6 she won the first 3 Awards. So she won a EMMY Award for het music she composerd for a TV-Serie. And ar age 16 she won Illinois highest Award as person and musician. A special about het won also a EMMY Award. The special was about Emily when she was age 6 and age 11

[Heather Beffort] Ridiculous!! Do you actually think there are a few thousand undiscovered musical geniuses laying around like Emily? Lets see, about 3 1/2 billion women in the world and I know of only 2 who would qualify as musical prodigies, Emily and Alma. That would be about 99.99999999% of the women in the world wouldn't cut the mustard. Actually kind of amazing if you stop and think about it.
