Great content per usual. I ordered my ul-i kit back in June and still haven't recieved it yet. Dye Customer service personnel have been great thus far.
Even though I'm not planning on picking up any inserts for my UL-i yet. I ordered one directly through Arc to match my Trix and I also sent a Freak XL even though Ill still have the UL-s as well figured options were good especially on a full custom marker like a Trix. Glad the reviews are positive as a feel that the Ul-i might be part of the reason I still have not received mine yet, at least i haven't been able to play much this summer.
Just a heads up the carbon inserts are cheaper and just as good , they have the same tolerances in 3 separate parts of the inserts down to .001 . Believe they are $15 cheaper per insert.
@@BAGofTALENTgood looking out I will definitely keep that in mind around Xmas time for myself. I'm sure the UL-s with 2 inserts that it comes with will be plenty good paint at my field usually bored between .682 and .688 in my stainless freak XL kits
Personally if I could still find nice 1 piece barrels in the sizes I need, id go with that. You can make the control bore as long as you want and the taper and seal will always be perfect. It will also hold up to the massive dumps I sent down feild. I feel like to some degree 3 piece barrels are a money grab. It does have the redeeming quality that use can use the same inserts with different backs, but when I searched they only make AC threaded ones anyways.
That barrel kit is sick ! One question do you think the Boom stick is a better system than this ? Oh and that DSR Icon wow !!!!!! Very nice ! DYE should send you one !
Honestly i think it depends in if you want inserts vs entire barrel backs and a carbon fibre tip. Inserts are usually cheaper to get different bore sizes but accuracy is mostly derived from paint so good paint and a fairly well matched bore size will be accurate.
@adamfeldberg9521 oh I know it's all good I was just asking my bro that's all. I have plenty of barrel kits lol the HK Army LAZR, GOG Freak, GOG Freak XL lol my one buddy swears by the Boom Stick he loves that system. If I had the money I'd buy that ICON DSR for Greg the blue and black one is sexy lol
Might be a stupid question . But is this worth getting if I'm running a czr? Would there be a decent increase with accuracy? Or is it more so affecting the weight and sound signature?

Awesome review! Super cool of dye to send out the new ul-i to you, im interested in getting one myself. Ive had great experiences with dye.
Yea it was real nice for them to do that!
How did you find the UL-I compared to other insert kits, comparable accuracy/efficiency?
Great video!

That’d come down to preference I’d say. And a new gun would be very kind lol don’t think it’ll happen though!
@howtoplaypaintball lol yes I agree oh the black and blue is sweet lol I was just asking it looks like the barrel hits nicely

@@two-bit463 ah ok. That makes sense. Thought you were a newer player.

Paint to bore match will increase your accuracy. The porting changes the sound signature. Hopefully that helps!
@@howtoplaypaintball much appreciated 👍 love the videos man. Got me back into playing again after 15 years!
@@nickbyron6269 thanks for the love!
Is this the factory blue color or is it custom? Looks like it would match my gun real nice hoping its factory
Factory!
@@howtoplaypaintball thanks
How is it shoot on wet/ball break condition?
Haven’t had testing with barrel breaks but I have a swab for that. Are you asking how well it clears a broken shot?
Worth it for a cs3?
All preference! I’d see if you can see how it shoots for you if you can.
if you have a cs3 just roll with PEs 3 piece s63 barrel and insert kit
Freak kits are not like that just stick it in and pull out when needed
The advantage to the PWR is the way the insert is milled compared to the Freak just being a tube.
Lol so many cuts lol
Hey now, one shots are tough! 😛
@howtoplaypaintball you're awesome man. Been watching a while and have used it to help the team. I appreciate you and was just giving you a hard time.
