Great video! Another friend posted (on fb) his car pulling out of his crowded garage. That would be awesome for my wife; she hates backing out and it takes her between 45 minutes and 3 hours to do it while only barely hitting the doorjamb 😉
@@FSDRoboRides The angle requires the wheel to stay turned to the right until the car straightens out and then turned straight to continue through the door. Dumb summon immediately straightens the wheel. It just dawned on me I don't think I tried ASS from the driver's seat. I might have been able to send it to the driveway or something. But that would confuse her anyway. And she gets flabbergasted easy. We're not spring chickens anymore 😉 She can set a destination and push go tho, so I'll check it out.
Awesome video! Just subscribed! If you’re filming with GoPro, you should reduce your Max ISO setting to around 800, it would help your video quality a lot in bright sunlight. It will stop some of the overexposure from the sun. Looking forward to more vids and best of luck getting to 1000!
Thanks for the tip! I’m filming with an old iPhone 13-do you think it’s overexposed? It looks fine on my monitor, but maybe it’s tricking me. Any suggestions on settings I should adjust? I’ve got more videos on the way, and I’m really hoping we hit 1,000 subscribers soon so I can finally take that NYC drive. I have a feeling this version of FSD is going to crush it there!
I watched a few of your Smart Summon videos, and they’re awesome! I haven’t had any luck with mine, though. Every time I try to use it, the car gets stuck, and I end up doing the walk of shame to retrieve it. I’ve even tested it in the rain several times, but it won’t even start moving. I just get a message saying it stopped to avoid collisions-even in an empty parking lot. Go figure!
@@FSDRoboRides Overall the video quality looks pretty good to me, in fact, it has me considering trying my iPhone lol. It’s not horribly overexposed by any means, but I do think it would make a big difference. When I open the camera app on my iPhone, there is a ^ symbol at the top. I click that and there there is a +/- button near the bottom right. You can lower exposure there. I’d probably go down a few clicks on that scale and test it out. Also, I’m surprised about the summon issues you have! It works so well for me. The only issues I’ve ever had were false blocked camera, false public road, and lost connection aborts. Been maybe 10 out of 100s of uses, and it was all during 12.5.4 branch. The walk of shame is absolutely real.
I appreciate the setting suggestions I check them out. As for summon I have tried it like 10 times and 8 of them it failed in some strange way. Like it would pull out to the left away form me and run out of range or there would be a pedestrian sign in the cross walk and it just gets stuck with bunch a cars behind it lol or I summing the car with my wife inside and she opens the door to jump out because she thought the car was rolling away. You know stuff like that lol. I was so mad I was lot recording during the last one lol.😂
FSD v13.2.1 is certainly a lot smoother. City road driving is definitely way better. My problem with it is actually on highway. It is a little "too confident". The gap v13 maintains with the other cars is a lot smaller than on v12. Just today, this "overconfidence" lead the FSD slamming the breaks and "almost" had to execute an evasive maneuver when the car behind me also had to slam on its brakes. Not saying that this wouldn't have happened on v12, but the gap in 12 would've made the stopping smoother and allow the driver behind me a bit more time to slow down.
Thanks for sharing that important safety info’s I have not done rides on the high speed highways but I’ll definitely be ready for that scenario now. What driving profile are you on. I’m asking because I believe that selection helps control the following distance on highways. So if you’re in hurry mode you will be a lot closer to cars in front of you then in standard or chill.
So far car is not parking itself in destination parking lots. Once in awhile it will but for the most part does not park itself. But it does back up out of parking spots and start your route. That is freaking awesome. One issue I'm noticing is if I'm near a curb or anything that the car senses to be close, I'm having to hit the accelerator a little bit to get it going. Hopefully they can get that situated. Overall it is an awesome update and a huge difference from version 12. Oh and lastly and surely not least the phantom windshield wiper. Seems to be worse in version 13. Driving in nuts lol
Wow, thanks so much for sharing your experience with the Tesla Version 13 update! It's exciting to hear that the car can back out of parking spots and start your route - that's definitely a game-changer. Hopefully, Tesla will iron out those kinks soon, including the curb sensitivity issue and the quirky phantom windshield wipers. Thanks again for watching and sharing your insights; your feedback is super valuable! Keep driving safe, and here's to even better updates in the future!
After 1000's of engineering man hours, FSD still cannot get windshield wipers working properly. Inexcusable. And people are supposed to trust FSD with their lives, in the near future?
Is your model 3 older? I heard the new ones have MUCH more compliant suspension... I've always disliked uber drives from model 3 and Ys because the suspension is so crashy. My favorite uber drivers are in rav4s.
@@ryshask this video was shot in dual motor model Y. I drove a jeep grand cherkee before this car so the suspension feels fine to me. It is loud on video. But once I get over 1000 subs and get some compensation for my videos I’ll upgrade the mic to improve that experience for you guys.
@@SkullEZClap you are 100% correct. Good catch, I did not even notice that it was moving that fast. The slowdown definitely felt like a complete stop but it clearly was not.
Hahaha, yeah, I’ve been waiting 12 years for this road to get fixed, my friend. Maybe I should submit my video as evidence to the township to show just how awful it is- and that was the good part! I actually took a left to cut through the complex and avoid the real disaster. That section will be in a future video I’m editing now, so definitely subscribe to check it out!
