4:15 he IS the music video director! And editor, vocalist, instrumentalist, writer and I'm sure he has a large say in production as well as the tracks are produced by DPR REM and DPR CREAM who are part of the label/collective. Christian (Ian) is one of those artist's artists... his mind is so creative and he really dedicates his full self and energy to creating a whole world which his music exists within. Every single song within his discography is a gem, honestly. And every video a masterpiece. Even his stages for his tours and live shows are incredibly artistic.
If you really are interested in learning more about his music and him, I would suggest watching his interview with Zach Sang. He talks about his start in the Kpop industry and how that led him to where he is now, and also shared a lot about the way in which he creates and how living with Bipolar Disorder is intertwined with his creative process.
small correction: DPR REM never produced any of DPR IAN's music, he clarified this recently during one of his ig livestreams. he said some of his songs have DPR REM in the credits and he doesn't know why. he already told them to correct it because REM never produced any of his music. the only people who have a hand in DPR IAN's music production is DPR IAN himself and DPR CREAM sometimes. this is kind of a "recent" controversy but DPR REM left DPR, apparently he scammed the crew and stole money from them (DPR LIVE seemed to be the most affected by it, he talked about it on his most recent album).

I'm hoping that everything settles and that with time apologies are made, money that was due is given and that Dabin and Christian are able to continue making their art without losing friends and the mistrust that has obviously come about from having to deal with all this

Everything about Ian is god tier tbh. He has an exceptionally creative mind and is so damn skilled in different creative fields as well. His whole mito project is insane and this album and the first are both worth being checked out.

ian's mind is just such a fascinating place. "mito" is a character he created that represents his lows (he has type 1 bipolar disorder) and the version of him in the video that appears in that black jacket is his visual depiction of mito. he's basically created this whole world with these characters that he's created (ian, mito, mr insanity & miss understood). he's also such an inspiration for people dealing with mental health issues since he's so open about his condition, for example in his interview with zach sang or on his livestreams.
as other people have said, he's the director and editor of both his own music videos and others' music videos. he directs for other dpr artists' videos as well as those outside of dpr, for example he directed hollup by bobby of ikon. he's really so passionate and talented when it comes to film making.
he's also a writer and producer for all of his music and trust me when i say his entire discography is worth every minute of time listening to it.
i always get so excited when i see new people getting into this man's work because he honestly deserves so much praise for what he does and when you compare the ART he produces to the amount of fans he has he's definitely severely underrated because he deserves to be one of the biggest artists in the industry with the amount of work that he puts in and the way he consistently delivers quality.

Ian is such an amazing artist. And the way he translates his feelings and his bipolar disorder is so fascinating. He talks about his creative process on a Zach Sang interview, it's kinda long but it's so interesting, definitely worth it.
This man is geeting huge as you can see he completed an entire World Tour, got invited to perform a the Coachella festival…

First of all I really missed Curtis here! Welcome back ❤ I just recently got into DPR Ian and he really is something else! His songs and mvs are masterful!!! I do get the Jackson Wang reference, 'cause sometimes his voice kinda of sounds similar and Jackson is one of my Favourite Soloists and a collab between these 2 geniuses would be a DREAM! DPR Ian is the type of artist where all his songs is a bop
-ah the obsession I have with dpr Ian (Christian Yu) mito = mood swings in this order and mood swings into order are God tier level. His music and the way he produces his music and videos are so captivating
He is a great introduction into the DPR universe. DPR stands for Dream, perfect, regime. They are a label that do everything in house. DPR Live is the main hip hop and rapper. DPR REM does more rock and production stuff. DPR Ian is the person who gathered all of them together and he does everything. Production, editing, directing, and so much more. And they all work to help each other on their music and projects. They were even on the Shang Chi soundtrack. Please check the whole DPR crew out.

Y'all gotta do an album listen for both his full length albums. They are just incredible projects.
Because I really don't see many mentioning it; one of the biggest contributing factors to his art, music, direction and just his craft in general is his Bipolar Disorder. He often creates his music during his manic episodes as well and learning about it was incredible. Ian was diagnosed with Bipolar 1 as a teenager and he managed to embody his disorder within a "character" in his music and music videos named Mito. You're able to tell if it's Mito or Ian during the music videos because of two factors: 1. Mito is missing an eye, whenever we are seeing Mito and not Ian his right eye is "missing" (completely white) and 2. Mito's scenes are often in black and white. Whenever we are meant as viewers to perceive the person we see as Mito, the music video turns black and white. I HIGHLY recommend delving into his inspiration and drive as an artist as well as his music in general because he's absolutely amazing. I really can't comprehend how his mind doesn't explode with how much is constantly going on inside it. He was also a huge help for me personally, as I struggle with multiple different mental illnesses and personality disorder myself, so consuming his content and learning about him as a person made me so much less afraid of myself and my mind. He is such a nice, genuine person in general as well. I had the amazing privilege of seeing him live and it was insane. He directs, acts, produces, edits, writes, plays instruments, its insane. He's also directed music videos for other artists, like his friend and labelmate, DPR Live and soloist MINO. He's the definition of a true artist.
As someone who's been listening to Korean music for more than a decade I would say yeah hes one of the best male solo artists out there. 👏
