  • The Vickers Gun is an iconic weapon, developed from the Maxim and adopted by the British in 1912. It served for over 50 years in conflicts all around the world.
In this video, Richard Fisher of the Vickers Machine Gun Collection and Research Association shows us how to disassemble a Vickers. Big thank you to Rich for taking the time to help with this video and provide the voice over explaining the process!
We'll have more videos on the Vickers Gun in the future!

I will never again complain about the barrel change process for the 1919A4.

Fascinating video, love watching these older firearms get disassembled. Would love to see this done for the Type 92 if you ever got the opportunity.

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. The Type 92 is definitely going on the list that would be a great one to cover in the future. Thanks for watching! - Matt

Barrel Change must be funny, with hot water inside.
    Best regards from Germany.

Could you please measure the outside diameter of the chambered end of the barrel and let me know. I would really appreciate it.

Any of you chaps know where to get a set of side rails (you know the parts that connect to the charging handle to the barrel)? or Blueprints perhaps.
