What this would mean is that the RT is capable of the same things that the SRT is capable of, its just that these features were disabled in the RT. Its just an assumption but this would imply that the RT has the same performance parts as the SRT, other than the engine. Right?

Jason Rast it's kinda involved to get into the menu to change it but you can do it. The car will change the awd status when you slow down. Think of it like a 4x4 truck

William Sneed you have to have the Tazer unit in the obd port and go through the menus that you turned on and turn them off. If you paid someone else to unlock them for you then you need to find them to have them undo it. I'm in Colorado if I can be any assistance to you.

Aran Hemn the SRT of our generation only had the 5 speed automatic transmission. Maybe the program does not know how to read the 8 speed. Wish I had a solution for ya.
I was able to add the SRT pages to my 2014 Charger Pursuit but I don't have the sport mode icon like you do. Is there something I missed while in my BCM?
I'm going thru the same issue with my 2013 Dodge Charger R/T my radiator fan is only working on one speed causing the car to run hotter than normal. Do I need to replace the Relay Switch Radiator Fan ? Please help
Sounds like a relay switch but the best way to troubleshoot it is have a tech plug their computer into the obd2 port and force the fan to go to high. If it doesnt then likely a relay switch.
when I turned on performance pages on my Uconnect from using the tazer it didn’t reset like in the video??. I had to turn on my car just for it to save onto the car without plugging it out. my car kinda struggled to turn on but it worked. Also I had a quick question do I have to have the tazer married to my car just have those settings or can I unmarry it and give others 2011-2014 srt pages without unmarrying my car so I won’t lose my pages. All this married and unmarried is confusing
I bought my tazer in order to enable my backup camera for my 2013 Charger SXT plus. When I plug it in I only get about 4 options. None of them are pertaining to my backup camera. Am I missing a step? Do I have to choose marry when first plugging the tazer into my car to get the rest of the options?
I still run an older version so I am not familiar with what is restricted if you are not "married" I assume you have to marry it to get full options. Keep in mind you have different options if going through the menu in the "key on" position and the "engine on (car running)" position
I just got my tazer today and got every srt page able to work I was able to set up sport and eco on the display but I can't activate sport and eco on my 2012 sxt when I tried switching the drive transmission did not let me kept say no
Jay Wilson didn't want to pay $1,200 for the package when my phone has a map that works fine. I have the driver confidence group that gave me the back up camera and if I wanted nav that also gives you back up camera then that means dodge would double charge me for the camera.

Taylor Mowry did you just activate them? I had to turn on the option then turn the car off. Take the keys with me close the door and stand away from the car for 1 minute. This allows the computer to completely restart. When I got back in the car and turned it on the pages were there.
I have been using mine on my 2013 charger but say I want to use it on my girls 2012 challenger now would I have to Unmarry it for everything to work right and if so how? ?
Of you are running new firmware you have to unmarry to use it on another car. If you unmarry it will set your car back to default. The only way you can use it for multiple cars is if you are running older firmware.
My car is a 2014. If you can try to get a 2012 or newer. As far as I know the tazer does not support the 2011 but people have told me I am wrong. The reason it wont work is mainly because of the old style evic. The 2011 has the old evic and this wont unlock anything for you there. I am also assuming it being a police car you dont have the 8.4 uconnect radio so it won't do much for you there. The tazer unlocks the "srt" menus for your car and the srt didn't exist till 2012.
dasllamas im trying too look for a 2012 but cant find one with low miles or a good price. The 2011 police rt with103k miles is only 8k.. and it does have the 8.4 unconnect radio in it..
If you have a 2012 to 2014 with the 5 speed yes 5 speed sport set to on. Performance pages can be strange sometimes. Set it to on and turn everything off. Take the keys with you amd get out of the car. Walk away for about a minute then come back to it. When you turn the car on you should have performance pages
Pop a regular DVD in your cd player. All Uconnects with a 10" screen will run a regular DVD for video. Albeit except at 5 mph and above. That selection for "Video" may just shut that feature off to let it run the DVD video while driving.
Let us know how you like that. Sounds still runs on the DVD under normal operation, it just blacks out with a safety message. My kids go nuts between lights. That's why it's nice to have a HEMI, lol. Your kids get to miss very little between stopping.
Yeah I tried a Blu-ray disk once and it reverted to a 4x3 regular DVD format so I guess my Blu-ray had both copies on there. But I always play DVDs for the kids. Especially when we're at car shows.
Isn’t the Z Tazer married to the vehicle once it’s been plugged in and what not? You would have to pay to unmarry it from your vehicle to be able to activate it for another vehicle… am I wrong?

I didnt see any steering wheel paddle shifters on your car and I know that you can put paddle shifters on your steering wheel and activate the paddle shifter option using the tazer. Have you looked into this or have done this mod already? I know this is a pretty old video. Thanks.
Oh ok. I was looking into buying a steering wheel thats for a chrysler 300c that is the same year as mine. The steering wheel is being sold for about $60. I have seen videos where the paddles are interchangeable. Granted they wont be big new shiny srt paddle shifters but they will still get the job done. Lol
dasllamas from what I have seen they should tranfer right over. The option already exists in in the computers and just needs to be activated either through the dealer or through the z automotive tazer. Some people are just going for the SRT ones because they are bigger for better ergonomics and maybe the look too. Im sure you could use the same wheel too if its the same year and make for the most part. I saw one guy try to put a 2015 steering wheel on a 2014 and none of the steering wheel buttons worked. I think its because generation 2 and generation 3 have different types of computers.
After enabling 5 speed sport mode and performance pages it no longer shows the P,R,N,D on my center dash and I can no longer enable manual mode because of this. I have a 2014 Dodge Charger police RT, Has this ever happened to you? If not do u have any recommendations? Thanks for great video.
@@dasllamas yes I have the police shifter that’s behind the right side of steering wheel and there’s a button on end of shifter I can press that will put it into manual and then I shift with the little arrows on shifters. But atm i cannot do that
@@DeaglesNEagles I know the way it is displayed for the 8 speed trans on the v6 with the tazer it changes how it looks on the dash. As for it not allowing you to manually shift thats the first ive heard of it.

For the srt stuff, sport mode, and turning on paddle shifters etc you can take it out but for line lock, forcing rwd, light show and those options it has to stay in.

@@andrearakelian-gonzalez4009 yup will work just like that. See if you can find someone locally with a tazer that runs an older firmware they can unlock it for you. I have mine and usually charge 40 bucks to do it. Beats paying 250 for one if you just wa t srt pages and paddle shifters
You can update it anytime. Whenever you bring the car to the dealer reset your options to default and turn them back on after you get it back. Most places dont care bust better safe than sorry
stallion296 shifts at a little higher rpm. Shifts harder/faster. Holds higher rpm. I compared 0-60 with it off and with it on there was little difference. Combined with the auto stick I was able to improve 0-60 by 2 tenths of a second.
Cesar Davila your tazer should have came with a usb cord. Connect tazer to your computer and visit www.zautomotive.com/updates/ download and install firmware utility. Once installed, the utility software will walk you through selecting and updating your tazer with firmware. (Make sure you download ALL the updates, not just the latest one otherwise your tazer won’t work)
jpmaready after activating performance pages take your keys turn off the car exit and shut the door. Stand about 25 feet away for 1-3 minutes. When you get back in it should be on. Only works on 8.4 uconnect screens
Big Willy I believe you have that spaceship looking shift knob. There should be an "M" there for manual mode so you can use the shifter to change gears. You don't need a Tazer for that. I've only driven an act once and didn't look for the manual mode so I can be wrong on that option.
Peak rpms like is that the rev limiter? And can you change what the rev limiter is also can the taser extend the governor because I know RTS tap out at 130
Darius Smith it can’t change the limiter or remove the governor. I had mine changed with a custom tune. These features are more of a novelty in my opinion.
Caltac03 you have to have the Tazer to reset it. If you had someone else do it for you they have to undo it. If you have the Tazer just go change the settings back to what they were before you changed it.
To turn off sport mode go to the sport 8speed option and change the value to no. Main thing is you should have the srt performance set to off so they don't flag your car.
Do you know if you can add the Bee animation on the cars start up? The original Super Bee SRT Chargers have this in the centre of the cluster. A Bee flapping its wings comes up on start up and im wondering if it is possible to add this feature on another Charger with this tazer device.

lamar pagan what part didn't work? I think the 2011 has a black and white evic so it isn't supported. I don't know if you have the 8.4 u connect or not. I don't think all features are available for the 2011.
lamar pagan if you just got it from them it should have the current firmware. So after you turn on the performance pages turn off the car and take the keys with you and exit the car. Close the door and stay 20-30 feet away for about a minute. When you come back and turn on the car you should have it. Their site does say it's 2012+ chargers too so that could be an issue
Antonio Ruiz yes it is. The dealer can void the warranty covering the radio and evic if they know you did it so reset it to stock if you bring the car in for service
Antonio Ruiz yes it works just like you had it from the factory. Just know that all it does is it changes shift timing and keeps your rpm higher for a more "spirited drive" it does not make the car faster.
Two questions. I have an AWD 2014 as well, you ever hear any weird noises if you let off the gas, at say 25, 35? Basically slowly accel in town and when you let off, seems almost like a transfer case type thing, under drivers seat? Just a SLIGHT annoying sound. Had it in they said maybe an actuator. And second, no problems with forcing rwd? Love your videos and our Chargers.
Medic8te that corsa exhaust is nice. Little mild for my taste but no drone. No problems with forcing RWD. I have not noticed any odd sounds like what you are referring to. nawar darweesh forces 100% rwd. Front drive and t case is disengaged when forcing rwd. Don't see why is would damage the awd system. I have had no issues so far
i drive a 2016 charger R/t and my friend just bought a 2018 rt and has srt sounding engine, will my 2016 r/t sound like a srt if i bought this or if he uses the taser on my car?
Blooper News yes it does. You can even change your splash screen to the shocker, scat pack, or hell cat. There are other options too for the 2015+ models
Can be pucky sometimes. Make sure you have the 8.4 uconnect radio. After turning on the feature power the car off, exit the car with keys, lock the door and walk away for 1 to 2 minutes. When you get back in and start the car it should be active

There have been several updates since this video. They have more options now but you do have to marry it to yor car

That car isn't slow. In Michigan, a 13 charger rt with just an intake ran 13.7 which is pretty good

Aran Hemn the v6 in the 2011-2014 had the 8 speed option. The RT and SRT had 5 speed. Don't believe the 8 speed was available until the 2015 body

When you unmarry it resets your car back to stock. Its normal to sometimes have to power off then on for settings to take effect.

Yes it would but careful burning up tires. They all need to be within 2/32 of each other.

With the new firmware when you unmarry the tazer it will reset your car to what it was when you married the tazer

No. You cant force awd on a rwd car. Rwd car does not have a transfer case front drive shaft, front diff, etc.

Yeah I tried a Blu-ray disk once and it reverted to a 4x3 regular DVD format so I guess my Blu-ray had both copies on there. But I always play DVDs for the kids. Especially when we're at car shows.

Isn’t the Z Tazer married to the vehicle once it’s been plugged in and what not? You would have to pay to unmarry it from your vehicle to be able to activate it for another vehicle… am I wrong?

I didnt see any steering wheel paddle shifters on your car and I know that you can put paddle shifters on your steering wheel and activate the paddle shifter option using the tazer. Have you looked into this or have done this mod already? I know this is a pretty old video. Thanks.

Oh ok. I was looking into buying a steering wheel thats for a chrysler 300c that is the same year as mine. The steering wheel is being sold for about $60. I have seen videos where the paddles are interchangeable. Granted they wont be big new shiny srt paddle shifters but they will still get the job done. Lol

dasllamas from what I have seen they should tranfer right over. The option already exists in in the computers and just needs to be activated either through the dealer or through the z automotive tazer. Some people are just going for the SRT ones because they are bigger for better ergonomics and maybe the look too. Im sure you could use the same wheel too if its the same year and make for the most part. I saw one guy try to put a 2015 steering wheel on a 2014 and none of the steering wheel buttons worked. I think its because generation 2 and generation 3 have different types of computers.

After enabling 5 speed sport mode and performance pages it no longer shows the P,R,N,D on my center dash and I can no longer enable manual mode because of this. I have a 2014 Dodge Charger police RT, Has this ever happened to you? If not do u have any recommendations? Thanks for great video.
Hmm dont have experience using this on a police package. I assume you have the genuine police package with the column shift?
@@dasllamas yes I have the police shifter that’s behind the right side of steering wheel and there’s a button on end of shifter I can press that will put it into manual and then I shift with the little arrows on shifters. But atm i cannot do that
@@DeaglesNEagles I know the way it is displayed for the 8 speed trans on the v6 with the tazer it changes how it looks on the dash. As for it not allowing you to manually shift thats the first ive heard of it.
@@dasllamas I removed all the stuff I had added and done a full reboot and still hasn’t came back on dash. Mine is a v8 5 speed, hoping I can find a way to get it back on dash.

For the srt stuff, sport mode, and turning on paddle shifters etc you can take it out but for line lock, forcing rwd, light show and those options it has to stay in.
@@dasllamas so if I just wanna unlock sport mode and paddle shifting and the set stuff I put it in turn those on and take it out, I like having AWD on and I just really want to be able to shift and see the other things on the screen
@@andrearakelian-gonzalez4009 yup will work just like that. See if you can find someone locally with a tazer that runs an older firmware they can unlock it for you. I have mine and usually charge 40 bucks to do it. Beats paying 250 for one if you just wa t srt pages and paddle shifters

You can update it anytime. Whenever you bring the car to the dealer reset your options to default and turn them back on after you get it back. Most places dont care bust better safe than sorry

what kind of difference do you feel in sport mode
stallion296 shifts at a little higher rpm. Shifts harder/faster. Holds higher rpm. I compared 0-60 with it off and with it on there was little difference. Combined with the auto stick I was able to improve 0-60 by 2 tenths of a second.
I just got my tazer for my 2011 rt Charger and I have none of these options on my tazer ? Is something wrong?

Cesar Davila your tazer should have came with a usb cord. Connect tazer to your computer and visit www.zautomotive.com/updates/ download and install firmware utility. Once installed, the utility software will walk you through selecting and updating your tazer with firmware. (Make sure you download ALL the updates, not just the latest one otherwise your tazer won’t work)
I got the srt to pop up but after I waiters 60 seconds the more detailed menu won’t pop up plz help
jpmaready after activating performance pages take your keys turn off the car exit and shut the door. Stand about 25 feet away for 1-3 minutes. When you get back in it should be on. Only works on 8.4 uconnect screens

Big Willy I believe you have that spaceship looking shift knob. There should be an "M" there for manual mode so you can use the shifter to change gears. You don't need a Tazer for that. I've only driven an act once and didn't look for the manual mode so I can be wrong on that option.
Peak rpms like is that the rev limiter? And can you change what the rev limiter is also can the taser extend the governor because I know RTS tap out at 130
Darius Smith it can’t change the limiter or remove the governor. I had mine changed with a custom tune. These features are more of a novelty in my opinion.

Darius Smith barely. It would be like 0.1 of a second 0-60. Don’t expect any major gains from it

Caltac03 you have to have the Tazer to reset it. If you had someone else do it for you they have to undo it. If you have the Tazer just go change the settings back to what they were before you changed it.

dasllamas The only way I have sport mode is if I have Drive Mode on yes , other than that it's completely gone
To turn off sport mode go to the sport 8speed option and change the value to no. Main thing is you should have the srt performance set to off so they don't flag your car.

Do you know if you can add the Bee animation on the cars start up? The original Super Bee SRT Chargers have this in the centre of the cluster. A Bee flapping its wings comes up on start up and im wondering if it is possible to add this feature on another Charger with this tazer device.

It will work but until you get the 8.4 you wont get performance pages. Should get sport and the srt menu in your evic though

Timothy Liniarski sport mode just gives faster shifts. If you want power and speed get a Diablo tuner.

lamar pagan what part didn't work? I think the 2011 has a black and white evic so it isn't supported. I don't know if you have the 8.4 u connect or not. I don't think all features are available for the 2011.

lamar pagan if you just got it from them it should have the current firmware. So after you turn on the performance pages turn off the car and take the keys with you and exit the car. Close the door and stay 20-30 feet away for about a minute. When you come back and turn on the car you should have it. Their site does say it's 2012+ chargers too so that could be an issue

Antonio Ruiz yes it is. The dealer can void the warranty covering the radio and evic if they know you did it so reset it to stock if you bring the car in for service

Antonio Ruiz yes it works just like you had it from the factory. Just know that all it does is it changes shift timing and keeps your rpm higher for a more "spirited drive" it does not make the car faster.

Two questions. I have an AWD 2014 as well, you ever hear any weird noises if you let off the gas, at say 25, 35? Basically slowly accel in town and when you let off, seems almost like a transfer case type thing, under drivers seat? Just a SLIGHT annoying sound. Had it in they said maybe an actuator.
And second, no problems with forcing rwd? Love your videos and our Chargers.

I have not noticed any odd sounds like what you are referring to. Maybe I can't hear it over the exhaust but I didn't notice it before I put it on.

nawar darweesh forces 100% rwd. Front drive and t case is disengaged when forcing rwd. Don't see why is would damage the awd system. I have had no issues so far

Have to change the exhaust to change the sound. Tazer will not change the sound

Blooper News yes it does. You can even change your splash screen to the shocker, scat pack, or hell cat. There are other options too for the 2015+ models

Can be pucky sometimes. Make sure you have the 8.4 uconnect radio. After turning on the feature power the car off, exit the car with keys, lock the door and walk away for 1 to 2 minutes. When you get back in and start the car it should be active
