Hey, been watching your videos for a while but I just recently purchased a decent dap (the hiby r3). I was wondering where i could purchase FLAC files for hip hop (Kendrick Lamar, Earl Sweatshirt, Tupac, etc.). Where do you get most of your lossless files?
mostly ripping CDs or downloading them at HD tracks and so on, but to be very honest with you, this is one of those topics were the audiophiles debate about it because many (me included) can't hear any difference between 320 kbits/s mp3 1040 kbits flac or even 24 bit 1700kbits flac, imo you wont really benefit from high res audio tracks, the most important part of how good a song sounds is on which equipment the track was recorded and the mastering after that, no matter how high the resolution of the track is, a bad recorded song will sound bad no matter what, as long as you don't go lower than 320 kbits mp3 you're good to go, but i say it again it's just my opinion

I have a WM1Z, I'll never part with but, I'm in the market for a DAP with some streaming capabilities, I took a pass on the R6 for the same reason most did (impedance) I know they are not in the same "ball park" but, I'd love to get your take on the sound signature differences between the two. Please check the Bluetooth range and the WiFi connectivity. R6 is down to $455 vs this R6 Pro at est $799 sale price. Some people have complained about the WiFi on R6 and some reported battery issues. Please test the R6 Pro with the DM6''s please. The 4.4 mm is the only fully balance output on this device. Put a 200 GB or bigger card in BRo and scan the database and check the the load times please. Is this better then my Onkyo DXP-1a ?
I had the R6 and returned it due to terrible WiFi strength and low Bluetooth volume . Volume output wasnt very good either for the money you are spending .

I used to swear by viper4android, and still use it on my phones. But after having MSEB on the r3, it's hard to use anything else. Might have to upgrade to the cheaper r6 now...
That thing is gorgeous, but I think I'm done. I have a stainless R6, a Cayin N5iiS, a stainless steel Hidizs Ap80. I haven't had an impedance problem that I'm aware of with my R6. I love my N5iiS, but this little Hidizs Ap80 is just what I need right now. It's so easy to carry around with me... Just perfect. It's light, takes up no space in my pocket. The sound is WAY above average. Not N5iiS level, but close. I'm still interested to hear what you think of the R6 Pro... But I think have to stop buying daps.

It's a shame the paw doesn't have a top quality screen for the price. You might find you calm down with age I've got a scare down my cheek where I got bottled my left ear got ripped in half by a iron bar and to knuckles inverted on my right hand. And believe it or not I won those flights, now I think what a waste and look what I got for it and these days I'm very chilled and life is a learning process.

If you are looking for a good streaming service get a Qobuz abo and be done. Much better than Tidal and all other streaming services imo...

I don't have the chord. R6 PRO and WM1A are both neutral tuned to my ear. WM1A maybe better DAC (I am a Sony fanboy...disclaimer)
