Might be an internet or FPS issue on your end. I also think that there’s a trick to go into your game files and uncap FPS but I’m not well versed on that end

Isn’t oil always better than leveling up tavern with 3 gold remaining. You’re essentially giving yourself one free reroll for the rest of the game so you make the money back really quickly.

It's battlecry is lowering the cost of the tavern by 1. If he plays it turn 1 then uploading the tavern in turn 2 will cost 3 gold instead of 4, leaving one gold hanging. It's better to upgrade the tavern first and then play the unit so the effect is relevant.
