Great video. Do you hit the hooves with heatgun or torch to pull out moisture? I am curious about the deantal impression packing, am going to try the easycare soft packing. Have you tried it? Thanks
Great question! They are made out of a polyurethane! The material is actually a similar density to the hoof wall so it allows the hoof capsule to function like it would if the horse was barefoot but with added protection. I just cut the base of the tabs, remove the shoe, then peel the tabs off of the hoof wall. Yes! I call them Nikes for horses lol.
Hi!I love your videos, I've lost count of how many times I've rewatched this one. I have a question... what is the mesh insert that is in the shoe? I don't see any kind of product like that on the Easy Care site. Is is necessary to keep the DIM from popping out?
Hi there! I’m so glad you are enjoying the videos! The mesh I used in this horse is actually screen material. If you are going to put DIM under a shoe like this you will need to add something like that to hold it in place. I have used a drywall patch before too. But my favorite is Vettec Mesh. If you can’t find any on their website WellShod definitely sells it on theres. It lasts the longest and is the easiest to work with in my opinion. Easycare has also started making plugs that you can insert in the hole in the bottom of the shoe.
A pleasure to watch. Thanks for sharing 🙂...
Thank you for your kind comment and thank you for watching 🙏🏻❤️
Nice to watch, we have a two year old mare, and we found a barefoot farrier, she is coming in a few weeks here in the Netherlands
That is awesome! Thank you for your comment and thank you for watching!

@@marleeloveridge8851 thank you! I very rarely use a heat gun. I have not used easycares packing material.
What are the shoes made of?
Do you use a solvent to remove them?
The horse version of sneakers?

What did you spray on the hoof after the shoes were glued?
That is an adhesive accelerant!
@@The_Female_Farrier is there a brand that you recommend?
@@hiattriver I have been using one called Mitreapel. I usually buy it on Amazon.
