When talking about character action games, the two examples you gave were Batman AA and Assassin's Creed. No wonder why you associate button mashing with character action... They're not character action games! Games like Devil May Cry, or Bayonetta really define the genre. I thought that's where you were going when you were talking about them. Anyways, great review otherwise! You brought back memories of this game for me. I remember reading about how everyone hated this game when it came out so I never played it.
You're right, that was a slip up on my part, the "character" shouldn't have been included in that description. Dunno why I wrote it that way in my script, the difference between these genres is fairly massive.
