@@connorterry7773 Thanks for your comment! TRUE…! ? I was surprised and happy✨ The tuning is regular, but I use a special spider capo. I use a normal capo on the 2nd fret, and a spider capo on the 4th fret on the 6th, 4th, and 3rd strings. Got it?
@@shmunked I'll gladly explain! (Expect a wall of text, I'm sorry in advance 😅) It's something that I have noticed all along my times of music listening and playing, 16 years of guitar, been listening to music seriously for this long as well and I've been composing music for around 4 years where I also started getting into music theory... What I have noticed is that there are differences between mainly, the chord progressions, European and American pop/rock music is well known for having the infamous 4 chords (E,B,C# minor, A) meanwhile Japan has their own interpretation of the 4 chords with the Royal Road Progression with a IV7-V7-iii7-vi, to make a clearer example: do a power chord on the 5th fret of the E or A string, then 7th, 4th and 9th, you'll find that this specific progression is in so many different Japanese songs, anime intros, rock, idol music etc and also Rick Astley. Yep. This alone differentiates Japanese music from Western music! (And no, not THAT kind of western music in cowboys movies lol although it's such an interesting music to study as well!) As for harmonies, I don't know if it's because I've spent so many years listening to both Japanese rock and UK/US rock but for example take One OK Rock, a Japanese rock band and compare it to like Foo Fighters, you'll notice that there are a few differences in the harmonies, that I yet can't really explain with words, different dynamics, voicings, atmospheres as well. I may sound like "that guy" but I noticed that there are more complicated, sometimes dissonant chords, longer scales and chords progression as they sometimes extend these a lot in Japanese music. If you can read it, just look at the tabs of Cassiopea, it's insane! And I know that there are Western bands that do just that as well yet it's not as prevalent in my opinion, Muse for example has, in my opinion, the best chord progressions, the best ways to create and relieve the musical tension like no other, but the frontman is trained in classical music lol. Or also Rush, Yes, Led Zeppelin... One thing I noticed too, Japanese music is often "more trebley" than like US music where we have a big focus on bass and low mids, in traditional Japanese music Flutes, stringed instruments are often more trebley and what makes the bass is often only the drums, taikos and such. But that most definitely seems to come from the differences between how Western countries and Japanese were making their music centuries ago and the heritage. Like, when you compare Indian microtonal music to Beethoven, it's night and day but that's how it was for them for decades and their ways of writing it got perfected over time. It's the same in my opinion with Japanese music. The way they made music for centuries just stucked with them and that's how they managed to get that specific feeling. I know it's a looooong wall of text but I'm very bad at being concise 😂 I hope it helped you see my vision! And to answer to you @kot_0525 this "everything" creates a specific atmosphere that I really enjoy, I'm not saying that I dislike Western music or anything since that's what I've been raised listening to basically haha, it's just that it's different and that's a change from all the music I've been listening to for half of my life!
@@kot_0525 yeah the best thing you can have on the guitar is to get a cool-sounding riff that's also very melodic I'm a songwriter and producer so I know man lol
