After watching so many of your vlogs, I'm finally here myself!! First solo trip as 26F. In Seoul, right now, enjoying the view from 14th floor at my hotel with an iced vanilla latte and bagel. Life's good right now. It's pretty rainy today so if you have any indoor activities you'd recommend, let me know 😊 I was at Changyeonggung yesterday, it was so beautiful!!
If you love seeing exhibitions, National Museum of Korea or National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art would be a great choice!
If you love shopping, The Hyundai Seoul + IFC mall in Yeo-ui do would be great for indoor activities!

Totally agree with what you said about going out a ways and exploring/getting out of routine. Just yesterday I traveled out of my neighborhood, planning on going to a specific park, but that didn't happen. I got lost instead lol. Instead I hiking a LOT of stairs. But I just kept walking and discovered some really cool gems that I never would have known to look for otherwise. I was so happy! 🥰

I used to live in Mangwon, right near the old market-in-u (iykyk) and this made me so nostalgic :') it's such a lovely neighborhood! I hope it stays small and old and non-commercial forever

I was in Seoul two weeks ago and I went to mangwon on your recommendation and omg. It was my favorite neighborhood!!! I am already planning my trip back so I can explore it even more. Also I knew there were a lot of cafes in Seoul, but whoa, it is truly next level. A cafe lovers dream. Everywhere I went I was seduced by beautiful cafes. They did not disappoint! Can’t wait to return. 😊
On top of everything else, you just choose THE best music! And I loved the music at the cafe too. I can put on Aretha and Smokey and Otis and make any day the best day. :) I hope you're having a fun time. I had missed this video so I had fun catching up!
I'm re-watching this video 8 months after you posted it and watched it for the first time. I'll be in Seoul in just 3 weeks and i'm staying in this neighbourhood. I didnt realise you made some videos about it and now im rewatching this and i feel so excited because now i remember thinking how lovely and peaceful that neighbourhood looked!

I find these videos so cozy! I live in Yeongdong right now, a small town near Daejeon, and besides exploring coffeeshops, unfortunately I tend to stick to just a few bigger stores, though I've seen a few cute small shops around. (Though admittedly, my favorites, which are bookstores and secondhand shops, Yeondong doesn't really have...) These videos are making me want to explore the smaller shops around here as well, not to mention visit Seoul sometime for the simple purpose of exploring around and finding cute little shops and cafes to spend time and read books in.
Oh, I also had glasses similar to those you found in the vintage shop, and I've definitely seen items I used to own in vintage shops back home. However, it doesn't make me feel old; it makes me feel classy 😁

I love your neighborhood tour of Mangwon! I explored Mangwon when I went there to find Warmgrey Tail’s store. It felt like I was being pulled from one artsy store to the next because of how many there were in the vicinity 🥹

Mangwon is my favourite area atm. Luckily I live every close that neighbourhood. I love the cafes and cute shops there.
Korean stationery is so cute as well as the cafes too. I need to buy a lot of Korean stationery if I visit Korea in the future (I love the designs), I'll have to try a lot of Korean foods and buy a book for learning Korean.

I first found your channel through Cari Can Read. I think it was the studio ghibli type book recs. I've been in love since then. I first imagined that the window beside you lead to a wild field of grass that went on for miles and miles and with little flowers here and there as if you were a garden fairy since you always dressed nicely with bandanas in your hair; so can you image the shock when I found out it was a busy city?
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that i LOVE watching your videos. You're one of the few RUclipsrs I've stuck with for more than a few months. I love looking at Seoul and other cities through your lense because you always capture the things that interest me most like random bits of architecture, bits of art, culture, nice foods, aesthetic things, etc. I love watching your video as I crochet or draw or write poetry.
