    17 days is still 17 days. Use it. If you don’t use it, they may not give you a visa the next time around cause they will say they could have given it to someone else who needed it. Don’t waste it, you just also wasted the embassy’s time in processing your papers to give you the 17 day visa. D lang ikaw naabala sila rin.

    • @cezrola
      @cezrola 3 месяца назад +2

      Not really. They can still give MJ another visa if she wants to reappply again after 3mos of the expiration of her visa. The imigration might ask why she did not use it in case she did not really, but the embassy would not question this, so long as there are valid reasons like her papa’s medical situation and bills. But even if she go or not, use it or not, the EU embassy does not interview her and will give her still another visa if she applied again

    MJ, Go see Robbie, 17 days is better than nothing. You need a break. Once in Poland, talk to an immigration lawyer about your options.
    Sometimes in life it’s not about quantity but the quality of time spent together that matters the most.

    I understand how you feel...torn between seeing your love one and being practical also. And considering also your dad. For me...if you think its not worth it to spend too much for a shorr trip, yoi might as well cancel it and ask robbie to have the trip here in the philippines. I hope it helped you but i'm still happy that you were granted the visa.

  • @kayhirano
    @kayhirano 3 месяца назад +33

    Everything happens for a reason .. my two cents.. I think you should just go and spend that much awaited time with Robbie . Even if you were given a 90-day visa you’d probably be worried sick about your dad back home and might want to fly back after 2 weeks . If you’re granted a visa (which I understand Schengen is not an easy visa to apply for)you should just use it or chances are you might not get approved when you reapply.
    That or.. you could have Robbie meet you somewhere where it’s visa- free and then fly to Poland with him . I know it can be a hassle but hey .. nothing is easy, right?
    The Guy up there 👆 heard your prayers and made it possible for you to be with Robbie and at the same time knows that your dad needs you as well ., hence the 17-day visa . Also, I think if you manage your time well when with Robbie, 17 days is sufficient.
    At the end of the day , the decision is still yours to make.

    It is easy nowadays to apply for schengen visa so long as it is sponsored by your bf or fiance. But if you go solo and can sponsor yourself in EU, you might be asked few supporting docs like they did to you. Usually tourist visa has 90days duration. Why only 17days, i think that is impossible. 3mos is a standard maximum duration for tourist visa. You can only extend visa if you got sick and need to confine in a hospital, got preggy, or if your bf got accident and you are the only one right there for him. Extension of visa is subject for approval, and they would only give you 3-7days extension. If 17days is really what it is in your visa, if you have the means i think you can go. And just enjoy the 2weeks vacation with your love. I hope Robbie have balls to sponsor you anyway

    Distance creates a yearning that logic can't erase. How can you truly connect with someone you love when miles stretch between you? True love isn't about weighing pros and cons, it's about following your heart. Time may be a hurdle, but for even a single day of closeness, the choice is clear. Any distance pales in comparison to the joy of being together.

I hope all your efforts will pay off in time and hoping this man will the last man stand for you forever. I feel your heart is full of love to share and you deserve to be loved too. However, chasing someone and the situation doesn't agree it makes you less valuable. You have to be a valuable woman and being a valuable woman is reserved and preserved and waiting for the right time to pursue.

    The Shengen Visa should be 90 days in any 180 day period,you must look carefully at your last visit to make sure it was definitely at least 6 months ago,if not the days you were in EU will be counted,that is maybe why you were only granted 17 days,I think you should wait a couple of months and apply again but don't leave it too late as the EU is bringing in crazy rules after October when evryone outside Shengen area will upon arrival get their fingerprints scanned and photo taken before entry and this will be kept on record for 3 years,it is going to cause chaos at airports,ports,etc.

    • @hansreynders6853
      @hansreynders6853 3 месяца назад

That must be so heartbreaking to be rejected especially when want to see loved ones. Yes that duration thing is confusing. Only 17days? Papa can manage fine. Michelle is aware of everything. The only problem with trying to get an extension is that the visa process then goes back for a reassessment and it can back fire. They may find or see some type of problem and deny the whole lot. Best to travel to Poland and try to extend from over there, giving them a reasonable excuse as to why you need an extension, such as a viral or bacterial infection which normally would take a couple of weeks to get fixed... :)

    Be grateful for what you are given. Visit for 17 days, and then hopefully, next time they will approve for longer. Its like not taking a piece of cake because you wanted the entire thing.

    Accept what they have given you. You don't want to rock the boat before you go and ask for an extension as they can cancel if they find a reason to knock you back. Ask for an extension once you are in Poland and tell them you have a very bad stomach bug or something similar but hopefully Robbie has a good doctor who is willing to help. A little white lie is not too bad in this case. You mentioned Papa's situation and you can not live your life that way. Your parents are getting older and even though it is great to be able to help them if needed in the future, Robbie also needs you to be with him to make your relationship stronger and be able to grow. Live your life and not sit around waiting "just in case something happens".

      They might cancel your visa if you ask for an extension. Just go now & figure it out how you can have your stay extended when you are in Poland already.

    MJ all I can say is that my lovely lady is from Cebu and I am in the UK Visas have always been an issue in the past for us although she now has residency here. We have little experience of the Shenzen Visa but did have a problem before when she had a visa issued to her but had not used it her next request was refused for that reason. Subsequent requests were granted without issues. In balance i think it might be best to have time with Robbie and when together try and progress matters when you are in Poland or Spain

That said I went back and forth from the states every 3 months in 1 month stays.. 🇺🇸 and my wife are 13hrs apart way farther then Europe

    Another option would be for Robbie to come see you. He could rent a airbnb in the city so you both have so privacy and you would still be close to home. However, the 17 days away from home may give you a much needed break.

    Try to apply for a Schengen Visa in a different country. Lithuania has 98% acceptance rate for 90 days. Portugal may be an option to renew and extend your visa with a high rate of renewal approval. Another option is for Robbie to take 2-3 weeks off work and return to Cebu with you after you visit him in Polska. Powodzenia.

    17 days is better than zero days, especially when you’re in love. What if 17 days makes or breaks your relationship? The longer time spent away from each other, sometimes causes the relationship to grow apart. Go for it MJ and make the best of 17 days.

    I have stage 4 cancer, and the only thing on my bucket list is visiting the Philippines with my wife. She is originally from Cebu, and I want to experience the people and culture. MJ for me it’s not a problem. You are making it a problem. A lot of ppl get rejected. You got approved the second time. Go travel anywhere you want to go as long as you use it. Or else they might not approve you the next time. My thoughts. It’s like they should have given it to someone else who badly needed it but instead they chose you. So don’t waste the opportunity and time and effort you put into it. I would go anywhere in Schengen countries for 17 days, just to get it stamped.
