  • This program will include how Irish Jewry arrived in Ireland, unusual places where information can be obtained, and a brief demonstration of the Carousel program which controls the 70,000 + individuals with the ability to print family trees. Presented by Stuart Rosenblatt, P.C., FGSI.
If anyone has an Irish Jewish connection, no matter how tenuous, or questions before the program, feel free to contact either the Genealogy Center or Stuart directly from the email below.
Stuart Rosenblatt, P.C., FGSI, is President of the Genealogical Society of Ireland and Administrator of the Irish Jewish Genealogical Society, a division of the Irish Jewish Museum Dublin. In the words of Michael Merrigan, the general secretary of the Genealogical Society of Ireland, Stuart is “the nation’s foremost authority on the archival history of the Irish-Jewish community.” Through is collection and careful research, Stuart has mapped the entire national Jewish Irish community and developed a national record of the Jewish community in the 32 counties of Ireland which covers all aspects of Jewish life going back over 300 years. Stuart's years of dedicated research culminated in 22 bound volumes chronicling Ireland’s Jewish community. His database for the Irish Jewish community has accumulated just over 68,500 (2021) entries.
He was made a Fellow of the society’s College “in recognition of the extraordinary contribution to the study of Irish Jewish Genealogy and the Jewish Community and for the indefatigable work on behalf of the community in recording the history of the Jewish people of Ireland over the past few centuries. A community that, despite its small numbers, contributed immeasurably to the making of modern Ireland.”
