I love Japanese aprons!! I bought two in 2019 on my trip there and I should have bought 6 !! I live in my apron all day …LOL . Since the pandemic, I am always in the kitchen. We rarely buy takeout now since prices went up and quality went down ☹️.
I am going to make this version sometime this year ….going on the project list. Your tutorial is excellent 👍👍👍👍.
My challenge will be finding fabric that I like in the thickness I would like .
Our fabric options in stores are not nearly as nice as fabric options in Asia. I don’t like buying online as I can’t feel the fabric.
Thank you for showing us how to sew this 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻.

Beautiful apron but it looks like you may have to piece it if using 45” fabric with a printed design. I am wondering how much more fabric to buy. I saw really nice fabric yesterday, cute for a farm or kitchen theme but I’m almost positive it is the 44/45” width. I’m guessing another yard just in case. Has anyone done this?

You mitre-cut corners before you turn it inside out (like in your front pocket). That way your corners don't get bulky. Round pattern pieces get snipped before sewing.
