Starting to get a clear picture that PS5 highly prioritizes IOPS over Sequential performance. The drives that I have found that provide 6,500MB/s PS5 Benchmark or higher are 1Million IOP drives. TBC!
Strange, I have the Gigabyte Aorus 7000s 2TB, PS5 rating is 65xxMB/s ... with IOPS of 650k ~ 700k, that's lower than the Viper which is 800k. PS5 advertizing Sequential Read not IOPS, but NAS says Sony might protorize IOPS.. I donno
Tough to compare them, as they are very different architecture. They are both good in their own ways and two of the very best examples of Phison E18 and Innogrit Rainer IG5236 SSDs. Basically, whichever you buy, you will do well.
I'm here for the tech and the Monty Python reference👍
If no one would have commented... I would have been DEVASTATED
Try it with Slovenian heatsink :)
I have this. The PS5 displayed a rating of 6025MB/s for the 2TB.

@@1blktalon Mine read 6402 MBs.
@@PredatoryPrey That’s good. Almost 10% better.
Nice review.
If I already have built-in heatsink with my Motherboard, do I still need/can use the heatsinks included with this SSD?
No
Is this one better then the Addlink?

@@nascompares I bought Addlink and went w it over WD because of your video, did i make a mistake? (Btw got 6300 read speed on PS5)
Lol you just voided your warranty by removing that sticker bro! That sticker said that the 5 year "warranty is void if removed."
