Bob, when you've got a secret hidden stash of supplies, that's called a "cash" of supplies, but the actual spelling is cache, from French origins. The word is used as both a verb and a noun, so once you have cached supplies, you have a supply cache.
It is not "cashay", which is spelled cachet, meaning a style and attraction, something else entirely.
Only the good lord knows why it seems mandatory for preppers to mispronounce and confuse all of this. Don't take my word on it, grab whatever dictionary is at hand. (What, you don't have a dictionary in your bug out bag?)
