  • Jesus promised that the gates of hell would not prevail against the church. Gates are a defensive tool, thus the implication is that the church will be on the attack, proclaiming the gospel as a light in a dark world. In this session, Rev. Burk Parsons exhorts believers to remain engaged in the ministry of the kingdom of God, knowing that although the calling is difficult, it will also be won.

It’s so great to be finding new pastors and theologians who present Gospel Truth so clearly and boldly, isn’t it? Ligonier definitely brings it home. I listen and watch for hours! It’s really nice to hear the enthusiasm of a kindred spirit. Thanks for that!

I really got lost in watching this. He makes many good points but diverts from the topic of the sermon. I also hoped to hear more scripture references than he gave. Coming out of a seeker sensitive church which - amongst other concerns - preaches with more wise words than scriptures, I feel disappointed. This was the first sermon I have ever watched of him - and I wanted to see him preach because I have seen so many wise quotes made by him on social media. Can anyone direct me to a sermon he gave that quotes a lot of scriptures and stays more on topic?
