Shri shri Harichand Thakur here did a lot for the untouchable people of Bengal, especially for the Namasudra Community..Every year thousands of pilgrims come here to attend the auspicious festival..Almost all of them dance with drum beats and take bathes in Kamona Sagar in order to purify innerself..
