CARNIVAL LEGEND: Is It FUN to sail out of Baltimore???
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 4 окт 2024
- Our 2023 family trip was a 7-day cruise to the Bahamas on the Carnival Legend. Many folks question if it is fun to cruise out of Baltimore. I say it is a cost-saving alternative for those who live in the Northeastern region of the United States. The ship was packed with many of the same activities that you would find on a sailing from Florida on a larger ship. #CarnivalCruise #CarnivalLegend #FamilyTrip

I am considering taking a transatlantic cruise on this ship. Your group cruise seemed to be a lot of fun, and the ship seemed lovely. Thank you for this fun vlog.
Thanks for watching!
@argguti that’s why I’m here 😅. Booked for the TA in April from Baltimore. This video helps
Oh wow! Shout out to yall for doing the TA. How long is that cruise? Happy the vlog was helpful.
@@StayStrong221that’s great! You will love that cruise on a Spirit class ship. They are the perfect size, and the main theater always has good seating. I ended up taking my TA cruise on the Pride (Legend’s sister ship), and loved it. 😊
@@SeeItWithCmy cruise was 15 days long. I am very glad I took that cruise on a spirit class ship. 😊
Hey Hun, I like the older ships. They are cozy and fun. Most of them didn't have a TV scene because people were always outside dancing and having different activities all day and night.
I like the dive in movies but always meet the nicest people on the smaller ships
Me too! I will take an older ship any day!!!
The have tons of personality
As a Travel Agent, I like this class of ships on Carnival. I sailed her twice last year, April and December. Will be back on her on August 27 for my first Solo Cruise! So excited and I'm mapping out my days and already booked the Chef's Table and transpiration to the Horseshoe Bay Beach with Carnival. No flight required, only an hour away from home and being dropped off and picked up is awesome! Thank You for sharing your positive perspective about this ship.
Agreed, travel advisor here as all and this class of ships are often docked in places where a flight to Miami may be a bit expensive. I’ve cruised from Baltimore and typically there are many travelers who prefer not to fly or are older clientele who want to cruise but are tired of the hustle and bustle that comes with the airports.
@@SeeItWithC I totally agree! I'm looking to go back on her in December Solo again. In need of another reboot.
I’m going on my first cruise on carnival legend for seven days I am scared and nervous and excited at the same time I know crazy right 😂
I think you’ll enjoy it. It’s a small ship with a variety of activities and great music acts. Come back and let me know how things went.
I loved it can't wait to travel from Baltimore again,🎉
I’m looking forward to trying Norwegian out of Baltimore. So far I have sailed Carnival and Royal Caribbean.
Glad you shared this cruise experience on the Legend!! I’ll be on the Legend the end of the year leaving out of Tampa 🛳️🛳️
Awesome! Happy it helped. Enjoy your cruise! Happy to answer any questions you may have.
We are from Bmore and this cruise port is convenient to cruise out of, despite the older ships they give us😂. Another great video!😊
It definitely helps me get my cruise fix not having to travel far. I have been on Carnival Pride, Legend and RCL Enchantment of the Seas. The Legend has been my favorite. They pack the new ship feel and activities on this old vessel.
I agree, love that’s it’s close to home. We’ll be sailing Vision OTS in October and the Norwegian Sun In December. I would love to see more NCL sailings. Hopefully one day the Bmore port will see newer ships.
Enjoyed this Vlog. I’m cruising the Legend in July
Enjoy! I believe they are getting a new cruise director. Come back and let me know how your trip went.
Live very close to the Port of Baltimore (for now). Based on your vlog I may consider a trip from Baltimore at some point. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching! If you sail out of Bmore come back and let me know how your trip went.
Thank you so much for posting this! We will be sailing out of Baltimore in October. Very excited as we live only 30 minutes from the port!
Nice! Come back and let me know how your trip went. Are you on the Legend or a different ship?
@@SeeItWithC Thanks I will! We will be on RCL Vision OTS in October and the NCL Sun in December. Vision will be my 2nd cruise (1st was on Celebrity Summit in May out of Bayonne) and I’m excited that we won’t have to spend much on travel this time around.
Hi C happy Friday night and I hope you having amazing day today and happy weekend and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter
Thanks Edward!
I am starting to plan a cousin's trip and based on this vlog, I am going to suggest this itinerary. Baltimore is a good central location for all of us. Thanks @See it With C! Great information, excellent content. Congratulations on the win!
Thank you for your kind words ❤️. Everyone was able to get to the port in 3 hours or less and we have a cousin who was scared to fly have so much fun that now she is willing to get to Gavelston for our trip next year.
Awesome video! Made me feel like I was on the trip with you! You guys are fun! I have been on the Legend once out of Baltimore about a year ago. Going on the Legend again in February. Done RCL several times out of Baltimore. All in all, it is not about the destinations, it is about the journey!
Cool, any plans to sail out on Norwegian’s newly announced routes out of Baltimore?
Actually, in January we will be sailing on the Viva for 7 days out of Puerto Rico. We are excited because of the new ship with state of the art amenities, but NCL tends to be a bit too expensive. Not sure if the juice is worth the squeeze, if you know what I mean. Not to mention when you have to fly to a port, you should arrive at least a day before and probably stay a day later - which is nice but also adds to the expense due to hotel accommodations etc. We can do about 2 cruises out of Baltimore for the price of one cruise when you have to add the air fare and hotel stay. But, YOLO! 😎😎😎@@SeeItWithC
You have a chill vibe, love it. ✌️
Thank you!! Just taking it easy and enjoying life.
Thanks for this.. Thinking about doing this cruise in July for a 15th anniversary trip.. We shall see if the price is right.. Thanks! Great job!
Cool I can’t remember if the Legend or Pride will be in Baltimore at that time but I had a decent experience on both ships. If I would choose between the two I had more fun on Legend.
Neicie....nice little ship. Looks relaxing and calm, and got the Piano and Alchemy Bar, I'm good! 😅
😂 yeah they packed all of the big ship amenities onto this little ship.
We went last Feb our of Baltimore on the Legend. Was a great Cruise, though the weather was terrible on our last day at Sea.
Yeah they made that older ship come to life with the variety of activities and entertainment
Oh my gosh you turned up! Yassss! Lol . Grainy footage or not i caught all the vibes ! This was a feel good video well done ❤
Thank you so much 🤗
Yes, it is fun! Yes, we’re gonna do it again! Easy on- easy off AND best of all, it’s a direct flight from Portland!!!!! We appreciate you ordering that Maine Lobster Bisque!!! Bet it was good!
Thanks for watching and commenting. Small ship with a big personality. Have you heard that Carnival Pride is coming back to Baltimore and will replace the Legend? I was pleasantly surprised by the steakhouse. I kind of gave up on going to steakhouses but my mom wanted me to go and I ended up having a decent meal.
We are from NE Pennsylvania and Baltimore is our 2nd closest cruise port (NYC being the closest) and love sailing out of this port! Its so much easier to get to and much cheaper! And sailing down the Chesapeake Bay is so nice as well. :)
Definitely a worthwhile cruise if you want the cruise experience without breaking the bank on flights
Yes, coffee has to come first. One time when we went past the Carolinas it hailed. The outside decks were closed and some passengers were out on the deck anyway. Even when my wife was alive I often took the stairs. Never went to the pool area when on the Legend. Inclimate weather. My wife had mobility troubles and Carnival took good care of her. They even changed our table in the dining room to accommodate the wheelchair she needed. Don't like waiters being entertainers in the dining room. They don't do that on other lines owned by Carnival. It is important to get rest before the ports. I like the ice carving demonstration.
Thanks for your comments! And yeah the dinner shows have gotten a little sketchy and feel forced. Overall Carnival is still my favorite cruise line.
Okaaaaaaaay... We see you, Lido Legend C! You earned yourself that Serenity time. Wow... they took it back to Kris Kross! Everybody's getting their party in!
Two great melanated djs on one ship
Have you ever sailed from Baltimore? If not, based on this video would you give this port a try?
I went on the Pride in 2019 I had no issues with the Port.
Nice! Easy place to sail in and out of. I sailed on the Pride in Sept 2021 and they were virtually giving rooms away.
Never sailed out of Baltimore. My late wife used to tell me it is very confusing on the Beltway. And Baltimore is not a safe city with very high crime rates. Been on the Legend though. Very nice cruise ship.
Frequently sail out of Baltimore.
What is your favorite ship out of Baltimore so far?
I see you enjoyed the legend, nice video 👍🏿
Thanks neighbor!
Thanks for sharing
We went on our first cruise on the carnival liberty last October. We had a great time. Would like to eventually cruise on the legend.
If you enjoyed Liberty you should enjoy Legend
Thks for this vlog. I'm going on the legend in August and can't find many vlogs for this particular ship
No problem! Come back and let me know how your trip went.
It's a nice smaller ship, about 2100 passengers. Are you going on the Greenland cruise in August?
I am not. That itinerary sounds amazing!
Nice view! I love there shows..
Thanks! Yeah I usually skip the shows but this cast was great
This was so good!!! I have been neglecting my own home port thinking that the ship was old and boring but you really gave a great perspective. I want to go NOW!!! Literally living 20/25 min from the port--no excuses! I was trying to book for Father's day this year but it sold out. Thank you for this. I hope you have more to post because I want to see more!
I would say Legend had a better line up of activities and talent than the Pride (which is coming back to Bmore, but I also sailed during the pandemic so maybe that had something to do with it). I would say both Carnival ships were a better vibe than the Royal ship out of Bmore. Looks like I will have one more video for this series! Thanks for watching!!!
@@SeeItWithC My sister did the RC years ago and did not have good things to say. I have always heard very good things about the Pride though, people really seemed to love that ship. I'm going to look in to it because it's kind of crazy not to.
@@SeeItWithC OH and maybe a short of the stateroom. What do they look like? Kind of standard CCL?
It (RCL) sucked but there is a contingent of people who get on that ship back to back and have built a little community. I don’t need a cruise to be “lit” but that vibe was waaaaaaayyy too slow. Basically only the casino, show, and latin bar as options in the evening.
Check out my Carnival Valor room tour, it was similar to that. I didn’t get to do a room tour this trip before we demolished the room 😂 Checking to see if any of my cousins filmed their rooms though.
This is awesome!! I live an hour away and went all the way to Miami to cruise.
Definitely give Carnival out of Baltimore a try. The Legend had many of the same features the big ships have. It was a solid cruise experience.
Here for the premier! #1stComment
Thanks for tuning in!
I will definitely have to try booking a cruise out of Baltimore. September we will be driving to Norfolk, VA to cruise on the Carnival Sunshine.
The Sunshine is coming to Norfolk this year? I thought it was staying in Charleston a little longer. I’ll be hopping on that ship next year. Warm it up for me!
Stair challenges, yes!
Gotta burn off those burgers.
Nice vlog! ❤❤❤
Thanks for watching!
Thank you Carlene
No problem! Thanks for tuning in. Have you sailed out of Baltimore?
No wasn't keen on it but I may have to because the airlines are being greedy for the holiday
Hey C,
Finally catching up on some videos! Loving them! Which ship is bigger MSC Meraviglia or Carnival Legend?
Hey! Thanks for watching. Meraviglia is bigger.
@@SeeItWithC awesome so I can heck it on a big ship! Lol
I'm only 30 minutes south of The Port of Baltimore, and I only sail away from there when all else fails
Understandable. I’ll cruise from Baltimore if I want to get away without spending on the flights.
Really enjoyed this video. Getting on board the Legend next weekend🛳️
Nice! Enjoy!!! They packed a lot of activities on that ship when I went in April. Come back and let me know how it went.
I was on the same cruise as you! Did you enjoy Nassau? Did you enjoy what stuff they did at the restaurants?
I like walking to the beach in Nassau and chilling there until it's time to head back to the ship
Quite enjoyable.
Thanks for watching! Have you ever sailed out of Baltimore?
@See It With C No. Although I live in Baltimore, I've only sailed Disney and Virgin.
I momma was a old freak. I see you women doing the butterfly 🦋 👀
LOL what segment of the video are you watching?
I will be on there on June 11
Enjoy! Come back and let us know how your trip went.
My family is leaving tomorrow on the same cruise.
Enjoy!!
My family will be cruising ext week. We are so excited. I was wondering how much is parking for a week long cruise? do they have designated parking for cruisers or we have to find parking/parking lot on our own?
Parking is $15 a day. It is a cashless system and you pay at arrival. Everyone parking at the port is cruising. They rotate sides of the lot based on if you are sailing with Carnival or Royal.
Thank you so much. I just want to make sure everything is in order. My family first cruise and I’m excited and scared at the same time 😂
You can only learn by doing. Research as much as you can and go from there. Enjoy your cruise. I found it a decent size ship for family especially since we had a few with decreased mobility so not too much walking back and forth like on the bigger ships. Now they are already for the Jubilee next year!
I heard the Red Frog band is good
I’ve found them to have great bands. My favorite band for Red Frog Rum Bar was on Carnival Pride
I also heard they’ll be on the Pride as well
It is convenient but the ships are old and small. The big ones can't make it under the bridge.
Definitely smaller. The Legend didn’t show its age as much as the Carnival Pride and RCL Enchantment of the Seas.
Hey im in Rockville, MD and interested in your experience sailing from Baltimore.
Hey Neighbor! Carnival Cruise Line is a better vibe out of Baltimore with diversity in activities. You’ll also see some amenities that newer ships have. The ships are a little older. I liked the Legend a little more than Pride which is supposed to be returning to Baltimore soon. Cruising out of Baltimore is convenient if you want to save money on flights. For bigger ships take the train to NYC’s cruise ports. Let me know if there is anything else that I can answer. Thanks for the question!!!
@@SeeItWithC great thanks and great vlog!
Was the steak house included ?
Nope, it’s a per person charge. Can’t remember how much though…maybe $49.99
Ppl sleep on cruising out of Baltimore
It was a solid cruise experience. It was a small ship with a big ship feeling in regards to activities and things to do.
Feels ghetto lol
😂 what makes you say that?
