Not only should Iowa not be first, why should any state be first? I'm an Oregonian, a state of similar population to Iowa, and our primary is in May, well after my primary vote can have any effect. Is there any good reason to not have a national primary day? We manage to do it for general elections.
Also would be a great idea to cancel out the Electoral College, and simply follow the results of the popular vote. The EC was created 6yrs after they discovered that the RICH Landowners would NEVER be the MAJORITY. The EC was established to give THEM the advantage, forever.
@@samanthamariefreeman335 The Electoral College system is clearly outdated and has been so for a long time now. Needs to go so we can have one citizen, one vote and the majority wins. The U.S. promotes democracy around the world and never once has pushed for any country to institute an Electoral College system. We shouldn't have one either.
Agree - often by the time there have been two primaries, some candidates have pulled out -- Where's the intelligence in depriving the rest of the country of a chance to select a candidate in the primary?
