Alvaro I think you are misunderstanding the perceived hostility between us and mexicans. The hostility at the border doesnt have to do with nationality. We just dont want illegals to abuse the system or bring in drugs. Country music's roots are from mexico my friend, there is no bad idea between us only against those that wish to take advantage of america and break the law.

@@ridenorthwest1687 Yeah, kind of the same when the first colonialists settle down in "Texas" by order and permission of the Mexican government, and later on without paying taxes nor giving a penny back to Mexico , they claimed 'Texas' as their land, and did ilegal stuff and fought the federal army to get what they wanted, taking, as you say, advantage of the system and braking the law! My first taste of Texas had blue eyes and golden hair
Beneath the Tennessee silver moon, we found a feeling we could share
And days made no difference, I'd been around and she was young
But my first taste of Texas still lingers in my heart and on my tongue
    Her gentle heart was broken
In a way that a tender lady shouldn't have to know
And mine was somewhere in between
Something I should hold on to or let go
Her talking blue eyes told me
The story of the love she failed to find
    And without conversation
I suppose the lines on my face told her mine
My first taste of Texas had blue eyes and golden hair
Beneath the Tennessee silver moon, we found a feeling we could share
And days made no difference, I'd been around and she was young
But my first taste of Texas still lingers in my heart and on my tongue
'Cause we're not done, we've only just begun
Begun to love, now the two of us are one
And days made no difference, we're still around and love's still young
And my first taste of Texas still lingers in my heart and on my tongue
My first taste of Texas had blue eyes and golden hair
Beneath the Tennessee silver moon, we found a feeling we could share
And days made no difference, we're still around and love's still young

Ya know, a lot of people say that George Jones was the GOAT, but I disagree… Ed just had a voice you could recognize on the radio in just a second or two… I was born in 1970, but I remember hearing him at age 12 on the radio, and stopped whatever I was doing to listen to HIM… From then on, thru present day, I STILL BELIEVE that he was the greatest songwriter AND singer to ever grace the stage at the Opry, and the best Male Vocalist in Country music… He has always been MY hero & idol, and always will be!

Many of today's country songs don't have Cowboy in them anymore. Ed Bruce was one of the few who kept this tradition alive.

Dear Lord, me and my beloved wife, Carlotta danced to this so many years ago. Navarre Beach. Florida. So many years ago. I was a 3rd Mate. Graduated from the UNITED STATES MERCHANT MARINE ACADEMY. Class of 74. I was sooooooo proud to be dancing with such a GORGEOUS SULTRY 5 foot 10 40 D cup flaming red haired flawless skin princess. And she says she felt more proud to be slowing with her man in his Dress White Officers Uniform. So in love. So long ago. So long ago.
