Hi, this was a really helpful video and did it this morning, I then used Zoom to present and the participants could hear the video, would you have any idea why, they could hear me speaking fine and could see the video playing but no sound for anyone?
Hi Karen, that's very odd. Could you hear the video when it played? If so, I think this is something you need to tweak in Zoom rather than Canva. I'm unsure if you need to allow your system's audio, as I do when recording sounds from my screen.
HI Nicky, this seems problematic that you can't make the video play from within the presentation. I see your note about needing to double click in Canva. I have my screen set up with presenter view on half the screen and then I have the presentation that zoom has the screen shared for over to the right. I can certainly have another tab open in canva and jump over there to double click but that starts the video in full screen which is not going to be within the bounds of my shared portion of the screen. If you're intending to post the video to RUclips, this won't work for you unfortunately. You need to be 'live' to double-tap the RUclips button to make it play in the presentation. What I suggest you do is check out Veed.io. It's inexpensive and will enable you to record your screen for a reaction video, and include your face at the same time. Just go to Record >> Screen and Camera. Good luck!
How can I export this for social media as opposed to a pdf? I would like to design a simple IG post with a RUclips as part of it. Is it possible to export this in a format that can be posted to IG?
This was helpful, but my issue is that I need to record my presentation to submit it and when I am in presentation mode, the videos won't play!! Is there any reason why or any way around it?
@@NickyPasquier thank you for the quick response. I guess what I was trying to accomplish was the ability to play the RUclips video inside the pdf, without leaving the page.
I'm afraid you can't, simply because you need to double-click to start the RUclips video. It won't automatically play. The only option you have is to upload the raw video file into Canva and edit it that way.
Do I need to upload this to Google drive or Google slides in order for video to play. I created a course that has my RUclips videos linked in it . I need to be able to send paid clients a link to course ❤
You can do what you like, provided you remember that a RUclips video in Canva needs to be 'activated' by double-clicking. I can't see how you're going to be able to get students to do this without giving them editing permissions.

I have one question though, I am trying to download a 20-25 minute video ( to my device ) on canva but the download gets to a certain place then it keeps freezing. Is my video too long or am I doing something wrong? Please respond as I am really struggling with this. Again, thank you so much for the video. I will definitely be checking out your other videos.😊
Hi Katrina, I'm sorry you're having problems with your video. I think this question is best directed to Canva support as it could be a technical issue. I hope you get it resolved 🙏🏼
@NickyPasquier my question thiugh is after you insert the video into a canva post how do you get it to ay automatically for an Instagram post in canva with various slides..because the video is not playing and there doesn't seem to be a clear way to make it play. .
That's so annoying! Either YT has changed something, or Canva has. I'll flag it up with the Canva team & share feedback if I can. If you want to add your own videos in this way, it will probably work.
Hi Jamie, try this workaround: copy the share link as normal in YT, go back to Canva, then simply paste the link into your presentation. So click Command + V (if you use a Mac). Let me know if that works.

You can download for social media if you prefer, but the RUclips video won't play. I'm fairly certain I explained this in the tutorial ;)

You need to be able to physically double-click a YT video in Canva in order to play it. It won't auto-play.
Creating a call to action button with a RUclips link doesn't show up for me. Any ideas? Thanks.
Adding a hyperlink to a YT video isn't quite the same as embedding a YT video.

when i press enter it always says "cannot be found" no matter what video link i try :(
