If you watch Jessica & Krystal reality show, they explained why they were quite on stage. Don't judge if you don't know fully about her. Don't judge her. You might make a fool out of yourself. My favorite version personally. Taeyeon x Jonghyun sounds like husband and wife who's been together for 10 years but decided to broke up. Chen and Liyin sounds like two great loves that did not last for long BUT this version feels like a first love that NEVER even get into fruition. Like both of them never knew the feelings of the other. The kind of first love you would always have a thought of "what if I confessed back then? Would our lives be different?"
interesting. and when Krystal sang the bridge part, I can sense the frustration in her. i wish they would sing again in live version so I can see their passionate expression

I really love Krystal's voice here, it really blends with Changmin's. Each version has a different feel to it, almost like you're really listening to a completely different song instead of just a different version.
I don't see the matter with Krystal's voice. Her voice is perfect to me ; it matches really well with Changmin's knowing both have high pitch tones. It gives a new soothing feeling to the song in my point of view. There are three different versions for this song and we can't compared the singers because they have not the same experience and each one interprets and expresses the song differently. Each one has its own charm.
In my opinion, I think Chinese version is full of sad emotions. Because of language and singers' expressions. I cried for Chinese version even my first listening and I didn't know the meaning of it at all. But for me, Japanese version gives me the relevant feeling of song's theme defined in description. Japanese version makes me feel like they're real teenage couple who has just broken up. And I also like their voices, too. Many people say that Krystal's voice is irritating or don't match with Changmin's voice or anyway but I think their voices are good together. I'm not f(x)'s fan. I'm Cassiopeia. I'm impassive with Krystal but for this work, I'm impressive with her singing.

ChangMin really rocked this song! His voice and style suits this song the best. Chen and Jonghyun did a great job too! But in terms of experience with lyrics in different language, ChangMinnie has tonnes. His younger-power-vocal hoobaes may need some time to get to this level.

Tbh when I found out Krystal was singing and Luna wasn’t, I was very disappointed in SM, but after listening to all the other versions, I think SM did a great job picking Krystal. She didn’t disappoint!-me... Yes, her voice may not be the strongest, or ‘the best’ but her voice matches Changmin’s voice extremely well. I noticed that every version is different (obviously in language wise) but because different people are singing each version, each one gives a different style. I really enjoyed this version than the others. This version is more sweet than powerful which I really liked. The others were amazingly great to! But don’t under estimate Krystal as I did because I’m starting to realise she’s not as bad as made it out to be in my head. SM ENT. Well done! (Y)

I don't understand some people. They call themselves f(x) fans but I see a lot of 'f(x) fans' bashing on Krystal. I actually see Krystal having the most hates out of f(x) actually. Is it just me who noticed this or what?
I think it's the same kind of hate Jessica from SNSD would get in the first few years after the group's debut. Both are assumed to be cold and disinterested, just because of the expression on their faces which in turn makes people think that they're really rude and that's why they get hate. :/ Of course that's obviously not the case. And I remember Krystal saying she's just a really introverted person and doesn't socialize well despite her profession in the spotlight.

You guys have to remember that the Jpnese language is gonna have a different feel and sound to it than the Korean or Chinese version. Japanese vocals dont have to be strong and powerful. I think this works well because its really light sounding and cute.
The song overall is fine just like the others, but I prefer the Chinese, Japanese, and then the Korean. That is honestly my opinion. Krystal's singing is fine, it's just that her nasal overpowers her pronunciation at times whilst Changmin has a much more clearer voice. If you compare Krystal to other singers in Japan, some also have nasal voices, so it doesn't affect me as much as it's affecting most people. Her voice is still strong despite it being sweet and soft. I'm actually glad they chose Krystal other than another artist because I think she fits it better than most.

To be fair, they don't always seem to know what they're doing. Mind you, I'm not talking about Jessica or even SM specifically. Professional or not, they are human and that means they can and will make mistakes. Frankly, I think that we can question the choices of the idol companies when we think that they weren't the best, but that we have to be careful not to mistreat idols when we do so; you have to remember that they are employees and therefore might not have had any say on whatever it is you're complaining about. And to make things clear, I'm not saying that I think they shouldn't have picked Krystal; personally, I love Luna but I can't really see her in this song (at least not the Japanese version, which I believe is the one with the issue).

I thought Krystal did exceptionally well on this, knowing her vocal abilities. Why do people say she was disappointing? What were they expecting, Taeyeon vocal ranges, or Luna's powerful voice out of Krystal's mouth? Krystal is still a great singer, although she lacks in volume, and being paried to sing with Changmin was a good decision; they blend together very nicely.
I actually really liked this version, both of them together were actually a REALLY GOOD PAIRING! Not to say that the other two weren't because they too were really good pairings. But I think this one would have to be my fav... I think because even though Changmin's voice is nice and strong, Krystal's voice actually compliments it well by being soft and innocent. So i'm gonna go with this one, based on the fact that Krystal was different from the other girls. I didn't think I would cry that much, but it was so touching that left me with a warmth and sadness feeling ;; It was truly a beautiful story~ Changmin and Moon Ga young were great in their roles .. and I can't believe I want them to be together in real life too, but she's just too pretty and looks great with Changmin..

I'm not trying to sound rude with the following statement I'm going to make, I'm just gonna clear things out. We're obviously not jealous of Krystal whatsoever, she's an idol, and of course she has to follow instructions from her company; what we, fans, find odd is the fact that they chose Krystal over Luna or even over some other artists like The Grace or maybe BoA. Let's look at the fact that her voice is not the strongest one you could have heard in your life; plus she's only a /lead/ vocalist, whereas S.M. The Ballad is composed of main vocalists. And let's not talk about her fluency in the language; f(x) barely promotes in Korea, hence they rarely promote in Japan, so why would she sing the Japanese version? They could have used Dana or Sunday from The Grace, they have more knowledge on the language; or they could have picked Luna simply because her voice is superior (Did you see her performance with Chen in the Christmas Wonderland joint concert? She has what it takes to be in a ballad sub-unit.) Changmin and Krystal did not perform this song live, why? No one knows, maybe Changmin's got a pretty tight schedule, OR maybe because Krystal wasn't going to be able to sing such song live without straining or cracking, so why risking her image. The only reason S.M. chose Krystal over everyone else is because they had to promote the singles with popular members in order for the income to be bigger; since no one really cares about The Grace anymore, and Luna has so little popularity, they chose the next person in the roster; which, of course, was Krystal. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of hers; but I do find it quite unfair for the other artists.

I don't see the matter with Krystal's voice. Her voice is perfect to me ; it matches really well with Changmin's knowing both have high pitch tones. It gives a new soothing feeling to the song in my point of view. There are three different versions for this song and we can't compared the singers because they have not the same experience and each one interprets and expresses the song differently. Each one has its own charm.

In my opinion, I think Chinese version is full of sad emotions. Because of language and singers' expressions. I cried for Chinese version even my first listening and I didn't know the meaning of it at all. But for me, Japanese version gives me the relevant feeling of song's theme defined in description. Japanese version makes me feel like they're real teenage couple who has just broken up. And I also like their voices, too. Many people say that Krystal's voice is irritating or don't match with Changmin's voice or anyway but I think their voices are good together. I'm not f(x)'s fan. I'm Cassiopeia. I'm impassive with Krystal but for this work, I'm impressive with her singing.

ChangMin really rocked this song! His voice and style suits this song the best. Chen and Jonghyun did a great job too! But in terms of experience with lyrics in different language, ChangMinnie has tonnes. His younger-power-vocal hoobaes may need some time to get to this level.

Tbh when I found out Krystal was singing and Luna wasn’t, I was very disappointed in SM, but after listening to all the other versions, I think SM did a great job picking Krystal. She didn’t disappoint!-me...
Yes, her voice may not be the strongest, or ‘the best’ but her voice matches Changmin’s voice extremely well. I noticed that every version is different (obviously in language wise) but because different people are singing each version, each one gives a different style. I really enjoyed this version than the others. This version is more sweet than powerful which I really liked. The others were amazingly great to! But don’t under estimate Krystal as I did because I’m starting to realise she’s not as bad as made it out to be in my head.

I don't understand some people. They call themselves f(x) fans but I see a lot of 'f(x) fans' bashing on Krystal. I actually see Krystal having the most hates out of f(x) actually. Is it just me who noticed this or what?
Just because they (me included) are f(x) fans, doesn't mean we can't criticize the girls... And yes, I have noticed that.
I think it's the same kind of hate Jessica from SNSD would get in the first few years after the group's debut. Both are assumed to be cold and disinterested, just because of the expression on their faces which in turn makes people think that they're really rude and that's why they get hate. :/ Of course that's obviously not the case. And I remember Krystal saying she's just a really introverted person and doesn't socialize well despite her profession in the spotlight.

You guys have to remember that the Jpnese language is gonna have a different feel and sound to it than the Korean or Chinese version. Japanese vocals dont have to be strong and powerful. I think this works well because its really light sounding and cute.
The song overall is fine just like the others, but I prefer the Chinese, Japanese, and then the Korean. That is honestly my opinion. Krystal's singing is fine, it's just that her nasal overpowers her pronunciation at times whilst Changmin has a much more clearer voice. If you compare Krystal to other singers in Japan, some also have nasal voices, so it doesn't affect me as much as it's affecting most people. Her voice is still strong despite it being sweet and soft. I'm actually glad they chose Krystal other than another artist because I think she fits it better than most.
I prefer japanese version of this song compared to korean and chinese version because their voice fits with each other well

Kicking out Jessica was totally justified and no one should question it. Obviously, SM has done some questionable things so it's normal for people to have opinions.
Even professionals mess up, hun. and normally, they tend to publicize people who people like or when a person is in the middle of a promotion.
To be fair, they don't always seem to know what they're doing. Mind you, I'm not talking about Jessica or even SM specifically. Professional or not, they are human and that means they can and will make mistakes. Frankly, I think that we can question the choices of the idol companies when we think that they weren't the best, but that we have to be careful not to mistreat idols when we do so; you have to remember that they are employees and therefore might not have had any say on whatever it is you're complaining about.
And to make things clear, I'm not saying that I think they shouldn't have picked Krystal; personally, I love Luna but I can't really see her in this song (at least not the Japanese version, which I believe is the one with the issue).

I seriously thought id read the comments and hear compliments, but no. I get people comparing this to the other versions & mostly hate to Krystal . (I mean, jeez everyone seems to hate Krystal & Jessica).
Krystal may not be the best singer, or on Taeyeons or lunas level, but in the kpop industry her voice is better than others. Personally, I just thought they only problem was their voices didn't really harmonize well.

Because sites like Koreaboo and Allkpop are only focusing on the Knetz, scandals, sex concepts, it's like it's all there is to Kpop. While Kpop is much more then that. Krystal is still a great singer, although she lacks in volume, and being paried to sing with Changmin was a good decision; they blend together very nicely.

I'm not trying to sound rude with the following statement I'm going to make, I'm just gonna clear things out. We're obviously not jealous of Krystal whatsoever, she's an idol, and of course she has to follow instructions from her company; what we, fans, find odd is the fact that they chose Krystal over Luna or even over some other artists like The Grace or maybe BoA. Let's look at the fact that her voice is not the strongest one you could have heard in your life; plus she's only a /lead/ vocalist, whereas S.M. The Ballad is composed of main vocalists. And let's not talk about her fluency in the language; f(x) barely promotes in Korea, hence they rarely promote in Japan, so why would she sing the Japanese version? They could have used Dana or Sunday from The Grace, they have more knowledge on the language; or they could have picked Luna simply because her voice is superior (Did you see her performance with Chen in the Christmas Wonderland joint concert? She has what it takes to be in a ballad sub-unit.) Changmin and Krystal did not perform this song live, why? No one knows, maybe Changmin's got a pretty tight schedule, OR maybe because Krystal wasn't going to be able to sing such song live without straining or cracking, so why risking her image. The only reason S.M. chose Krystal over everyone else is because they had to promote the singles with popular members in order for the income to be bigger; since no one really cares about The Grace anymore, and Luna has so little popularity, they chose the next person in the roster; which, of course, was Krystal. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of hers; but I do find it quite unfair for the other artists.

Even I know people like my ultimate bias [Jessica] strain their voices and are not able to sing freely without cracking once in a while.
